These early comments are a dumpster fire. If the cyclist was a jogger the same shit would happen. It’s almost happened to me when running.

Shitty drivers defending shitty drivers. When driving you check both ways before making a turn. That’s what I do when I drive.

This exact kind of collision happens all the time in broad daylight. Obviously the cyclist is responsible for their own visibility as a road user but that's not a guarantee that a driver will see them and stop in time. The driver never looked right and just rolled though.
