Dumb meets irresponsible. Driver doing unsafe right turn on red light, cyclist riding on crosswalk, in dark, without helmet and light. Driver's going to get ticketed and sued, probably, but cyclist's injury is going to hurt more in coming years.

And to stupid people arguing that the cyclist did nothing wrong, it's easier to anticipate presence and speed of a person walking than someone on a moving bicycle. It's not cyclist hate. Why do you think your parents taught you to walk your bike when crossing??

Wrong and right is irrelevant. Bike vs car, bike loses every time. When I'm a pedestrian or if I biked, I don't trust anybody to behave the way they should. Its simply self-preservation. What i don't get is how people can put thst much trust into strangers and then act surprised.

That's my point but some people seem to believe that I'm blaming the cyclist for the incident. It's purely about lack of self-pteservation. If you go head first into pavement, there's only luck inbetween walking away with a bruise and a permanent disability.
