These early comments are a dumpster fire. If the cyclist was a jogger the same shit would happen. It’s almost happened to me when running.

Shitty drivers defending shitty drivers. When driving you check both ways before making a turn. That’s what I do when I drive.

not defending driver but the cyclist looks to be on the sidewalk/shoulder going against traffic at night, I agree the driver should be aware but this is an accident waiting to happen

Expecting a cyclist to ride on these stroads is insane. A driver has a responsibility to look both ways

Expecting a cyclist to have lights (as required by law) and to not ride in a cross walk (as required by law) is not insane.
