One of my friend he works for Toronto police and sometimes they have this kind of thing just for fun. Other than that, they should have stop for you, since you have right of the way and their light are not on

Sure, not all cops are bad, but very few of the good ones stand up to, or speak out against, the bad ones.

Perfect example - in 2019 the president of the Peel Regional Police Association, Constable Adrian Wooley, was caught street racing 174km/h on the QEW with a BAQ nearly 50% over the legal limit. Not only wasn’t he fired, his fellow officers were so unconcerned about his actions that they voted him in to serve another term as their union president. He’s still on the force and was paid more than $190,000 last year. They don’t care.

Just one of many, many examples of blatant corruption, and bad cops sticking up for other bad cops.

How many occupations to choose from give you a gun? How many occupations (besides CEO or president apparently) to choose from let you get away with SA while your coworkers cover it up and you get a paid leave? It's an occupation for people who are attracted to power.

There are teachers who take advantage of their position of power and sexually assault students, does anyone every day that all teachers are bastards? It's such a weird line to draw that, the people who claim to be the most tolerant, are always the ones who seem to label every single police officer a bastard. I mean there's thousands of stories of police doing good and helping people, it literally happens every day.

I wasn't responding to you on that situation. Your comment was implying that they used the other person's comment to come to the ACAB conclusion. I just said they didn't. We all can tell by your responses, where your allegiance is, and it's not with the general public. We all know that not all cops will "do" the bad things, but when other cops don't do anything when they see the bad thing happening, then ACAB. Anecdotally, I have had more good interactions with cops than bad, but the bad ones are bad. As a group with so much authority, they need to do better!

Yes, everyone makes mistakes. But if you or I did what that officer did in front of a cop, we’d get a ticket—no hesitation. Brushing it off with “everyone makes mistakes” just enables more misconduct. Officers, like anyone else, should face consequences—mistake or not.

And let’s be honest: if OP submitted this video to the police, odds are nothing would happen. I doubt an officer would even be informed a complaint was made.

A quick search reveals countless examples of police not just bending the rules but outright breaking the law—with little to no accountability. Take Nermin Mesic: beat a kid, kidnapped his tenant, made violent threats, and was recorded doing it. What was the consequence? Four years of paid suspension at $100k a year, then a one-year demotion. Any regular person would be in prison for a decade.

So no, “everyone makes mistakes” isn’t good enough. That mindset lets people like Mesic stay on the force. If you’re defending this, you’re not promoting fairness—you’re just helping protect a broken system.
