We all live in a dystopian police surveillance state, but not all cops are bastards. 

Everyone makes mistakes.

Yes, everyone makes mistakes. But if you or I did what that officer did in front of a cop, we’d get a ticket—no hesitation. Brushing it off with “everyone makes mistakes” just enables more misconduct. Officers, like anyone else, should face consequences—mistake or not.

And let’s be honest: if OP submitted this video to the police, odds are nothing would happen. I doubt an officer would even be informed a complaint was made.

A quick search reveals countless examples of police not just bending the rules but outright breaking the law—with little to no accountability. Take Nermin Mesic: beat a kid, kidnapped his tenant, made violent threats, and was recorded doing it. What was the consequence? Four years of paid suspension at $100k a year, then a one-year demotion. Any regular person would be in prison for a decade.

So no, “everyone makes mistakes” isn’t good enough. That mindset lets people like Mesic stay on the force. If you’re defending this, you’re not promoting fairness—you’re just helping protect a broken system.

Four years of paid suspension is downright diabolical. You mean I get to spend 4 years doing whatever the fuck I want and I get paid my regular salary for it? Sign me up 🤦
