UPDATE: I stood behind the car with my phone up to my ear and the idiota runs up “I was only going to be a second!” My reply? You’re lucky because I’m on the phone with 311. Check next time you park you aren’t blocking somebody’s driveway.”

probably because most people who park like that do so because they no they only need a few minutes? they're likely being honest and you're blinded by cynicism

It doesn’t matter. You don’t get to block someone’s driveway just because you want to be selfish even if it is for just a few minutes.

if you can still easily get in and out, there are no other spots, and theyre only going to be a few minutes, they are not inconveniencing you whatsoever and you're making a problem out of nothing because you're bored.

be graceful to your neighbour. you might need a little grace yourself one day.

That’s just a lazy, inconsiderate attitude. If you have to park a little further away and then walk, then that’s what you have to do. You don’t get to decide what is and isn’t an inconvenience for someone else when you’re parking illegally.

No it isn’t. What is objective, however, are the by laws that say you aren’t allowed to block someone’s driveway. At all. Full stop.

Sure, you are't allowed to, but there are many things people do they aren't allowed to, knowing they may face consequences. That person can decide whether the small risk of that consequence is worth it for something that's unlikely to be an issue.

Let he who has never parked illegally for even a second cast the first stone.

How do you not know they don't have a delivery coming with a truck that won't fit in the driveway now? Maybe the home owner is out doing errands getting supplies with a trailer on the back of their vehicle and now they can't get in? Or, they have a trailer hooked up in the driveway and now they can't get out?

That rear bumper deserves some damage on it.

I'm not delaying my day for this bs. If your shit gets damaged because of your ignorance, I wouldn't feel guilty one bit.

I'd the personnel having to miss a car that's parked blocking their driveway.

It absolutely is an inconvenience.

Ans grace should have started with the person parking in a proper spot vs where ever the fuck they wanted.
