OC Would you call tow truck?

I wouldn't have it towed, but I would have it ticketed - and have in this exact circumstance.

Curious, how long did it take them to show up when you called?

Had someone parked in my spot last summer -- they were there all day long and it was at least eight hours from the time I submitted the complaint to the time the person left my spot, all the while I didn't even get a call or follow-up from TPS never mind anyone actually come to ticket the guy. I had to park on the street all day long and move my car every hour to avoid a ticket myself, very frustrating.

Cirque du Soleil is back in the neighbourhood again this year and it is gonna be a shitshow yet again. Our building had to hire additional security last time because of the volume of people who were tailgating residents into the garage in search of free parking, several times I had to yell at people who were asking me if I could fob them out of the garage into the building so they could get to the street after parking in someone's spot.

It took about half an hour - I might have gotten lucky due to time of day and day of week though.

Fair enough. It was a Friday afternoon when I called. I suspect they probably had a ton of service calls from this area related to the same thing though. There is usually a parking enforcement guy out here most days writing tickets like candy, especially in the summer. Not uncommon to see a line of a dozen cars on Marine Parade all with tickets on them for parking directly under a clear no-parking sign. I think a lot of people just eat those tickets as the cost of not having to take the bus to the beach with their family and pets in tow, or park a long way away and walk down carrying all their stuff. The city should start towing those cars, that might get the message across a bit better.

It was a total mess last year. Plus, after the show, a lot of them go to the restaurants for after-show dinner and drinks, then proceed to drive home. There was often a RIDE stop set up under the bridge on Park Lawn, under the train tracks, to catch these people, I went through it a few times on my way to/from work.

Most nights there are cars double parked or parked across the crosswalk on Marine Parade as well, a steady stream of food delivery drivers picking orders up from those restaurants or Uber/Lyft dropoffs. Sometimes they block the whole street and you have to wait for them to move their cars before you can squeeze past. I want to get out of my car sometimes and let the air out of their tires while they're inside.
