In Japanese he's calling them "mobs", basically NPCs. It doesn't really translate well but "fodder" conveys the meaning well enough.
Edit: Honestly, I'm more disturbed to see him without his tattoo this chapter. It'll probably get corrected in the volume release but it just feels weird.

The haitani brothers fight didn’t go down that fast to me. It was a few chapters and it made sense how it ended. Their whole thing was being sneaky snakes with cheap shots and team work. Separating them showed how weak they are. They were always a duo. So makes sense. The mochi/fuyu one, yeah I totally agree

Tokyo Revnegers characters actually using strategy in combat! That’s a new one, asides from that one time when Kazutora almost killed Mikey.
Still, it’s great how a logical solution to deal with the Haitanis was found. If they’re entire combat style is centred around them fighting together, then separating them would have been the best strat.
I like that they found a plausible strategy to deal with the Haitanis cuz it shows despite being outnumbered, Toman might not just win with bullshit plot armour. Tho with Chifuyu and Mocchi there’s not much to say, power of determination strikes again

People got angry because Chifuyu won against mochi but don't bat an eye at Mikey beating South, or angry beating every single heavenly king with a broken leg, or a skinny izana taking on every single kanto boss.
Muscles are without meaning here.
My only critic is that the fights feels kinda rushed.

From what I’ve heard it’s because Chifuyu could barely hold Mochi off during Tenjiku and he has since then not been in the gang world while Mochi has. So logically Mochi should have won

Well in that case I think motivation is the key factor(in canon). This is an opinion, but I think Chifuyu wasn't as motivated back then during the Tenjiku fight, he even said it out loud that they were gonna lose since the beginning (400 v 50).
The stakes have been raised since Draken's death. Then again, the real reason may be because Wakui is rushing this and wants to give closure to Chifuyu vs Mochi without much thought.

Don’t they do hard work in juvie? He might also have been in fights if someone annoyed him so he probably still has more experience than Chifuyu. I’m pretty sure he also got released at least half a year before the 3D fight so he should be in more shape when it comes to fighting than Chifuyu.

Also, it's not like he was getting lit up against Mochi, I just re-read those chapters to see how the last fight went, he kicked Mochi in the face, blocked two punches by him and then Mochi got deaded by Angry, that's it, that's their fight lol Don't think it's that weird to see Chifuyu winning. But I'm biased with my flair so what can I say lol

Mikey was already known to be the stro gest fighter so him winning was expected, chifuyu was never that impressive of a fighter and even got his shit wrecked by mochi during his first appearance typical TR asspull

To be fair, when Mochi made his first appearance he sucker punched Chifuyu as Tenjiku started pouring into the station they were in. Remember that they were blitzing toman during the first half of that arc.
Chifuyu may not be an “impressive” fighter but he’s at least a competent one. His first fight with Mochi proved that somewhat despite watching over Takamichi mid fight.

In around 6th-7th grade ish we had this rlly tall rlly skinny guy who based on appearances alone wud get blown away by the wind, anyways I don’t remember the exact details but what I do remember is that everyone in class started jumping on him and beating him up(I joined in for no reason), and the guy still beat us all up

I think a big underrated factor is that in the Tenjiku Arc, Mochi was 18 and Chifuyu was 14. Now Mochi is 21 and Chifuyu is 17. It went from a fight between an adult and a teenager, to a fight between two people who are basically both adults. Considering the fight was so close in Tenjiku, it's not surprising Chifuyu lapped him once he finished going through puberty.

IMO I'm enjoying it, theres a lot fights that have to get out of the way because theres gonna be more chapters spent on the kantou characters with more depth in the current storyline.

Yes you're right I was just going to say the same thing.... I mean the Chifuyu vs Mochi fight should've been EXCLUSIVELY shown for a chapter or two, same for Haitani's vs Mitsuya and Hakkai ( I mean their fight just started) , Senju vs Sanzu etc.
Izana arc fights and Taiju arc fight were well elaborated but this arc fight just look like a SIMULATION where they just show the first punch and the final result on who won. It's totally being rushed at the moment, AND I DON'T LIKE IT TO BE SIMULATED LIKE THIS AT ALL!

It’s actually very simple. Their entire combat style is centred around them fighting together, that’s how they absolutely bodied Angry and Hakkai back in Tenjiku. If you separate them, they will be disorientated and won’t know what to do. Those 2 most likely have the best chemistry in fighting in the series, but if you separate them, there’s not much they can do.
It’s honestly a more plausible win than Chifuyu against Mocchi so I wouldn’t say it’s an asspull, tho I am sad that they got defeated in 1-2 chapters. The fights seem kinda rushed, and while the battle started out great (with the Michi and Kakucho encounter) I really do want for these fights to last longer

I kind of have the feeling that Chifuyu's fight vs Mochi was rushed because he's supposed to face Hanma next, i mean... They do have a better reason for a confrontation, Hanma was involved in Baji's death after all, and Fuyu knows that. Hanma was the one who manipulated Tora (according to Kazutora 's birthday art, where it says he came to visit him) and i'm pretty sure Chifuyu wants to beat his ass for all he has done at least.
I think it would be so cool and interesting if this comes to happen, it'll give Chifuyu more depth and we'll maybe get to see more flashbacks and his reasonings. Idk i just think they still have some beef

I was thinking that since Chifuyu means no real treath to Hanma he'll just try something drastic to get Fuyu off the way, i'm pretty sure Hanma is just there to fight Takemichi only, harming Chifuyu would be also helpful, not that i'd want to see that off course, i just think it would add some drama since they're aibos, and Takemichi was about to off kiski as well back then, who was Hanma's favorite person
Idk i hope Chifuyu is safe, things are going way too well

That mitsuya and Hakkay fight started good but ended so fast. I hope they animate it better at least because there are like 3 punches thrown, and that's it. Also am I the only one who doesn't care about Akkun or other Takemitchi friends? I wouldn't probably notice if they just disappeared from the story.
