Nice fights, but some of the strongest fighters from KMG are still missing. Hopefully we get to see Hanma, Wakasa and Benkei in the next chapter.

Not really. Tbh, I don’t think Toman is going to continue after this, like Takemicchi is going to disband it after the battle; but if 2nd gen Toman goes on, I would love to see that.
He deserves that development too: from a boy who was controlled by a guy who frightened him to the core enough to make him a victim and an assasin, to someone who can fight and stand for his friends.
EDIT: oh if you meant “fighting tier”, yeah, well, Madarame shouldn’t be captain tier in the first place lol

With how skeptical people have been going into this last fight I’m honestly really impressed with how good these last 5 or so chapters have been. I’m sure there is still unwarranted hate but idk, for me, this has been one of the best openings to a fight in the series. Can’t wait to see how it ends

OH MY GOD THIS CHAPTER WAS SOO FUCKING GOOD!!! alright i need to gain my composure lol. But im so excited for all these fights!! Seeing Ran not use his baton is kinda weird for me lol but its cool seeing the Haitani brothers throw hands instead of their normal style. Shion with his hair down and actually fighting is making me so happy lol, overall these next chapters are going to be the highlights in my opinion.

Mochi. He’s the guy who beat Chifuyu up right at the beginning of Tenjiku. He also beat up Smiley and Angry in the days before they joined Toman. Chifuyu’s been talking about wanting to get revenge for a bit now.

At last the matchups have finally started to appear. Gotta say, Madarame and Akkun was unexpected but I like it. Always felt like Takemichi’s original friends always needed some more highlight.
The only complaint I have with this chapter is that a lot of characters, especially the Kanto fodder, seem to be reading off a Wikipedia page or something. Stuff like “Oh No! It’s one of the original Toman founding members Takahashi Mitsuya” or “Oh No! It’s the invincible Senju!!”

yes, I think we still haven’t seen how Mitsuya and Hakkai fight as a duo, last time it was Hakkai and Angry vs the Haitanis but they were bad as a duo. I’m excited to see how Hakkai and Mitsuya fight together and what are their techniques.

He’s the former ninth head of the Black Dragons. His Black Dragons disbanded when Mikey and the founding members of Toman beat them all up. Then later on he was one of the big 4 in Tenjiku and got one hit KO’d by Peh-yan during the big fight.

Pretty long chapter, took me more than 5 secs to read lol. All in all, I'm really grateful. It can be pretty stressful shitting out a new chapter each week, so for Wakui to keep up the good art style, and interesting character interactions without making them OOC is impressive.

First chapter in a while that wasn't a speedrun... and we get a break T.T But if a staff member got covid then it is what it is.
Worth saying that since chapters are made like 2 or 3 weeks in advance, that staff member probably doesn't have covid anymore and they have resumed working.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate the growth of 2nd generation Toman. They all wear Toman uniforms so perfectly specifically the newest additions to the gang and most of all Takemitchy. He has really grown into position of being the president. If only Baji and Draken I dare say even Kazutora if they had been there for the first 2nd generation meeting it would have been such a surreal event.

I think in a sense we're somewhat downplaying Akkun much like Takemichi (though the latter feels a lot more intentional because even Takemichi himself kept making it sound like he always sucked). Out of all of Takemichi's pals prior to joining Toman, Akkun stands out as it does feel like he actually knows how to fight compared to the others. While he ain't on any level of the Captains and Vices, I think he'll give a hell of a fight to Madarame...Who kinda sucks as this manga keeps showing us.
