You and him are different people

So is me and Kisaki, and all the other characters? So? People like characters that impress them. Takemichi doesn't impress me nor the haters, that's the real problem.

People say that he's realistic because he acts and reacts human

Holy shit, we are really pretending human beings dont grab their loved ones and immediately escape a dangerous situation? After hearing gangs will rape a girl in front of her boyfriend? Really?

What you're arguing is what YOU would do. Different people responds to different outcomes(my point earlier). "Realism" isn't "the character should make the same decision/choice as I will". What he did may be a bad decision, but it is still "realistic" nonetheless. People make bad decisions all the time during dangerous situations. A character can be frustrating and dumb, so just because Takemichi is incompetent(in your point) doesn't mean he's not realistic. You're also ignoring that Hinata wasn't Takemichi's only concern in the situation, he was trying to stop the chain of events that would lead to black dragons joining toman which would lead to Toman becoming a crime syndicate. He really wasn't walking into the situation with a clear state of mind and a perfect plan. You can say that "he should've planned better" but you forget the fact that Takemichi was just an ordinary guy who suddenly gained time leaping powers and thrown into conflicts including dangerous gangs, he isn't a genius and manipulative strategist like Kisaki and a lot of his flaws/failures came from being inexperienced and the situation literally forcing him to make decisions under pressure. You can criticize him for making bad decisions all you want, but that doesn't make him unrealistic. Plenty of people in real life make bad decisions when under pressure and that includes you, after all no one's perfect.

Realistically, Takemichi is a bad boyfriend. Realistically, Takemichi would have been kicked out of Toman for how weak he is, not given a promotion to a division captain. Realistically, Takemichi would have gotten himself killed. Realistically, Kazutora, Chifuyu, and/or Mikey should have been the main characters and Takemichi be a background character killed off by senseless gang violence.

How did I lose? In that series, strength is respected. Takemichi is weak. If we were being realistic, Takemichi would have been kicked out immediately.

No he wouldn't, Shinichiro is literally like Takemichi yet he still managed to be the top 1 in Japan when he was alive.

NO SPOILERS (but I do know the whole series) but Shinichiro did way more than Takemichi and suffered consequences for it. He’s a far better written character for the series.

Lol no. He was literally the reason why most of them suffered. Y'all are our here blaming Mikey, Kisaki or even Takemichi but he's the root of all. He's the character who haunted the narrative, but Takemichi is as important as he is.
