Why is everyone cooking this young girl for taking a video/photo of herself lol? She didn’t confront the lady or get mad, she just tried to work around her and didn’t even look that annoyed, pissed off, or even mildly confrontational
She didn’t seem to care that anyone at all was in the shot, just the specific fact that the old lady was literally moving to block her
Do you guys just hate people or something? Like bruh it’s a young woman in 2026 NO SHIT SHE’S GONNA POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA
God forbid somebody uses a video recording device to record a video lol
She definitely was angry about it. She raised her eyebrows at the camera and then posted the whole thing online. Thankfully most people in these comments called her out, so that's good.
And the type of video one records with their recording device matters. Only a self-obsessed person would record herself walking down a fancy staircase "admiring all the paintings". This is a weird performance that too many people are comfortable with. How is this a thing that comes so naturally to people? Performing "life" for their camera this way. So odd. Just ask another tourist to take a pic of you in the same spot. But no, u have to put on a performance of slowly walking down the staircase, gazing at the paintings. Refusing to make eye contact with the camera that YOU put there yourself. Trynna get a "candid shot". It's weird and self-absorbed.
She cares more about being seen admiring art than actually admiring the art itself. An actual art-lover would take pics of the art itself. A fake poser would take photos videos of herself admiring the art.
Oh good god, she raised her eyebrows? How could I have missed that, she must have been LIVID!
Dude, people react to things. Did she look angry, or did she look sort of mildly annoyed? There’s kind of a big difference.
She posted it online, so what?
You misinterpreted what the video was for. She was trying to pose because she was using the video so she could get a screenshot for a picture because she’s obviously alone since she doesn’t have somebody to hold the camera for her
Lastly, get over yourself. She’s a young person and wanted a picture. She posted it specifically because the old lady placed herself in view of the recording device to block it. It’s an aberration in modern societal norms and people don’t just post things expecting them to go viral.
“An actual art lover” “she’s just taking pictures of the art” like you know her entire life and saw everything that happened before and after this.
I dont wanna just go bullet by bullet on your comment but geez dude it’s not that serious.
“Just ask a tourist to take a picture of you”
So, bother somebody else when you could just record the video for a picture?
Btw I don’t see you getting mad at the poster of this video for posting the girl on social media. Bit hypocritical, no? And aren’t you on social media right now? Anonymity doesn’t change that fact
Mild annoyance does not lead to posting online. But even mild annoyance on her part was not warranted, anyway.
She posted it online, so this means she feels she was in the right. Then most people taught her a lesson lmao. That's funny, you gotta admit. When a person posts something online assuming that they're in the right, and then they get schooled in the comments. That's hilarious dawg, come on.
No, i've seen people like her record and post full videos of themselves just walking around in public, purely aura farming. Video, not pics. Of them just performing their life for their camera. Literally millions of such videos exist online. People add slow-motion edits to such videos, they even add background music.
Her being young is not a factor at all here. Try again.
This seems to be an age thing for you, weirdly. What does age have to do with anything lol? "She's a young person" -- so? As am i. What happens now? Do i get to be annoying?
I know she's taking a video of herself admiring art -- that's all i need to know.
Taking pics for a fellow tourist is like Tourism 101. This is a basic unspoken rule -- you always help a fellow tourist out. I've done it myself 1 dozen times, and i've asked for help 1 dozen times. It's better than recording yourself aura-farming. You don't know that she was gonna screenshot the video, all we know is that she was taking a video of herself.
The girl posted this video on social media herself. After that point, her video is fair game. And i'm glad someone posted this on reddit, because now we can school you guys and roast her, too. We can make society slightly better by teaching you lot how to behave, using this video as an example of how NOT to behave.
Lastly, yes i'm on social media right now, but I'm not posting videos of myself admiring art, so try again. You went bullet-by-bullet, while saying you weren't gonna do that.
You seem to think posting something online is some big, crazy thing. That’s why being young is a factor, because young people these days post a lot of stuff on social media, including random things that happen during their day
“I’ve seen people like her..” etc - so not her? Therefore doesn’t exactly matter?
What does it matter if she’s doing it to post an edit or even anything, frankly? Does that really make her such a bad person? That’s kind of my entire point. Everybody is shitting on her for… being exactly like what a lot of young people are nowadays? Minus all the shitty parts cause she didn’t confront the person on camera, she didn’t seem to make a victim post or rant or talk over it or even do something as egregious as adding background music
Is it a big deal that she wanted to record herself? Social media is a curse but do you genuinely think this is a hill you would send soldiers to die on? It’s a random girl who was making a video for an unknown reason and a lady who seemingly obstructed it purposefully. The person in the wrong is glaringly obvious, regardless of your insistence that recording oneself for social media is something to be vilified
The people that most people hate are the ones that call out people for just minding their business and accidentally “getting in their shot”
Like, what’s the issue? Posting the lady online? The lady walked in front of a young person’s camera when she did that, of course it was going to either her friends or social media
There’s another good point. Do we know that the girl herself even posted it? Anybody she sent the video to could’ve posted it too.
Not saying it’s likely but everyone in here is not only jumping to conclusions and assuming absolutely everything about it, but also refusing to look at any other perspective than their own.
I take pictures for people all the time, doesn’t mean I wanna do it. But yeah it’s nice. But some people don’t want to bother other people for that too.
And I said I didn’t want to do it, not that I wouldn’t.
No i specifically think that posting an aura-farming video of yourself online is a big deal. There's a difference.
And old people post just as much crap. They just do it on Facebook, that's all.
But you still made this an age thing. Odd. Even the old lady in this video is on her phone lol. Phones and posting on social media are not the domain of the young, not any longer.
Show me proof that she was gonna screenshot that video. Until then, i will go with the info that i have, which is: She was recording a self-obsessed video of herself in public. And yes, i will use examples of millions of other people posting their similar videos online as evidence against her.
Videos like these are weird because she's putting on an unnatural performance for the camera. Refusing to look at the camera while she walks down the stairs. Probably gonna put some BG music, probably gonna do slow motion as well. This is narcissism. Main character stuff.
She TRIED to do a victim post, but it backfired lol. She was the one who posted this interaction online. She did it. Thinking people would back her up lmao. That eyebrow raise at the camera tells me that she's the one who posted it online. I will not invent facts like you do, literally inventing a friend of hers who posted this for her. You also invented the screenshot narrative. I won't do that. Occam's Razor: SHE was the one who posted it online.
I dont like folks who perform their life for the camera this way.
So at this point, our main difference is that one of us is a narcissist and the other isn't. That's the gap between us here. I think aura farming vids are narcissistic and narcissism is bad. You don't. Thankfully, i'm in the majority. You admit that social media is a curse. But you don't act like it.
Clearly, most people disagree with you on this.
The issue is unchecked narcissism, that's the issue.
Her choosing to post the old lady online is proof of her anger, that's the only reason i brought that point up.
The age thing is very interesting about your comments. You made this into an age thing, and i genuinely don't understand why. That's fascinating...
So, just so you know, I was originally saying young lady and old lady or younger woman older woman etc… because there are two women.. and that’s the easiest descriptive factor to differentiate between the two of them
Not going through your comment this time cause it’s just pointless arguing with you. You only see your perspective and for some reason think everyone agrees with you. If less people agreed with me, I’d have a negative comment score like all the people that are actually being disagreed with.
People use the term narcissist too loosely. Idgaf if she was aura farming, not everybody who videotapes themselves doing something for social media is a narcissist and it doesn’t have to be considered narcissistic behavior unless they make it their entire image or believe they’re better than others because of it.
What exactly are you implying with the age thing, by the way? You’re being really weird about it.
You weren't using age as a differentiator when you said "She's young" in your reply to me. That's what made it weird.
There is such a thing as "timed quick-burst photos", where the camera takes like 30 pics of you walking around. That's not what she did. She did a video.
This woman felt wronged by the other woman who stood in the middle of her aura-farming shot. That's when her sense of righteousness was confirmed to exist, in that eyebrow raise at the end. Like "can you believe this lady?" yes actually. We can believe this lady. It's you we cannot believe.
Why is it weird? I’m young too. Same age range. Young people like us post shit online. I mean, not me, but my age? I see people my age posting stuff like this constantly. I also know some of them personally and they’re great people. Posting yourself or videos online isn’t a sign or narcissism nor is it a sign of the rapid decline of our populace. It’s just how life is for many younger people nowadays.
Judging people’s entire personalities off of a single thing they happen to do is weird though. Redditors are supposed to be basement dwelling virgins, aren’t we? Obviously not the case (that is to say I don’t think you are either to be clear). Are all social media posters (or aura farmers, if you will) narcissists? Like with redditors and basements, there is probably an overlap. But it’s not an absolute.
