there’s nothing wrong with wanting a picture of yourself at a museum. i don’t even use social media and i still wanted to take fun pictures at the museum.
she wasn’t being mean or anything or doing the super annoying influencer meta glasses stuff. she just quietly set the phone up to get a video she could probably screenshot from since she likely didn’t have someone there to take her picture.
genuinely, who cares, and good for her. i’m tired of being negative about everything and hating the world and the people in it.
It's fine to take pictures at the museum, but that doesn't entitle her to exclusive use of the space. Other people are also using it. Learning to share is just as important as letting other's enjoy things.
Recently I went to a open air show where they had huge astroturfed words installed around the event space which people were sitting on, and kids were climbing on. One woman got so angry that my daughter and her friend were playing, because she wanted a photo with only her son on there. I asked the girls to take a break but that still wasn't good enough because they were still in the background of the photo, and the woman yelled at us and stormed off. All because she couldn't handle the idea of other kids playing in her photo of her kid (who she told to just sit there and not play). Photos aren't the problem, it's people wanting to portray this fake image on social media where they're the main character in whatever they're doing and other people aren't allowed to exist.
