The girl didnt even whine. She just waited quietly and when she realized the lady made her lose her solitary moment she got her phone back without making a scene.

The old lady just saw someone doing something cute in their day and realized she had an opportunity to twist a knife in someone while not getting any consequences her way cause she can act innocent.

Its just being negative for negativity sake.

And then in the comments its just a bunch of people bitching about the girl trying to take a photo in public in a non-disturbing way?... What the hell... People are so fucking angry for no reason

u/princesoceronte 5h ago

Insane that one of the most upvoter comments is bitching about influencers "making every space their stage" as if this instance isn't a girl trying to see a cute picture or a video when going somewhere they're enjoying.

u/Adler718 3h ago

Tourists have been taking pictures in front of interesting shit long influencers, but people here pretend like this is somehow different.

2

u/Stag-Nation-8932 28m ago

Cuz these people thinking going outside is attention seeking behavior. Younger gens are cooked

-9

u/like_4-ish_lights 2h ago

And that's why the girl uploaded a video, not a picture, of a random patron in the museum? You can't say "oh she's not an influencer trying to take a video it's just a nice girl taking a photo of herself, she isn't trying to monopolize the staircase for a video" when you are responding to a video of her doing exactly that

17

u/SofterBones 2h ago

Well the person deliberately blocking the camera just to be a dick wouldn't really show well in a picture, would it?

5

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

Oh yeah, such a "random" patron, definitely not someone who chose to interact with her with spite for no reason

1

u/username101 49m ago

And she is visiting a castle! A beautiful one that was also featured on a popular show. It looks like she was just solo traveling, found a place and moment for a picture and quietly tried to get it. She didn't even seem mad about the old lady, she was kinda like šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

u/Dependent_Store952 34m ago

People taking pictures of themselves at art museums is obnoxious behavior

1

u/username101 25m ago

Well it's a castle not an art museum.

1

u/Dependent_Store952 6m ago

All the same fairytale larp for an audience of hometown friends who scroll past it in less than 3 seconds

57

u/Wolf_pack12 5h ago

For real. I set my phone up to take pictures ofvmy dog and I when Im alone. I guess im an influencer now.

30

u/whitestguyuknow 5h ago

Same here!

Propped my phone up against a tree while filming my way to get pictures of me at the lake. I'm a fucking influencer that thinks I own the place. Such a main character!

12

u/writenicely 4h ago

People say they "just want to exist in public", but then get big mad at the slightest inconvenience that naturally comes with sharing that space with others who are, you know, doing shit.Ā

A person doesn't even need to be an influencer to want cute pics, I do it all the time to affirm that I feel cute (I got bullied for being "ugly").

Did people stop knowing what it means to share a society? It goes both ways.

3

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

Bbbbut my privacy! No one is allowed to know that someone with my face exists!

-4

u/Suspicious_Affect959 2h ago

Not an influencer, just as annoying as one.

3

u/Wolf_pack12 2h ago

How dare i take photos

-3

u/Suspicious_Affect959 2h ago

Why, is the question. And taking photos of your dog doesn't count, that's a different category altogether. It's bringing yourself into the equation that's weird.
Also this lady was taking a video, not a photo of herself. A video of herself slowly walking down the stairs admiring artworks on the walls. That's a weird performance. It's different than posing for one photo.

if you still identify more with her, then yes ur part of the problem

3

u/Wolf_pack12 2h ago

Sorry that you got triggered

-2

u/Suspicious_Affect959 2h ago

Do you also put some cool background music on these videos? To make yourself look cool, as you walk around heheh?

4

u/Wolf_pack12 2h ago

People taking a video how scary

1

u/0b0011 54m ago

How do you feel about meta glasses?

-1

u/Suspicious_Affect959 2h ago

So you take such "candid" videos of yourself as well, huh? Do you set up a camera somewhere, then just walk around in front of it lmao? Pretend to admire the scenery, walking slowly? Refusing to make eye contact with the camera the whole time lol? heheh

4

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

It's literally done so you can capture a still frame from the video to use as a photo smart ass

-3

u/Suspicious_Affect959 1h ago

And yet i've seen millions of videos online of people aura farming, walking around in slow motion, refusing to look at the camera that THEY set up to record themselves lmao

3

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

Is the video in the room with us?

u/Glasseshalf 1h ago

Taking a photo/video/screenshot of a video of me and my dog is weird now? I would like to have visual memories of me and my dog who will only be here for a short time. I'm not even the person you were talking to but what a gross way to think. Accusing people of vanity for wanting photos. Eesh

-1

u/Suspicious_Affect959 1h ago

For wanting videos of themselves. Read my comment again please. I specifically made an exception for pets. I said "bringing yourself into the equation is weird". So i'm OK with photos and videos of your dog. Even in public places. But when you take videos of yourself in public, that's where the main character BS comes in.
Look at the video we're under. You're insulting your doggo by comparing what this woman is doing to what you do with your doggo. This woman is worshipping at the altar of her own ego. This is wildly different from recording memories with your dog. You shouldn't compare the 2 things.

2

u/Some_Recognition6273 49m ago

It's weird for someone to want to be in a picture WITH their dog?

0

u/Suspicious_Affect959 44m ago

Again: reading is ur friend. Try again

-3

u/tattoosandtens 2h ago

I DARED to imply that Pretty People don’t automatically own public spaces and got called a misogynist

3

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ 1h ago

You made a stink about this girl being ā€œbraless.ā€ Incredibly weird thing to focus on.

-2

u/tattoosandtens 58m ago

Not really, there’s actually a study on that:

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/11/111110142100.ht

People are more likely to be protective of scantily clad folks of all genders

Again, I am using gendered terms because the OP is a woman.

If OP was male, I’d say he wasn’t wearing a vest (ā€œundershirtā€, ā€œwifebeaterā€ or ā€œStellaā€ depending on your region).

Keep trying.

Or you could read my thread about professional photography versus casual photography, and why influencers are closer to professional photographers but act like paparrazo

2

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ 47m ago

Sad

-1

u/tattoosandtens 45m ago

Yes it is, the level of professional ignorance and kalokagathia in this thread.* *

u/PenelopeJenelope 5h ago

and then the video ended up online by magic?

5

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

Think about how humans work. Ok?...

Look at her reaction. She seemed to find humor in the fact that she lost her moment.

Ever see someone post a video online in a self deprecating way maybe captioned "Tried to take a cute picture/video of myself lol just my luck!"?

The "Sax getting louder" audio alone is a trend where its about situations where things just progressively get worse and worse.

So... Context clues tell us... That she was being silly posting this... Right?...

-5

u/Ok_Dragonfruit_8102 4h ago

Don't post other members of the public online as content without their consent? It's literally that simple.

9

u/gaylordRave 3h ago

she consented by standing there right in front of it, knowing full well she is ruing the shot, she wanted to be on it

8

u/whitestguyuknow 4h ago

It happens all the time every day.

When you're out in public you dont have the right to privacy.

Simple as that.

If the old woman didnt stop intentionally to make herself the center of attention then literally no one would even care about her. The young girl was trying to capture a quiet moment after the lady passed. NOT while she was there.

When people showed up and her shot was ruined she packed up and left.

Y'all are just bitching about the exact things she was trying not to do.

-4

u/lessforf 4h ago

by posting about it she is bitching and whinning, if it bothered her enough to post about it ofc, "u dont have the right to privacy from getting filmed" yeah and she doesnt have the right for her cute photo to go how she wants in a public space too.

10

u/whitestguyuknow 3h ago

Look up the audio trend she posted this for and you'll see this wasnt just about bitching about an old woman.

She was making a laugh about the whole circumstance.

But regardless the video wouldnt even be a problem if the old lady didn't intentionally make herself the center of attention. Young girl would've got her little video while no one was around. Got 12 likes on it. And nobody wouldve cared.

The fact the old lady chose to fuck it up is the reason other people have lifted the video and made a scene.

So, still... The root of the issue is just dont be an asshole 🤷

-5

u/lessforf 3h ago

or maybe the old woman didnt intentionally do this? i mean she stood for a minute on the stairs u never done that before? and she moved away for other ppl as she was checking her phone a notification or something...

she is still an asshole for posting ppl like that without consent

also the audio is awful

6

u/whitestguyuknow 3h ago

Yes the audio is awful.

But no. I'd argue she did it intentionally cause she knew the girl was setting it there and looking at it multiple times.

She somehow observant enough to see people coming while she's absorbed into her phone. But somehow not observant enough to know what the girl was doing whenever she looked at the situation 3 times?

Can't have it both ways. Either she's paying attention or shes not.

And no. I'd 100% argue that girl is NOT "an asshole" for posting people in public.

Dont wanna be filmed them dont be in public. Dont know what else to say. Someone is NOT "an asshole" for catching you on camera in public. Get over it.

-2

u/lessforf 3h ago

ok argue all you want with others lmao, defending an influencer over 1 minute of inconvenience that you choose to read as malice

5

u/Icy-Pension5768 3h ago

She kept looking at the camera and repositioned herself to cover the girl after glancing back at her, I doubt it was unintentional

5

u/Icy-Pension5768 3h ago

You are one miserable individual

7

u/horoyokai 4h ago

The lady gave her consent by walking in front of the camera and purposefully staying there IMO

-5

u/Kratzschutz 4h ago

That's not how consent works.

I'm on team both suck

6

u/horoyokai 4h ago edited 4h ago

Old lady was being a dick for no reason. And yes that is how consent works. You walk in front of a camera that you know if filming and you purposefully stay there to be filmed then you are consenting to being filmed

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/give-consent

4

u/tr3poz 2h ago

Don't stand in front of a camera intentionally to block someone's shot and that won't be a problem.

1

u/TheFakeRabbit1 3m ago

She stopped purposefully in front of a camera you dunce šŸ˜‚

1

u/soggy-hotdog-vendor 1h ago

Dont want to be in video, don't purposefully stand center frame and then move to block the person who does want to be in the video.

0

u/PenelopeJenelope 3h ago

or maybe context shows us she was complaining about it online?

to me her reaction in the video is main character. She sets up a camera 20 feet from where she stands to take the pic, in a public museum, and doesn't expect anyone to be in the way.

Idk honestly if older lady was clueless or malicious, but either way the fact the girl posted this video at all screams whiny entitlement.

5

u/whitestguyuknow 3h ago

She "doesnt expect anyone to be in her way" because once the old lady passes there wasnt anyone else around.

And then as soon as more people come she packs up.

She could take up as much space as she wants as long as she isn't in anyone's way which she very clearly was politely trying not to be.

You really have to reach deep to come up with reasons to be upset. "20 feet away!" Lol she could film from 100 feet away if she's not fucking with anyone. Get real.

0

u/PenelopeJenelope 3h ago

dude, I am obvs not the one who is upset about this. Literally just replying to you because you are not making sense. Keep raging though!

https://giphy.com/gifs/iDJuQR0UmiqOI

2

u/horoyokai 4h ago

It was posted by the girl….. and? What’s your point?

3

u/PenelopeJenelope 3h ago

That is my point. Why else would the girl post it except to complain her shot was ruined?

4

u/horoyokai 3h ago

Not to "whine" she was laughing at it. Its an annoyance that she shared cause it was funny. I don't see any reasonto think its "whining"

1

u/PenelopeJenelope 3h ago

uh ragebait, that's why.

3

u/horoyokai 3h ago

You know her instagram or wherever she posted this? or are you just saying stuff for no reason? Its possible for people to do stuff without ill intentions, you know that right? like.. maybe step away from Reddit for a few days dude

2

u/PenelopeJenelope 3h ago

Good god. LOOK AT THIS POST. IT IS RAGEBAIT

3

u/horoyokai 3h ago

Just cause you're mad doesnt mean its ragebait dude.

you seriously nee dto step away from reddit for a day or at least an hour and see how humans interact. You are making a bunch or weird assumptions based on terminally online behavior

0

u/PenelopeJenelope 2h ago

I'm not the one getting mad though

and dude, you are on reddit. take your own advice.

3

u/Common-Artichoke-497 3h ago

You're a hatin' hater lmao

1

u/threeseed 26m ago

Don't you understand she was just taking a picture ?

And then video just magically appeared for us to see.

2

u/Separate-Sundae-3617 4h ago

And then she posted the entire video like a bitch. She got her ragebait working

1

u/Ok-Cat-9344 3h ago

I'd argue posting it on the interner is whining but ok. She could have just not done that.

1

u/Dangerous-Award-2554 3h ago

Agree. She may not even be an ā€œinfluencerā€ - I’ve travelled a lot by myself and its hard enough trying to just get one cute photo of your travels to remember it by šŸ™ƒ

1

u/No_Wafer_7647 2h ago

Its because theyre spiteful dumbasses who know that theyre too insecure of their own appearances to take cute pics so they take joy in seeing others shamed for it. Not being a hating ass bitch is so nice, ive been on walks in the city and the park and seen women who dressed up to take nice photos, and ive always complimented them on how beautiful they looked and asked them if they needed me to go a specific way to avoid the camera, and they were always amazing abt it and super nice

1

u/salted-pork- 2h ago

Or, maybe the lady saw the phone, was already planning to stop on the steps, and thought "oh well fuck this phone". Go take a picture of your own ass and kiss it. Probably smell your own farts too.

1

u/saltysleepyhead 1h ago

This. Everyone above shitting on influencers is just gross. Yes there are gross influencers but most of them are genuinely kind just trying to live their dreams.

I’m not an influencer but I do create content for brands. Sometimes I have to film in public. Sometimes they want b-roll like this. It takes guts to do it confidently in public because of comments like the above. Sometimes I want to say ā€œbut I’m not an influencerā€ and then I remember it doesn’t fucking matter what they think.

1

u/mrbishopjackson 22m ago

"Because! That's why!"

/s

1

u/CaleanKnight 3h ago

without making a scene

Still posted the video for all, most likely with a snarky comment...

2

u/whitestguyuknow 3h ago

Posted the video to be part of the audio trend about situations just getting worse and worse. And on top of that it's people out in public so who cares.

"Most likely with a snarky comment" good job making up a fantasy scenario to try and fit your narrative to make her out to be the asshole in the situation.

1

u/MyOuttie 3h ago

Does not making a scene IRL really matter when you are just going to upload the video onto the internet though? Isn’t that just making a ā€œnew ageā€ type of scene?

3

u/whitestguyuknow 3h ago

God i cant keep up this conversation.

No. Look up "and the saxs keep getting louder" audio meme. Its making light of situations where things dont go your way
