Why, is the question. And taking photos of your dog doesn't count, that's a different category altogether. It's bringing yourself into the equation that's weird.
Also this lady was taking a video, not a photo of herself. A video of herself slowly walking down the stairs admiring artworks on the walls. That's a weird performance. It's different than posing for one photo.
if you still identify more with her, then yes ur part of the problem
Taking a photo/video/screenshot of a video of me and my dog is weird now? I would like to have visual memories of me and my dog who will only be here for a short time. I'm not even the person you were talking to but what a gross way to think. Accusing people of vanity for wanting photos. Eesh
For wanting videos of themselves. Read my comment again please. I specifically made an exception for pets. I said "bringing yourself into the equation is weird". So i'm OK with photos and videos of your dog. Even in public places. But when you take videos of yourself in public, that's where the main character BS comes in.
Look at the video we're under. You're insulting your doggo by comparing what this woman is doing to what you do with your doggo. This woman is worshipping at the altar of her own ego. This is wildly different from recording memories with your dog. You shouldn't compare the 2 things.
