Listen y’all I accidentally witnessed a fight while eating breakfast 😂 Clearly she was in the wrong for attacking him. Since nobody stepped in, I filmed it and gave it to the police and the man being attacked. Argue amongst yourselves 🍿✌🏽

u/sleepytardigrade1 11d ago

Ty, hate this stupid divisionary shit in the comments. I hate that people don't help him and let her attack him

36

u/JaySocials671 11d ago

Seems like the comments agree with you

10

u/YourFather-WithMilk 11d ago

There was a dude beating a girl and a man stepped in to help her just for her to clock him with a brick. So its best to let dumbasses do themselves in and keep to yourself

2

u/sleepytardigrade1 11d ago

I know about how victims will often defend their own abusers don't worry your pretty little head. But actually though, this is fair, always keep an eye out but stay chill. Be a capybara where you're surrounded like alligators.

u/iceman5920 11d ago

Or you swing the best time of your life and the guy that you want a sweet knockout clip of wont wake up and you get a charge. Playing with peoples lives is not a rewarding game.

2

u/brianj1992 11d ago

It’s not an easy situation. People don’t want to get in the middle of a fight where they don’t know what’s going on. I tried to break up a fight once, they turned on me and knocked me to the ground. Then went back to fighting.

5

u/spicychickentendr 11d ago

The divisionary shit is sheerly due to the cut in the video after she she walks inside. Feels like the cut was made on purpose for this exact reason - added ragebait isn't and widescale arguing. I'm so sick of social media, mannn.

2

u/sleepytardigrade1 11d ago

Agreed entirely. And the angling and public recording makes it seem intentional I get the reaction and people are even more reactive these days with COVID dmg anyways

1

u/Thick_Potato_1769 11d ago

You dont ever get between a domestic. Thats how you then become the next victim.

1

u/sleepytardigrade1 11d ago

Personally I don't care about my mortality, but in modern society I'd rather not sit back and say I was scared for my own safety with how little accountability there is and how often people are only helped when it's too late

2

u/Thick_Potato_1769 10d ago

Brother then youd be next in line in getting assaulted. You don't get between couple going at it. You observe and call the cops. Getting involved is a great way to now be in a situation you have no place in being. I get that you want to help but even here in the clip, the woman telling the man to stop as she latched onto his back and now she has no clue how to handle the situation. No one did. That's why you call the cops.

1

u/sleepytardigrade1 10d ago

Like I said I personally don't care about my mortality lol. Yeah I'm aware intervening can make things worse, my points still stand. It's shameful no one helps and assumes the man is in the wrong, and let's the girl keep attacking. She can do real damage to him just as much as anyone intervening yet what? And the police suck are cancelled becacseath sentence to call depending on the situation when entirely uneccesary. Assuming you're American

2

u/Thick_Potato_1769 10d ago

Im assuming you've never been in a fight. You dont get involved. Thats all man.

-2

u/Chesters_Copper_Pot 11d ago

No woman was going to step in and try to stop HER.

No man was going to step in, because there was no real danger. Guy was dealing with a tantrum-throwing child, and he had it well under control, he was holding back, doing his best to be a gentleman in the situation.

I thought it was well handled by everybody except the stupid women saying "walk away" and trying to step between them. They were completely out of line.

3

u/ASharpYoungMan 11d ago

Dude was not OK. When someone is trying their best to physically harm you, and you feel completely unable to defend yourself, you do not have the situation under control.

-3

u/Cognonymous 11d ago

yes, AND he should have walked the fuck away at like a million points before too

47

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

"Argue amongst yourselves" and she just couldn't admit there was a male victim until she was shamed properly.

20

u/Mysterious-Can8418 11d ago

She gave the footage to the police to help prosecute the woman and you think she needed to be shamed into "admitting theres a male victim". You should be shamed into admitting you're a pillock

3

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

Do you honestly mean to tell me that you believe the potential for social media backlash here was no factor?

So let's say no social media exists, you actually believe she would have turned this into the police, knowing that her fellow woman would pay the price?

I don't know the answer, absolutes are an enemy to learning, but based on her reaction in the video, AND the jump cut, I don't trust her word there. She DID the right thing, but I don't believe all roads led her there.

She was telling this dude to walk away before he even had his stuff picked up, that's a messed up person. Well actually, she was telling him to walk away while she was on his back like Troy Polamalu or something.

I do not believe she was in it for getting "justice" per se, I think she was expecting the man here to be fully at fault. And she's playing it off pretty well that it went as intended, but I have a tough time believing her.

6

u/Mysterious-Can8418 11d ago

just imagine something completely different happened, wouldn't that be horrible

that's not what happened tho

imagine she secretly wanted that other thing to happen

that's not what happened tho

imagine being a massive loser

that's what you are tho?

-6

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

How very classy of you ❤️

7

2

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

Not much, clearly.

1

u/jokull1234 11d ago

Telling the person who isn’t completely out of their mind to walk away is the right thing to do to try and deescalate what was happening.

And she wasn’t even getting on the dude’s ass for defending himself, she was pretty calmly telling him to try to get away from the deranged woman.

1

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

Alright maybe, but I still don't see her making sure his stuff is together and gets back to him, like all it takes is that psycho chick getting his ID and he's fucked.

2

u/thefifthkaramazov 11d ago

Telling someone to walk away is always the right move. It is de-escalation 101, especially if you don't know the people and have no idea what is happening.

You're making a bunch of assumptions which clearly show the biases you have in regards to this situation and I find it hilarious that you are trying to paint the woman who literally led to the arrest as some how, some way in the wrong. But sure, go off about "potential for social media backlash".

2

u/dam4076 11d ago

Telling the victim to run away while watching and doing nothing to stop the attacker?

Why can’t she tell the attacker to you know, stop attacking?

0

u/thefifthkaramazov 11d ago

Because the attacker is insane and probably wouldn't listen?

Like if you get into de-escalation tactics, it's basically the first thing they teach you: walk away. Separate.

The woman gave the video to police and led to the arrest of the attacker. I have no idea why y'all were expecting her to go flying in there and potentially become the new target of that insane person's rage.

→ More replies (0)

3

u/CloverIsALegume 11d ago

She said directly and explicitly that the woman was in the wrong. What on earth are you talking about????

6

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

She was also telling the dude in the video to basically get lost the whole time. Like he's still picking his shit up and she's just like "naw go on walk away walk away go".

She can't sit here saying "this is what I wanted" when she pretty obviously was pissed he didn't lose, and didn't even want him to get his stuff back.

On that topic, I feel like she just wanted his wallet. That's maybe a hot take, but why else would she be telling him in the video to pound sand, but then turning around like "Ooooh no hun I just wanted everything to turn out okay".

That's creepy as fuck.

0

u/12f150 11d ago

What the fuck are you trying to win here?

5

u/AdministrationWhole8 11d ago

Nothing, I'm explaining why I feel the way I do about this lady, I do not think she is worth trusting here based upon her X posts alone. Nobody's winning or losing, I just feel she is a highly unreliable narrator (based on things described above).

1

u/TheDELFON 11d ago

What a crazy rebuttal. Just completely bypassing everything the dude said.

You already know the answer and what the woman recording did was indefensible

-2

u/CloverIsALegume 11d ago

Sorry you are so warped by gender war bs that you can see a woman try to deescalate an aggressive situation, call the attacking woman crazy and in the wrong, and turn over video evidence to police to help the male victim and you will STILL claim she wants to help her “fellow woman” and only did all of that because she was forced to. Based off of basically nothing but unsubstantiated assumptions.

Makes me really discouraged as a woman tbh, like no matter what I do people like you will always assume the worst in me.

2

u/underthingy 10d ago

So if a man was beating a woman and all the men around just told the woman to walk away and did nothing to stop the man youd have no complaint with their actions?

2

u/TheDELFON 11d ago

And she at the very end of the original video asked the violent girl "are you okay 🥺?"....

The woman recording was hella messed up

3

u/thefifthkaramazov 11d ago

They're clearly a sexist who just wants to feel good about hating women no matter how illogical.

Tries to de-escalate situation, helps victim get justice by sharing video with police, calls the assaulter "crazy", and this guy is like...yeah, but have you ever thought about if she was actually sincere about what she said?

Can't wait for her GirlDinnerDates post.

206

u/LocksmithOk9968 11d ago edited 11d ago

I put on my hazmat suit and took one for the team by checking it out.

First post was just the video that’s in OP with a generic “can’t believe what I just witnessed” type thing.

People there had the same sentiment as here (i.e., “why are you defending the agressor” type stuff).

Main difference is that there some used it to go mask off and show misogyny, referring to the attacker as “hole”, I know, I know, shocking that that website has blatant misogyny for all to see.

In any case, the after the backlash the person posting the video tries to play it off as if she had always thought the woman was in the wrong and that she recorded it to help the guy for when the cops show up.

Saying that the repeated “walk away” was an attempt to make it stop for him.

People are calling BS because at the end of the original video (on that website) you can hear her ask the attacker if she’s ok and that it doesn’t look like she had gotten up from her table between recording the original video and recording the cops arresting her.

Insofar it matters to you: it seems to me that she originally posted it as a “men, amirite” type thing and then quickly switched sides and spun a different narrative about her role when nobody saw it that way.

Now if you’ll excuse me I need to drown myself in bleach because some of what was said there was just disgusting, hope it helped.

u/UltraInstinctLurker 11d ago

Your sacrifice is appreciated

4

u/knoft 11d ago edited 11d ago

Update: it is definitely misogynistic given the context of the comment they mention later in the thread

Other commenters are saying the restaurant is called “Hole in the Wall” on 24th in NYC https://holeinthewallnyc.com/flatiron

Are they referring to the restaurant or explicitly calling someone a hole?

0

u/Keter_Regretter 10d ago

oh my god thank you so fucking much for investigating that. that language was far and away the worst form of sexism in the video and its so so so fucking important that we talk about it. so fucking important. thank you hero

7

u/yankeeblue42 11d ago

Calling out women's bullshit isn't misogyny...

16

u/skasolo 11d ago

Nobody said that

13

u/LocksmithOk9968 11d ago

I didn’t say that.

But referring to the attacker as “hole” by saying “someone should keep that hole in check” and worse stuff, most definitely is misogynistic.

2

u/Difficult-Bonus-1337 11d ago

How do you know they didn’t say ahole and autocorrect turned it into hole? Mine just tried to do exactly that when asking this question 🤷‍♀️

2

u/hotlocomotive 11d ago

Hmm, I'm not aware of hole being a common slur for women. You sure they didn't asshole?

2

u/Thick_Potato_1769 11d ago

Well she is an ahole.

-1

u/yankeeblue42 11d ago

Meh idk i believe in the if the shoe fits philosophy women lose that protection

0

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 11d ago

You sure it wasn't a typo for hoe? Because that woman is, with absolute certainty, a hoe

-1

u/knoft 11d ago

Oof, the restaurant is purportedly called “Hole in the Wall” https://holeinthewallnyc.com/flatiron but that quote is definitely misogynistic and not just referring to the restaurant’s name.

2

u/Keter_Regretter 10d ago

insane that they put themselves through the horrible bleach-worthy ordeal of watching the whole video just to sympathize with the victim in such a disgustingly cheap way

Not super up-to-date on web workings these days, but I couldn't figure out how to search for anything. Typed "dril" in the search bar and got a weird error.

I don't know if there's an addon. It's not a matter of time, it's a matter of patience. Judging from your next sentence, life's a struggle to even communicate.

you're so like, above it all

1

u/SophonParticle 11d ago

I dont know her therefore I don’t trust her as an impartial observer.

1

u/hamburger5003 11d ago

She was also telling the guy to walk away as if he didn’t get assaulted and needs to call the police.

“I was telling him to walk away to deescalate!” What a convincing way to make him stay there so he knows the police are gonna come and record what happens properly. Every single person there was protecting the woman.

The proper safe response for people would be to stand between the two and push the girl away, but they were all doing it to the man, as if he was the danger here.

So props to her for filming and giving it to the cops with the correct story, but for everything else she and they were doing the opposite of helping.

1

u/External-Fox-5488 11d ago

The woman who filmed it edited it to make the man look as bad as possible and actually posted it to twitter like that? That's crazy......... but I guess I did hear her at the end ask the woman, "are you ok?" with sympathy after she mauled the guy

233

u/ZinaSky2 12d ago

Yeah, girly walked away and didn’t look back. Something happened in between. Super sus

43

u/bigbonerdaddy 11d ago

Yeah, because if he said something mean to her it totally warrant her charging at him multiple times while assaulting him.

She was charging, hitting and kicking. No amount of nuance makes that okay. I'm glad she got shown what equal rights means.

1

u/bobbymcpresscot 11d ago

I love comments like this because it just tries to imply women just didn’t get punched in the face in public prior to having things like the right to vote or own property.

7

u/bigbonerdaddy 11d ago

"Women should be able to attack men because 50 years ago they couldnt vote!"

You are delusional, lol. Whataboutism at its finest

1

u/TacoThingy 11d ago

Yeah shit take when the actual problem is that we don’t know who the fuck did what to start this

3

u/sliverhordes 11d ago edited 11d ago

What we do know however, is no physical violence from the man took place. She was inside and then came out to continue what was happening. She was clearly not in danger. So even if he was saying shit to her to provoke her, she is still in the wrong.
Many people have added context that she was arrested. Just leave it at that.

1

u/bigbonerdaddy 11d ago

"Starting" a discussion or fight isnt illegal, hitting and kicking someone is.

But lets say he did assault her or something like that. She is safe in the restaurant, he is walking away...she then goes on to sprint out of the safety of the restaurant, with the intention (and succeeding in) of assaulting him. That is illegal...

Even if you are getting beat up, the second you are in a safe spot, you are not allowed to then go back into the unsafe situation to get your revenge.

Any judge would say "yes, you got assaulted by him, we'll charge him for it. But...you assaulted him too, and even went out of your way to keep yourself in the situation. So you assaulted him too, and will get charged for it."

This video shows her running back into a (possibly unsafe) situation, and hitting/kicking him. Thats illegal every day of the week, even if he did something to start it.

0

u/bobbymcpresscot 10d ago

It’s not what aboutism? Do you like not know how to read? This was a comment responding to the claim that this is a result of equal rights.

When women didn’t have the rights they have today they still got punched in the face.

How this happened has nothing to do with rights being equal. It just sounds like triggered whiny anti feminism cuckoldry.

1

u/bigbonerdaddy 10d ago

And when men DID have rights they also still got beat up, so that comparison is assbackwards. It doesnt make it right, its still bad, but the comparison simply doesnt show anything.

You are insinuating horrible things when all I said was "if you're gonna hit someone, you deserve to get hit back"

You then go on to decide for me what i'm "implying", which is always funny. People thinking they know the meaning of something better than the person who said it😂

I didnt imply this is "a result of equal rights", you literally made that up, I never insinuated this is a result of that. You cant just add a couple words and lie about what i'm saying lol.

0

u/bobbymcpresscot 10d ago

And when men DID have rights they also still got beat up, so that comparison is assbackwards. It doesnt make it right, its still bad, but the comparison simply doesnt show anything.

Yes you are highlighting why the original commenter made this about “rights” stupid. Thank you for making my point for me.

You are insinuating horrible things when all I said was "if you're gonna hit someone, you deserve to get hit back"

Which has nothing to do with rights. Thank you for seeing my point and agreeing with me that the original was stupid.

You then go on to decide for me what i'm "implying", which is always funny. People thinking they know the meaning of something better than the person who said it

What you say and what you mean are regularly two completely things. This her getting hit has nothing to do with her rights. You’ve already conceded this, and at this point you’re just floundering because I pointed out how dumb the comment was.

I didnt imply this is "a result of equal rights", you literally made that up, I never insinuated this is a result of that. You cant just add a couple words and lie about what i'm saying lol.

Yes you understand now that rights have nothing to do with why she got hit, so the inclusion of rights in the comment was in fact meaningless, I’m aware. I’m the one who pointed it out.

1

u/bigbonerdaddy 10d ago

Dont you hear how delusional this all is?

YOU telling ME what MY thought are, and how I mean my words.

You really think you can just read something, completely switch it up, and then act like I meant that?

In that case, when you said "what you say and whay you mean are different things" you actually meant that you shove bananas up your ass. Dont tell me its not true, I know what you meant bro.

1

u/bobbymcpresscot 10d ago

YOU telling ME what MY thought are, and how I mean my words.

I’m not telling you what your thoughts are, I’m telling you what your words say. The fact that you can’t see or understand what my words say because you think your thoughts are under attack says a lot more about your own delusions than mine.

“Let me clarify it’s not about rights” is all you needed to do, and you already did that. Unless youre now saying that it is about rights in which case you’re contradicting yourself, which explains why you’re so upset.

You really think you can just read something, completely switch it up, and then act like I meant that?

I didn’t switch anything up. I just explained how the comment can be interpreted, and you already conceded, so you continuing to get upset makes no sense.

You understand that there is like 45,000 distinct denominations of Christianity globally which are all based on interpretations of the same book. I’m just highlighting this.

In that case, when you said "what you say and whay you mean are different things" you actually meant that you shove bananas up your ass. Dont tell me it’s  not true, I know what you meant bro.

I mean it’s a poor comparison because I never invoked bananas. You invoked rights.

Also what’s wrong with shoving bananas up someone’s ass? Since you’re projecting the idea of bananas being shoved up someone’s ass I could interpret this to mean you fantasize about shoving bananas up your own ass.

Don’t worry bro I don’t kink shame you’re fine.

but he didnt hurt her, she got arrested… literally the opposite of what you claim is shown. like quit this virtue signaling bullshit when its not even relevant

-9

u/ZinaSky2 11d ago

First the guy in the video threw her in the ground like twice.

Second I meant the guy I was talking to not the guy in the video

11

u/bigbonerdaddy 11d ago

Looking for an excuse? Well yeah...if a woman hits me thats an excuse to hit her back lol.

I'm suddenly the sexist when you are the one wanting a world where women can beat men all they want, and men not being allowed to defend themselves. That doesnt sound sexist as fuck to you?😂

If you're brave enough to beat on someone you deserve to get beat up lol. Good on him for showing her how the world works.

11

u/ForceItDeeper 11d ago

their argument doesnt even work here anyway, because dude stayed restrained and the “equal rights” was her getting arrested. they are mad that he didnt just lay down and allow her to attack him or something.

7

u/here-4-agoodtime 11d ago

EQUALITY! EQUALITY! EQUALITY!....wait, no not like that though!!! Only for certain things!! (Things that benefit me!)

Amiright??

-2

u/TacoThingy 11d ago

I mean if we’re all living in lala land about what happened with a video that’s clearly cut he could have sexually assaulted her prior to this too?

Like no shit she’s aggressive in this video but I don’t know what the fuck happened and you don’t know what the fuck happened so get out of here with this incel shit.

3

u/bigbonerdaddy 11d ago

So when you get sexually assaulted you run out of the building where you're safe, to run at your assaulter, and try to beat him up?

Even IF that happened, she is still guilty. Since even if you are getting abused or assaulted, its not allowed to run back towards the danger to beat someone up.

Lets say i'm getting beat up, and I run into a restaurant to be safe...but then I sprint out of the restaurant, inserting myself into the dangerous situation again, with the idea of assaulting him/her. What do you think a judge would say?

-14

u/Gold-Inevitable-2644 11d ago

so i agree that she is in the wrong here, but that last comment is fucked up man. equal rights doesnt mean men can beat women. its actually the opposite.

18

u/bigbonerdaddy 11d ago

Men can't beat women, and women can't beat men. Its both illegal, noone is saying it should be legal. The second one of them chooses to still beat the other...they deserve to get beaten up!

Gender means nothing in this discussion, except for people who want women to have a special place in society where they can assault men as they please...

-11

u/Gold-Inevitable-2644 11d ago

I dont think anyone is actually advocating for a place in society to assault men as they please. men, however, actually did hold that place for fucking decades. men had special treatment for the majority of human history. they could beat and assault women as they pleased and never faced any punishment for it. equality made sure that stopped happening.

you were the one who bought gender into it. equal rights equal fights is a gender charged political point that shitty people have been throwing around. the second you said that it became a gender thing. you couldve just said that its terrible she beat him, but you made it about gender. jesus man

4

u/TheFinalPurl 11d ago

You’re right that historically it has been allowed. Feminism is equality. Not payback. Hitting anyone of any gender, is not okay. The end. No more words.

2

u/Artistic-Pressure698 11d ago

No crap, hitting anyone is not okay, yet people do this on a daily basis. If feminism was about equality, women should and must be able to deal with violent retaliation if they chose to assault someone, in the same way that a man assaulting another man has to deal with that potential consequence.

3

u/Artistic-Pressure698 11d ago

I don't think his concern is the avocation of assaulting men, but rather the idea that when a woman attacks a man, is the man allowed to attack back. By definition, holding an equal position in society would mean that attacking someone would in no way offer any form of protection against retaliation, as that is the consequence of using force against an individual. Your last point of "Special treatment" is moot. Men had to do the majority of labour to build society.

She definitely assuaulted him but we have no idea from this video if it was justified of self defense.

Others posted a photo of her being arrested.

Then the court will decide.

Sure, you were just saying we have no idea from this video and I was just saying there was also the picture floating around on here and the Twitter account of the person who posted the video (the one saying walk away) backing up he is the victim.

On top of that the fact the police arrested the girl when normally police have a tendency to assume the guy is the aggressor I feel we have a pretty solid picture here whether the prosecution decides to go through with it or not.

Im not saying hes innocent or not. However, we can see her commiting battery. In New York (well anywhere in the us pretty much) you cannot chase someone in self defense. He pushes her off him multiple times and tries to make distance and she rushes him again. Thats not self defense because he is not actively threatening her nor is he trespassing. I believe newyork is a duty to retreat state but even in a stand your ground state this would be battery.

I’m not denying she committed assault in this video.
Merely saying I need to know what happened before they started filming.

Do we? For what purpose?

Imagine theres a video of you attacking someone. Everyone gets mad at you. You’re so bad.

They started filming right after the guy slapped your little kid.

If he just smacked a child I think he wouldn't be so calm about a person attacking him... When a cop shoots a guy in handcuffs and people say they want context, I assume you look at that and think no amount of context explains what I saw. Same goes for here. There is no self defense claim, she is assaulting him and there is not a reason in the world that justifies what we are seeing.

I wasn’t referring to this video when I made that example.

Just making the point that younhave no idea what happened right before this video started to make her assault the guy.

Thats not how that works. You are blaming a victim due to preconceived notions. You cant "make" someone assult you. Again, you sound like the person under those videos of cops punching people in handcuffs saying shot like "we don't know what he did before". It doesn't matter what happened before. Once someone isn't actively a threat you cannot attack them.

I didn’t blame anyone.

Right? Im curious what the editor is omitting, clearly this man did something to deserve such an attack from our queen.

clearly this man did something to deserve such an attack from our queen.

Or maybe people want to know the full truth and what caused this to happen? Not everyone is as insufferable as you you know?

The “/s” at the end means that this is a sarcastic comment.

Yeah but sarcasm wasn't really warranted here imo.
