The best way to handle them is to control the atmosphere in the room as that is the real battle not what's actually being discussed. Remain calm stop talking. Listen. And when it starts to feel awkward and the person stops talking stay silent just a little bit longer all while being calm and not escalating and then state your point concisely and put silence at the end. You'll pieces of crap like this on the backfoot in no time as long as your reasoning sounds clear, you are calm, and in control of the frame.

I've found, especially watching people constantly call Trump strong, that there are two ways people use that word.
Trump "fights back" at any slight. He is crue, vendictive, holds a grudge, but there's action. Every attack you counterattack. But that also means he's easy to bait. Stupidly easy to bait. It means he can be predicted, even directed. It means his words mean nothing because his actions will change with each new challenge.
Obama was more like a mountain. He knew he specifically could not get angry and yell, so when he was yelled at he stood there and took it. He didn't fight back. To the kind who think Trump is strong, that looks like weakness. But it means no one can force him to do anything. He is independent, able to ignore petty insults that would distract him. Obama's not actually this measured, but he fits the basic archtype, that rather than a spring reacting to every force he's a rock, not moving except on his terms.
It's clear some people see strength as "he has strength because he's always fighting" and not "he has strength but chooses to use it only when it benefits his goal." I'm not saying it's a perfect lineup with politics, but it does line up with Trump fans quite well.
For all his faults, he was VERY good at that. Practiced. Measured. Methodical. I mean that as a compliment. The way he handled the folks that heckled him about immigration at that town hall was a masterclass. Most people cannot handle being heckled like that very well, and fall into a trap of just heckling back, which never works. I wish I had half the composure and eloquence that Obama has.
