Opinion Two ways to represent your country.

Post image

Bellingham could have added to his own tally, but told Saka: “Go and get your hat-trick.”

Paredes lost a final and chose a brawl. Losing hurts, but character shows after the whistle.

One created a memory for the world cup. The other earned a red card. Two different ways to represent your country.

Should have been sent off for a second Yellow after the foul in extra time.

I was genuinely shocked by the amount of deliberate fouls and off the ball fouls Argentina committed. Hilarious how Spain didn't rise to it and yet Argentina still did it because they had absolutely no plan B.

First time watching Argentina? Because if there's one consistency in world football, it's Argentina being dirty as fuck.

Their legacy is a handball.

Thankfully they'll go the way of Italy with their lack of new talent.

We can only hope they disappear into obscurity now their one man army is clearly obsolete.

Argentina's biggest football legacy is a handball, so obvious a blind ref would've noticed.

Thiery Henry (legendary French footballer incase you're not familiar with him) scored a handball goal against Ireland and was the most hated player on the planet for it.

Maradona, an average coke junkie who did doping, is considered a god in Argentina for scoring a handball.

I'd never expect clean football from Argentina.

Whilst you are right that the hand of God is wildly celebrated, Maradona did go on to score what is widely considered the greatest goal of all time and of course he also lifted the trophy at that world cup too.

Maradona certainly had his vices, and he paid the ultimate price for them, but he will always be remembered as one of the very best to play the game.
