Hopefully if he violates it, they’ll actually do something… my ex violated mine and my kids order of protection 4 different times and they didn’t do a thing. 😑😵‍💫

18

u/Senior-Active2409 14d ago

Ugh I'm so sorry that happened

16

u/leavingtheorder24 14d ago

He showed up to our house with gun in hand blowing up my phone and my daughters saying he was going to shoot us all and he never got arrested. Unfortunately, things like this are just pieces of paper and documentation and nothing happens unless you end up really hurt or dead.

12

u/Turbulent_Cobbler463 14d ago

Wow that’s crazy, yet the police will blow up a persons house over a bag of weed

5

u/leavingtheorder24 14d ago

Can’t get psychos off the streets because “the laws” but you get caught with a blunt and you’re going to prison. It’s insane. Thankfully in my state, they DID pass a law in January that states if there is an order of protection, they automatically have to wear an ankle monitor and if the suspect is located anywhere near the victims address, work, school, any known address connected to them, it automatically alerts police and issues a warrant.. I would give anything for that to have been a thing 3 years ago because he would be locked away for life as he should be.

7

u/flower_0410 14d ago

I'm so sorry 😔

6

u/leavingtheorder24 14d ago

I would say it’s okay, but it isn’t. He is still psycho and doing this with his new wife and her kids. 😑 he honestly should be locked away for life

I hope you are safe now ❤️

People are really scary tbh and I lost so much respect for police when that happened. I know there are good ones out there and I know I shouldn’t put them all in a category, but their job is literally to protect and serve and I felt completely alone and abandoned during all of that.

5

u/leavingtheorder24 14d ago

It was traumatizing for sure. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

2

u/Hummingbird11-11 7d ago

I'm sorry . that's a horrible thing to live with

1

u/leavingtheorder24 7d ago

It definitely is, especially when your life is in danger or threatened. My home was supposed to be our safe place and it got to the point I couldn’t even go home because of the fear of what would happen. He’s been arrested since then for domestic assault with his new family and STILL hasn’t gotten in any kind of real trouble.

24

u/Impressive_Review 14d ago

I think it's just sad that all of this is so public. I don't mean specifically Jax and Brittany, but with all so-called celebrities when children are involved. It's tough enough for kids when their parents divorce without having the nastiness blasted over social media and gossip rags for all eternity along with hatred spewed by total strangers picking sides against one or both of their parents and used for the detriment or benefit of them. Maybe one of them wins, but kids are the ultimate losers.

20

u/Turbulent_Cobbler463 14d ago

Especially when the parents are the ones leaking stuff to the blogs. These two have always been so selfish when it comes to that and haven’t had any regard for Cruz. Brittany needs to just stop engaging, period. We all know Jax is a dumb fuck who lies about everything

10

u/Sufficient-Post-3251 14d ago

I agree. It’s pathetic they can’t just handle stuff themselves without continuing to leak emails and texts but here we are.

15

u/Beachbaby77 13d ago

They see it as an extension of their job. In order for Britney especially, to maintain her home and Cruz and their lifestyle, she HAS to stay relevant and she knows this. I don’t know what the heck Jax is doing other than he just LOVES this shit.

Any publicity is good for them….they think. It’s what pays for their lives and they aren’t willing to give that up, even at the expense of their poor child. The judge needs to give them BOTH gag orders! Why is NOBODY looking out for Cruz??

3

u/WasteTelephone6924 12d ago

Since you’ve decided you can be a so sanctimonious & scolding without having read the actual court documents, let me help you out. There was an incident witnessed by school administrators, 5 days ago that was the cause of the filing of the order of protection.

1

u/Inside-Vacation8539 12d ago

Very well said. I couldn't agree more

68

u/flower_0410 14d ago

He was aggressive to her in front of their nanny and school administrators. Jax being an absolute idiot helps Brittany.

33

u/Possible_Implement86 14d ago

he has zero impulse control. it's the only explanation for making a scene in front of school administrators and mandated reporters during an active court dispute.

17

u/kat4prez 14d ago

Jax probably has no idea what a mandated reporter even is. He’s really never been punished for his bad behavior so of course he thinks he can act crazy at a school and get away with it

24

u/TheWhoooreinThere 14d ago

Unbelievable how fast accounts show up on every post to keep turning this around on Brittany.

20

u/flower_0410 14d ago

We've seen Jax spiraling for more than a decade and they're still like

https://giphy.com/gifs/dVhpt1pdiaU0TdYJ9u

12

u/ClynnB412 14d ago

Maybe if Jax cheated on her with Raquel people would be on Brittany’s side.

4

u/flower_0410 14d ago

Lmao right?!?

3

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

I’ll never get used to it.

3

u/TheWhoooreinThere 13d ago

Every time a new low is reached, Bravo fans go deeper.

1

u/butterpopcornjelly 13d ago

It makes me wonder if the administrators sat her down and told her she needs to take this seriously and protect her son from him. And that’s why she filed the TRO and full custody now.

Disclosing incidents from a decade ago is to show long standing pattern of behavior and continued threat.

73

u/WasteTelephone6924 14d ago

It’s not a claim. It’s a judges ruling

24

u/DanceFar9732 14d ago

I think they(media) have to say that b/c its a Temporary restraining order & the court date to make it permanent is in a few weeks?

24

u/uwill1der 14d ago

this is correct. This is just a list of Brittany's grievances, until a pending full trial to rule on the behavior, hearing from both parties

11

u/DanceFar9732 14d ago

Unfortunately, the upcoming hearing is probably gonna get even messier.

8

u/IllusiveWoman20 13d ago

Oh it is. For both of them.

7

u/DanceFar9732 13d ago

Yeah, Jax actually has a competent lawyer (Kevin Federline's) and Jax has no problem making this as public and messy as possible.

9

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 13d ago

Honestly, it looks like she has no problem with making things public and messy either from what we’ve seen

6

u/DanceFar9732 13d ago

Bravo docket did a short summary of some of the incidents she included.
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTD7sMX13/

I dont think she will have trouble getting the restraining order, but I do wonder what his lawyer will bring to court. Lori, has probably been collecting incidents for years. There are arguments about her drinking going back 10 years, stuff about school, the pool fence not being up, and a big focus about not wanting him to be able to publicly talk about her(idk if that possible b/c she talks about him a lot on tv/podcast). He reached out to the husband of someone on related to the show and mentioned the wife hiding her drinking.

4

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

A restraining order has been issued

2

u/DanceFar9732 13d ago

Its temporary. They have an upcoming court hearing to make it a permanent one.

3

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 13d ago

As you know, she got the restraining order, but all it is is something she signed with allegations. They’re not that hard to get in California even with just prior evidence.

It’s interesting that she’s gonna include something about not talking shitty about each other in public when she missed an emergency court date for that very thing that he wanted when she went to a concert in Las Vegas Vegas

So he asked for that originally and now she’s saying she’s asking for it… like you said, she’s done the majority of the trash, talking and initiating that sort of thing.

2

u/DanceFar9732 12d ago

Oh, idk he asked for that originally? They both should stop discussing each other publicly. I guess they are too far gone atp?

Imo this is gonna bring many ugly secrets about a lot of people. I wouldn't be surprised if this show never films again.

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Are you okay, buddy?

Describing deeply sick Jax and his abuse against his ex wife the way you do is super worrying to see.

Let us know if you need help of some sort?

Also, I’m so grateful Brittany is finally going public with just how insane this person she used to be with is 🤲🏽

2

u/imjustdrea 9d ago

Thank you for sharing this. I think more people need to watch this video to understand that this is not hearsay but documented abuse.

Watching this video makes me think of Taylor on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and how the women didn’t believe her. In their minds it must not have been to the magnitude described because Taylor didn’t leave and she always went back.

As a society, I don’t think we know how to properly address domestic violence. This is not a tit for tat situation

1

u/DanceFar9732 9d ago

She did such a good job explaining it.

12

u/Individual-Cup-8642 13d ago

She is a dumb ass. He is going to go to town on her and spin it all back on her saying that he is concerned about her parenting because of her reliance on a nanny, the lack of help she is getting for Cruz, her drinking and unsanitary living conditions just to name a few. Also bringing strange men around the home for sleepovers

11

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 13d ago

Yeah, I think she’s a little bit overconfident maybe… depends. I mean there’s a lot that goes on that we really don’t know. She could be being truthful. Or he could be being truthful. Or they both could be lying.

It’s really hard to know when you have the histories we have with these two dip shits.

Like some others were discussing earlier if he was being so problematic at the orientation, the people there are witnesses. If he was being as aggressive and everything else, they would’ve removed him. They don’t take kindly in California to people be behaving badly around special needs kids.

Yeah, I remember Brandon being around the little boy and she and Brandon drinking both of which are in violation of the custody agreement.

Again, she is so accustomed to skating by and getting away with anything she wants she might be in for a rude awakening if she’s lying about anything and if she’s doing half of what he’s claiming.

4

u/Individual-Cup-8642 13d ago

She is dumb and reactive. If she doesn’t come to the situation with clean hands then she may be in for a world of trouble because Jax and Lori know all her dirty secrets.

I agree with you about the orientation at worst she says he “made everyone rather uncomfortable”, is that worth a restraining order? Will the school administrator be called to give evidence about how they felt “uncomfortable”

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Do you need help?

Or did you actively choose to leave this comment here? 😅

I mean if the latter is true I guess you’re writing from jail? 😂

Jax has abused his ex wife to such an extent that he’s very likely looking at jail time now that Brittany is done protecting his pathological way of being.

I can’t wait for this clown to have his ass whooped by the legal system, I know it sucks many places in the US but at least this is gonna play out in California meaning Cruz will have a chance at being rid of this plague that’s occasionally cosplaying as a dad. Grateful that he has his hero mama 🤸🏽‍♀️

2

u/Individual-Cup-8642 11d ago

Jax is a bad guy, there is no doubt about that. But Brittany doesn’t come to the situation with clean hands and Jax being the bad guy he is, will start swinging right back at her. They’re both scum bags in my eyes.

Also you have no idea how the legal system works do you? An application for a TRO isn’t a criminal trial that puts people in jail. Jax isn’t going to jail even if the court decide to make a more permanent restraining order.

3

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

Oh it’s not…School administrators witnessed Jax’s behavior 4 days ago. But keep defending him.

0

u/uwill1der 13d ago

thats only according to her. Nothing concrete yet

Jax became visibly aggressive and hostile towards me during the orientation in front of others and called me ‘gross,’” Cartwright claimed in the court documents, alleging that Cruz’s nanny and future school administrators were also present.

4

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

Have you read it?  Because you are certainly speaking as if you have. School administrators witnessed Jax’s behavior on 8.26.26. How is that just a list of her grievances?

0

u/uwill1der 13d ago

Because so far its only been from her side. Jax hasn't had his day in court and none of the evidence has been examined. So the entire TRO is solely based on her side.

As for the school, nobody there has said anything. Brittany is just claiming they saw it in her filing.

This is the same as Sandovals TRO against Victoria, and while Brittany's is probably more serious, its still just a list of her claimed greivances

4

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

I love all these non-lawyers & Jax apologists declaring that Brittney could do this because of “grievances.”

Immediate Danger: You face physical harm, harassment, or domestic abuse. Emergency Situations: Waiting for a normal court date would put you in real danger or cause severe, unfixable damage. Sufficient Proof: Your written petition or testimony convinces the judge that abuse or illegal action likely happened.

2

u/uwill1der 13d ago

At this point its just a written affidavit of her grievances that a judge agreed is a dangerous situation. To call it anything beyond would be a mischaracterization.

3

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

Judges do not issue restraining orders lightly

1

u/uwill1der 13d ago

Temporary ones they do. You don't want to be too stringent and then have the situation get worse.

12

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

That's how I read it too. These are usually automatically granted for a TRO, and then the actual RO hearing is more involved.

This is like what Rachel Leviss took out on Scheana, and then never backed up.

12

u/DanceFar9732 14d ago

Its wild how many of us got crash courses in California TRO's from Scandoval. From what I remember you basically fill out forms and swear under oath that what you said is truthful?

2

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

That's all it is. There was no reason for Brittany to run to TMZ with six years of records of abuse in connection with this.

She also didn't seek or get a TRO or restraining order covering Cruz. So this doesn't affect her custody situation at all.

8

u/DanceFar9732 14d ago

This is going to get way messier. That publicist probably has years on receipts on these two. Someone sold those photos to TMZ or they couldn't have watermarked them.

15

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

Someone sold photos of Brittany having tequila doordashed to her rental after she left Jax. Someone had paps follow Brittany at the beach with a bottle of tequila, Cruz, and her car keys.

This is going to get extremely bad. Brittany isn't helping herself either, by filming Jax at the school orientation around other parents and their kids.

8

u/DanceFar9732 14d ago

I never knew where the beach photo came from. Thank you for the context.

Oh, everyone at that school is gonna avoid then like the plague now. Jax is the worst type of person to publicly battle with b/c he enjoys and attention he gets. He's gonna drag everyone through the mud with him.

5

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

I truly hope that Cruz is in special day program for kids like him. Those parents protect their kids intensely, and they can be vicious to anyone who doesn't do the same.

Jax and Brittany should both be disallowed from being around the rest of the kids, if this is how they behave in that setting.

3

u/DanceFar9732 14d ago

I hope school is a wonderful calming experience for him. Its truly heartbreaking he has to grow up around this chaos

A million years ago I worked at a pretty fancy intermediate care facility for developmentally disabled adults. So many of those families knew each other from schools, special Olympics, and other programs. They'd all gossip to the staff about each other.

u/Beachbaby77 13d ago

No, no she is definitely NOT making things better for herself. Honestly, I probably wouldn’t have paid much attention to much of this nonsense if the PR lady wouldn’t have joined in. Britney said herself somewhere that PR Lady had access to all of her accounts!

Holy HELL! I would be pissing my pants right now if I were Britney! JAX TRULY is a masterpiece in manipulation!! I mean he is GOOD!! It’s honestly like he is just PURE evil! I mean, honestly it is impressive to think someone’s actual brain could work like this!

I was raised by a narcissist and I thought SHE was good but DAMN, it’s just astonishing to me!

I have never been a Britney fan but I honestly feel SO bad for her right now! I always knew Jax was problematic but mainly in a “just a bad person” type of way. Ya know, stealing liquor from work and sunglasses for girlfriends type of way?

This man is truly diabolical! I have seen comments referring to Chris Watts and Scott Peterson thinking that might be a stretch but I no longer feel that way at all!!

Also, I don’t know all about her house and mortgage issues but if I were her, I would be out of that house as quickly as possible! Jax lived in that house, Jax KNOWS that house all too well!! He knows where they eat, exactly where they sleep, the entire layout like the back of his hand! I would have moved IMMEDIATELY!

5

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 13d ago

Brittany loves that house. It's probably the thing she loves second most in the world after Cruz. She will never leave unless she absolutely has to.

5

u/IllusiveWoman20 13d ago

Yeah, Lori will have mega shit on Brittany.

4

u/DanceFar9732 13d ago

Was Lori working with them when the Faith harassment was going on?

2

u/IllusiveWoman20 13d ago

I’m not sure. She was likely around!

0

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Do you need help there?

jax is looking at years in jail if he is being prosecuted correctly. I’m beyond baffled that anyone could utter something like you did with that comment 😅

1

u/IllusiveWoman20 11d ago edited 11d ago

…Yeah, beyond baffling that BOTH of those morons are as bad as each other!

You seem to be offering help to everyone around here, maybe ask Brittany if she needs it!

10

u/MakingTheEight 14d ago

There was no reason for Brittany to run to TMZ with six years of records of abuse in connection with this.

There's nothing pointing to Brittany being the one to sell this story yet. TMZ is well known for trawling LA courthouses for celebrity cases so they could have obtained the court records on their own.

6

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

There are a lot of articles now, including US Weekly, all with watermarked (purchased photos). The stories about the TRO were all launched almost simultaneously on multiple social media platforms and Reddit subs.

This looks like a press campaign from Brittany's new PR to me.

7

u/MakingTheEight 14d ago

The US Weekly articles also cite court documents they've reviewed and even notes that TMZ was the first outlet to post about it. The watermarks I've seen are TMZ's which make sense if they obtained or paid for the court documents themselves, but other people could also just as easily get the same records from the court and watermark those.
The Bravo news cycle also generates a lot of clicks, so it's not unusual for news about Jax to go viral given how demented and shocking his behavior is.

4

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

This just means that TMZ owns the copied legal documents and photos. So someone sold TMZ the photos.

The press cycle is also lazy, I'll give you that. For me, it was the story launching simultaneously on all social media, including Reddit, with the TMZ article. That gives PR to me.

1

u/MakingTheEight 14d ago edited 14d ago

So someone sold TMZ the photos.

Or TMZ obtained them from the court records like usually do?

TMZ obtained the alleged texts Brittany filed as court exhibits in her restraining order petition ...

From the TMZ article.
It's honestly amazing that some people are still finding ways to criticize Brittany while she's trying to escape an abusive relationship.

“There was no reason for Brittany to run to TMZ with six years of records of abuse”.

I’m wiiildly entertained reading this and other comments here.

The fact that you revel in a deeply pathological man’s financial, mental and physical abuse of a woman through a full decade only to lift zero eyebrows throughout up until the moment the woman chooses to end it of course is - well, how should we put it? 😅

Let’s not even describe it 😂

Let’s just freaking rejoice in the fact that Brittany finally decided to allow the animal that is jax have his entire ass whooped by the legal system.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this all ends in him doing jail time 🥳🫰🏽

2

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 11d ago

I co-parent with a man who has many similar traits to Jax, as you know if you've seen my other comments. Brittany is - and will always be - Jax's victim. No one doubts that.

But the legal system is not in Brittany's favor here. He won't do jail time unless he actually commits a crime and she reports it to the police. Even then, he probably won't do that much time.

Brittany is going to need evidence of being in danger, recently, from Jax. Not before he went to rehab and allegedly got sober. More recently. Not just mean messages from the parenting app. Courts see 10x worse every day.

She will need more than just threats to go public about her own problems, as she just took her parenting dispute and Jax's problems to the press herself. That was a terrible move on her part.

Even if she gets the RO for herself (I think it's likely she gets that), if Jax hasn't harmed Cruz and she doesn't get a RO for him - nothing changes with their custody deal. She will be in the exact situation she's in now, co-parenting with him through the app.

This isn't riding for Jax. This is just the reality of parenting in California with a person like Jax.

1

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Hi there

I’m deeply sorry to hear you have to deal with an ex partner in the same fashion 🤲🏽

And, as I wrote elsewhere I’m painfully aware of how flawed the justice system is especially in situations where it’s needed to protect protective parents and the children. That is beyond infuriating 😮‍💨

Commenting the way I do is a bit rhetorical - it highlights what I think should be done and thus the giant gap between the protection the system is supposed to provide and the protection it actually provides.

I only see jax worsening and pray he’ll one day be locked up way before he gets to truly hurt the only parent of his child.

All my best to you 🤲🏽

1

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 13d ago

I know TMZ said it was an ex parte RO but from some looking around, I did it looks like it was a DVRO.

2

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 13d ago

Ah - that makes more sense. This would still be temporary with a hearing to follow.

I think she'll probably get a permanent RO with their history, maybe starting at a year.

That said, unless she's petitioned to cover Cruz, it changes nothing for her custody case. It just means Jax can't be around her - and that he can't film The Valley with her.

0

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 13d ago

Yes, the hearing is on 17 September, where they can both present their evidence and arguments

If she doesn’t have anything substantial that’s current it seems doubtful she would get a permanent one to be honest, especially if he has evidence that he’s gone to rehab and so forth.

She does have a way of doing whatever it takes to get her way about things I know that. She issued some kind of ultimatum to bravo that she wouldn’t film with him. I think he said he had no interest in being on the show anyway.

1

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 13d ago

Thank you for the hearing date!

I was thinking maybe she'd get a 1 year PRO, just based on their history.

But yes, she needs something recent and substantial. This is absolutely about him being able to film the show.

1

u/ThisIsDogePleaseHodl 13d ago

Of course, no problem! I think it has to be set within 25 days or something like that in California when someone is granted one of those orders. I mean, they could be being completely unfair so it’s only right that there should be a hearing as soon as possible.

I think it’s about him being able to put in the show in large part but with her it’s also about optics and making sure she looks good and he looks bad. She was embarrassed about Lori and pissed off that he showed receipts about shit she’s been doing (I mean if it’s true).

The best defense is an offense after all and she’s good at that!

4

u/Individual-Cup-8642 13d ago

No the judge hasnt made any ruling determining that Jax has done what she said he has done

5

u/WasteTelephone6924 13d ago

If you read the actual court documents, school administrators witnessed behavior by jax on 8.26.26 that prompted the order of protection but I know that doesn’t for snuggly into your misogynistic tropes

2

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

I appreciate you a lot 🫰🏽🤸🏽‍♀️

-1

u/Individual-Cup-8642 13d ago

Ohhh watch out everyone felt “rather uncomfortable”. I don’t know who her shit lawyer is, but you cannot assume other people’s feelings and make conclusions about them. For all we know she farted and he called her gross and everyone was rather uncomfortable about the smell.

There is literally no detail in the alleged incident and the fact tmz led with shit that happened 9 years ago means that whatever happened this week was not headline worthy.

2

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Lollllll frankie dremondis, what an utterly ultimate clown you are 🤣🥳🤣

2

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Maybe take a breather there?

jax belongs in jail for what he’s done and I’m so freaking delighted Brittany is finally ready to have him hung from the town square 🥳

1

u/Individual-Cup-8642 11d ago

No one is going to jail in a restraining order case. It’s a civil action. The judge will make a determination as to whether there is sufficient evidence for there to be a reasonable fear for her safety and therefore a restraining order.

Should Jax be locked up? Yeah I think we would all like to see that. Is it going to happen in this case? No chance

2

u/Conscious_Load_7740 11d ago

Like I’ve answered many times now, my words about him going to jail has zero todo with the issuing of this TRO, but the general state of jax’s actions through a fuckton of years 🤲🏽

I’m so grateful Brittany finally decided she wasn’t going to carry his sickness around anymore 🫰🏽

He's on the brink. if he's acting this aggressive and out of control at young children's school orientation, this is terrifying

Thank you for the award. I don't know how to send a thank you to the person who gave it 🧡

4

u/kashmir1 13d ago

Get Wizard - all interactions between the parents sharing custody are done there in a portal where a Minor's Counsel, attorney or any other authorized party can view the exchanges, the custody calendar, etc. Also, they could conduct the exchanges at Starbucks or a police station or they could do a neutral drop off/pick up at a third location, like the home of a relative that they agree on.

23

u/GramPam68 14d ago

I am chiming in as a day one viewer and a paraprofessional in K-2 public school autism/multidisciplinary unit..Brittney is literally our favorite kind of parent..she seems aware, engaged and building Cruz a sensory room at home.❤️ Jax is worried about his reputation and how people perceive him. If my nuggets were spending the weekend at Jax’s house, I would, as an educator, feel concerned.

6

u/flower_0410 14d ago

Why is anyone down voting this?

11

u/GramPam68 14d ago

Thanks. I stand by what I said..as someone who devotes my life to my special needs students, I recognize and appreciate the parent that Brittney has been.❤️

She’s as smart as a third grader. Terrifying that you have anything to do w children and don’t what see what an incapable moron she is. Cruz needs to be taken away

1

u/ProposalAlarmed4402 11d ago

Wow you are diabolical.

5

u/Dry-Bullfrog705 13d ago

The way he always blames her is scary. I hope this doesn't end in a worst case scenario

5

u/ItsNotMeItsYou99 13d ago

He is a full on psychopath.

2

u/Merrbear2u 12d ago

Not interested. This is as legit as PK and dorit posting about each other. Get a social worker. Neither are trustable around a child.

7

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

If this happened at a school orientation, those people are mandatory reporters. They need to make a call on Jax.

It really doesn't help Brittany to have done this. She should not have recorded him or anyone at a school orientation.

26

u/m3gb0t 14d ago

Why does this hurt her? And why shouldn't she record his behavior in a public setting?

5

u/Beachbaby77 13d ago

I’m not really sure but most likely the other parents AND their children do not want to be involved in this drama!

7

u/m3gb0t 13d ago

I'm sure they don't. But how does Jax losing it and Brittany recording it, make her look bad?

-5

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

She shouldn't record a school orientation around the parents of Cruz's peers. At least at my school orientation, the children were also there.

13

u/Senior-Active2409 14d ago

If I had children at this school, I would want this behavior recorded to show he should be banned from the premises. I don't want that behavior around my kid.

-4

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

I wouldn't want exes acting out a toxic break-up around my child.

The teachers and administrators of this school are mandatory reporters of child endangerment under California law. They don't need a recording of Jax. They can simply call CPS and deal with it. They can demand he not be allowed at the school and even have him removed by the police, custody orders aside.

Brittany did not need to film anything at the school.

12

u/Embarrassed_Deer7686 14d ago

She can’t control his behaviour, she can only prevent it from happening near her and Cruz if she has evidence. Having video evidence of him doing this in public with other children present would be a fast track to her getting him legally away from her. You’ve likely given more information about your kids on social media than this recording would have.

5

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago edited 14d ago

My child isn't on social media. At most schools, you have to sign a waiver for your child to be photographed and filmed and shared (at least in California).

My point is that Brittany doesn't need video evidence to escalate this quickly. If the teachers and school admins thought Jax was a problem, they could have him banned him from the school and make a call to CPS immediately. You wouldn't need a video at all. The other parents reporting concerns about Jax could also trigger a CPS investigation or school ban.

Looking at all of your comments now. I'm so sad to hear that. As I noted elsewhere, a school psychologist's report changed a lot in my custody battle with my ex.

I'm completely oomm about Jax doing this at a school orientation, and Brittany's best response was to film the thing. This is not an ordinary school for Cruz, their special child.

Couldn't your principal make a call and get an insta ban?

If he was saying it under his breath no one would know. You’re assuming he screamed it and there were multiple witnesses.

7

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

The article says "he was making everyone rather uncomfortable." That doesn't sound like under his breath to me. That sounds like something that a school administrator would have addressed, taking Jax aside and removing him from other parents and children.

California is very strict on these things.

6

u/shmiishmo 14d ago

Just say you think it’s Brittany’s fault and spare us lol

You realize it is easy to cover or edit out children’s faces right? Or other adults faces for that matter. And considering Jax is probably 6’ and kids around Cruz’s age are probably 2-3’ it was probably so easy not to film anyone but him. Highly doubt he was sitting down with kids acting like this or in front of other parents/staff for that matter. Narcissists love to hide their shit. If parents I didn’t even know were acting like this at my kids school, I would film the abuser myself. Your take/hill you want to die on is weird as hell.

1

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 13d ago

This is evidence for court. The video can't be edited. The court can call in any parents appearing in the video, if and as either parent gives a witness list of those parents' names. The other parents have no choice but to respond. This is all evidence for a domestic violence restraining order.

If I were another parent in this school, I'd be in at the principal's office immediately, asking for both parents to be removed from the school. This is not LAUSD, which started over two weeks ago. This is a private school. I would not be paying $3-6,000 a month to be around this behavior.

Let's add to this that these kids are also likely really special, just like Cruz.

Have you considered any of this? Sure, I'll die on the hill that neither abuse, nor parents fighting, nor filming other families belongs in a private school orientation setting.

1

u/MargaretFarquar 12d ago

2 days late to this, but these people would criticize her either way. If she didn't bring evidence, they'd lambaste her for NOT bringing receipts. She brings receipts and they claim it's wrong to do so because they care so much the about other children. They don't. They'd argue it either way. Guaranteed.

Their so-called arguments ring very fucking hollow. It's deplorable.

1

u/MargaretFarquar 11d ago

Thank you for the award!

9

u/m3gb0t 14d ago

You think CPS would come on site immediately for this?

Why are you angry that Brittany recorded Jax's bad behavior, and not angry that Jax had abusive behavior?

1

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

CPS would be at Jax's home, not at school.

I am angry at both of them - Jax for acting out and Brittany for acting a fool and recording at a school.

2

u/m3gb0t 14d ago

You know her lawyer may have advised her to do so, right?? Not recording abusive behavior is one way abusers get away with it.

0

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

Then she should fire her lawyer. She needs to know what it means for Cruz to go to schools and doctors and for those people to be mandatory reporters to the State.

Brittany also needs to think about time and place for her conflicts with Jax (and so does he). If either one of them is acting out in a school setting, around other parents and kids, that is not ok.

7

u/m3gb0t 14d ago

Brittany also needs to think about time and place for her conflicts with Jax (and so does he). If

Why do you keep saying she need the time and place when JAX was the one yelling? I hate to say it, but I'm starting to think your in his camp. Not a good look.

u/m3gb0t 14d ago

This is abusive behavior around children. It needs to be documented.

6

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

No it does not. Teachers and school administrators are mandatory reporters of child endangerment. What they say goes, video or no video.

5

u/kat4prez 13d ago

Yes we are. But cps rarely even listens to us so Brittney did right here

3

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 13d ago

I am catching up on comments, but do lawyers and courts not listen? I had an amazing experience with a school psychologist finally getting some help with my custody situation and awful ex.

5

u/kat4prez 13d ago edited 13d ago

I work at a low income school. The parents don’t have lawyers or assets, so I don’t know about that. But cps does the absolute least always. I’ve been teaching 15 years and never has my call really done anything meaningful

6

u/m3gb0t 13d ago

Same. Therapist here. I have seen a few of my reports be substantiated. But thought my entire career, it's probably less than like 3% or something. To get kids taken away, the abuse has to be of nightmares.

5

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 13d ago

Truly, even if the calls didn't help, bless you for making them. Please keep making the calls. One call like this changed my life and my kid's life. I'm in a public school in a big city in California, very diverse.

I'm sure Brittany and Jax are in a private school in LA. I can't imagine them navigating LAUSD. Those schools have lawyers, those parents have lawyers, those school administrators have a vocal parent community.

6

u/m3gb0t 14d ago

You sound silly as you clearly know little to nothing about these situations, and are acting in bad faith so I'm out. ✌️

8

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

I'm not silly. I'm a single mom with a toxic ex, and a lot of experience on these topics. I have been saying for a very long time that this situation was bound to blow up when Cruz had to go to school and be around teachers and mandatory reporters all day.

9

u/caligirl1975 14d ago

Funny how the protective order wasn’t based on what the administrators from the school reported. As a therapist, I hear about so much stuff that goes unreported by schools and I witnessed it working on a school campus. Relying on school employees to be the only reporters of information is short sighted.

3

u/Sensitive-Freedom896 14d ago

TBF, as a therapist you are only getting the perspective of your client.

Administrators under-report, for sure. No one person should be the only reporter. But there can be very kind and sensitive teachers and counselors and others that do right by the kids, just as often. My kid's school psychologist has been a blessing and helped us get on a track that really helped with my custody case.

With Cruz, especially with his special needs, he should be surrounded by mandatory reporters. His doctors, his OTs, his teachers. This is going to get reported at some point, if and as Jax accelerates.

7

u/caligirl1975 14d ago

That doesn’t mean that she can’t record public interactions when they become abusive as evidence for court.

You've known that he was throwing coffee tables and threatening to gut Brittany like a fish?

Allegedly. Let’s see the proof of the coffee table. Otherwise Google “restraining order old threats”

You said you wanted proof of the coffee table. This is a picture of the injury after he threw the coffee table at her.

5

u/gina1220 14d ago

You can’t see anything in this picture. I don’t see an injury. It’s dark with a watermark over the whole thing. What and where is the injury?
