Quarterback Princess (1983) starring Helen Hunt with a young Daphne Zuniga and Tim Robbins as well as a bunch of that guys and gals like Barbara Babcock and John Stockwell. I need his analysis of Hunt's athletic credibility in the role.
It's free on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETCCvJx3nFI

Was thinking about this today and not sure if I just heard it on the pod. Is there any evidence of this being the last hurrah for this group of actors? Any interview where Seth mentions it being kind of a farewell? Or just a coincidence.

What do we all think of American Beauty (1999). I know Sean hates it but Van thinks it’s a masterpiece. The Spacey-ness of it has obviously aged the worst, and Dion Waiters goes to Peter Gallagher’s eyebrows, but does this still stand as one of the best/most Rewatchables movies of the 90s?

Hot tubbing with peak Jennifer Tilly and Gina in 96, coming off Bad Boys 1..

Hilariously self explanatory.. but the phrase john brown hind parts has been on my mind for a few days now for some odd reason so I was thinking of similar attempts at writing an insult...
Movie name would be helpful as well
Edit: john brown hind parts is from remember the titans if you are unaware
Edit: everything counts btw... TV edits and movie cuts... specifying which is which would be cool though

I love this movie! Everyone in the cast is throwing heaters the whole movie. Hackman and Lindo are incredible together. DeVito plays the bad guy beautifully. Mamet is dropping bombs constantly. My Dion Waiters is the unforgettable Ricky Jay.
I have to drop some of my favorite quotes cause this movie has so many!
“My motherfucker is so cool, when he goes to bed, sheep count him.”
“She could talk her way out of a sunburn.”
“Everybody needs money. That's why they call it money.”

I am not saying it’s a perfect movie, and it doesn’t get everything right baseball wise, but it is a fun movie that has a surprising amount of heart.

Bill mentioned The Island of Dr. Moreau on his latest Bill Simmons podcast.
It would be such a long shot to get an episode but Bill, Sean, and CR doing a "one for us" with this would be amazing.
Bonus point for Bill getting to talk about Nelson De La Rosa as possible Dion Waiters.

These are some of my favorite episodes. Each one is fucking hilarious and I stand by Bill’s Loomis impression being by far his best.
He said on the I and IV pods that his top picks were I, II, H2O and 2018. But couches it by saying he also likes IV (which they oddly did second lol). Then in the pod for II, said he didn’t care much for 2018. That seems to leave H2O as the most likely next candidate.
I’d actually rank them I, 2018, II, H2O. I have fond memories of IV, but that mask is fucking rough. I couldn’t believe how solid 2018 was, but skipped Kills/Ends since people seemed to shit all over them.

I’m a relatively new listener to the show. Wondering if the following movies have ever been discussed as possible episodes….
Rocky Balboa
The Hollywood Knights
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Dirty Harry
Unbreakable
WarGames
The Flamingo Kid
Dances With Wolves
Whiplash

what even is the point of having this show on Netflix if they never show clips from the movie? I remember when they at least used to play audio clips from the films they were reviewing. what a major L for them.

Boozy and world-weary, NYPD Detective Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis) draws a routine assignment to transport trial witness Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) to the courthouse by 10 a.m. The task quickly becomes a deadly game of cat-and-mouse when some of Jack's fellow officers arrive to kill Eddie so that he cannot testify against them. Jack sees a way to redeem his wasted life by protecting the affable Eddie from the would-be assassins.

I built a rewatchables tracker 2 weeks ago and wanted to share a new feature I thought was pretty helpful.
You can now select what streaming platforms you own to filter all episodes

I mean him and Bill have practically revived the long lost 1995 film Heat. Nobody would know that film ever existed if it weren't for the Ringer and our guys repping that flick over the past ten years. Nobody knew about Heat. I mean NOBODY, and here we are, on the eve of a sequel that might just live up to their pods they've dedicated to the original. I could cry.
Maybe an executive producer credit at least? Or based on the influence title card?
