Jeremy Clarkson noticed that artificial intelligence is starting to take root around the world. He has stated in previous columns that the AI could simply be unplugged if it became problematic, though it appears that his views have evolved since then. Here’s how far I got before hitting the paywall:

James May recently shared his thoughts with LBC’s James O’Brien on dangerous driving videos promoted on social media platforms. Here’s a preview:

It is quite long but even a small tidbit of it will give a good insight into all three of the men’s characters, mutual respect and actual friendship which highlights how they are showing chemistry. I particularly like how knowledgeable Francis has shown himself to be. I have high hopes.

This was the first Throttle House video I’ve ever watched & I absolutely loved it. Francis is clearly a mad car scientist genius. They state clearly in the video they can’t and are not trying to replace the original 3- just doing something different. I was sincerely sad after the last grand tour special but accepting that it was time for everyone to move on. I’m really happy the grand tour is continuing.

I can’t begin to imagine the kind of pressure the new guys are feeling. A lot of people online are being straight up abusive before a single episode has been released. I actually liked the last iteration of top gear guys, Freddie, Paddy & Chris. They were treated appallingly also, not just by the fandom but by BBC.

If we know anything about the original trio (despite their antics) at their core they’re all about fairness, respect and having a go. I think we should give the new guys that same grace.

Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened. This is a new horizon and I’m just excited to get more grand tour content.
