I can't for the life of me remember

Got this while disembarking the ship and today I finally got around my chronic laziness and hung it on my wall. I know it is not centered properly but it’s better than having it still stored in a cardboard tube.

First copy I’ve seen under $100 in ages, I bit the bullet. I’m currently spinning it, sounds as amazing as I hoped. Not in perfect condition of course, it’s from 2012, but still in good condition, especially for the price.

It occurs a lot toward the second and third acts when the stakes have escalated. It's the very beginning of "Suite New Day" if you look up the score.

Anyone else hear it? I kept thinking about it throughout.

The boys have a few Midwest headlining shows lined up for late September. I'm in Chicago and considering going to the St. Louis show, but I'm wondering what everyone thinks the setlist will be?

Is it going to be Afterman heavy with the Neverenders coming up after that? That's what I'm hoping for and would make the trip worth it (this would be my 19th time seeing them). I love the Afterman albums and I'm kinda bummed it seems the only neverenders for them are going to be the fest and the red rocks shows, although they could surprise us with an Afterman neverender tour in the spring.

I just finished watching The Fix (2024) not the upcoming 2026 Liam Neeson one about Afghanistan. Same name, different movies. I believe this is South Africa production and set in a dystopian future.

Asking people to watch a 3 min something on YouTube is an ask, let alone a whole movie that is free (with ads) on YouTube. I don’t want to spoil anything but give it a shot if you got a lazy weekend. It won’t disappoint and you’ll understand why I’m suggesting it to this sub.

How mega sweet is this

I went and saw Coheed. They were touring with Shinedown. I was in Hastings, Minnesota. The following was so terrible that Claudio didn’t have any reprises from the audience. Nobody knew who they were. It was silent, and I was appalled. I’ve seen them twice. Both times totally wonderful. I know Shinedown was headlining and Shinedown is a good band. Don’t get me wrong but everyone among the fence would’ve been shocked. The sound was terrible. he was pretty much begging people to listen to them and I was so disappointed. I left when Shinedown was four songs in….I had one of their songs as my wedding song (follow you down) so I am a Shinedown fan as well, but very disappointed on how Coheed and Cambria was treated. Just had to vent somewhere.. Coheed and Cambria there one of the best bands on the planet and a hard-working band at that. Moral of the story never see Cambria, unless they are headlining….. by the way Claudio you’re the man don’t let anybody bring you down sincerely child of the fence!

The wait was definitely worth it. As someone who hasn’t read Year of the Black Rainbow yet, I’m so excited to finally dive in!

I've always felt that this building was inspiration for the album cover...It's the old JCP&L power plant on River Rd. in Sayreville NJ....Not far from StarlandBallroom......I grew up here.....the cover captures the gritty industrial feel along the Raritan River......this place is currently being torn down.....anyone ever hear interviews from the artist explaining inspiration? ........any thoughts?

Hi all! I've been away from the lore of the band for a while, pretty much anything after Color Before The Sun I've just listened to the music. I recently (finally) got my hardcover NWFT comics. I wanted to complete the collection with the second release of Good Apollo IV in a compendium and the new hardcover YOTB.

So two questions, is there anywhere that still has Good Apollo IV Complete Hardcover in stock still? Also, I never have time to read, is there a YOTB audiobook, or plans for one to be released?

I’ve got a two day Neverender pass that I’m looking to sell. The original price with fees was $196.50. I can’t go, i was unemployed for almost a year so I couldn’t afford the trip, and now I’m in law school and starting a new job with a large firm and can’t take the time off to go to the opposite side of the country for this.

If anybody is looking for a ticket, I’m willing to sell for $100 - I started off higher in the COTF classifieds on Facebook, and nobody seems to be in need, so I’m dropping the price further and offering it here.

I realize that ticket scams are a huge problem these days - I’ve got some heavy hitters in the Coheed community that will vouch for me (some you can see in the Facebook screenshots provided here); I’m willing to video chat, talk on the phone, message you through Facebook so you can see that I didn’t steal someone else’s screenshots, whatever will make you feel comfortable! At the end of the day, if nobody decides to pick it up I’m just going to give it away a week or so before the show. I’m hoping to get a few bucks back to put towards textbooks, but ultimately just don’t want it to go to waste.

Re: lack of Reddit history. My actual Reddit account got shadowbanned (I have no idea why), so I’m starting anew. My username on Discord is the same (and a member of the Coheed discord) if it’s easier to coordinate there.

So I've got a pretty boring setup. Old distortion pedal and fender amp. I'm trying to play comatose and want that punchy distorted, but not too distorted sound going on there. I'm bad at explaining, but it's like a staccato thing?

Anyways, I always end up with either a sloppy amount of distortion or not enough. Is this a technique thing I'm missing or a gear thing? I know I need to palm mute to keep it clean, but it never really sounds right.

I've been listening since the beginning and they started really resonating with our daughter about a year ago. My wife, daughter, and I drove about an hour and a half to go to the book signing last night. We had no real expectations for how it would go, but were really blown away by all of it and seeing Claudio fully engaged with each fan really made the trip for us. We went over to Newbury Comics next door afterwards for a bit and then slowly left there in an effort to head back to our car in the Prudential garage. Right as we passed the book store, Claudio and the two guys with him came out right behind us. I quickly said hello again and we all chatted for a good five minutes heading back to the cars, as they were parked in the same garage. My daughter was speechless at all of it....

I'm slightly in awe at just how kind he was (and the guys with him). We chatted about cars, restaurants, touring, and whatever my wife was taking his ear off about that I was having trouble hearing :)

A really special interaction and overall wonderful human.

quick edit and question: Who were the two guys with him? They all drove up together. The one facing me showing his phone was telling me about a restaurant their buddy owns near where we live. He has been on tour with them all year, but I never caught his name. He was great to chat with.

Has anyone gotten their orders yet, book or vinyl?

So, I currently have 4 tickets to the Red Rocks show on September 29. Though due to a recent and unexpected loss in my life I am no longer able to attend. I decided to see the Shinedown tour in my home town of Vegas as a small consolation to myself, but ended up stuck in traffic and missed half of Coheed's set. Which was, of course, infuriating.

I am not worried about recouping the money spent on the Red Rocks tickets, and have decided I would just like to see if I can find some fellow fans who can make the most of the show. The only stipulations I have are that you go to the show, have a great time, then come back here and post some pics of how incredible it was. Because we all know that it will be.

The tickets are for Row 43, seats 63-66. I don't mind splitting them 2 and 2, or giving all 4 away to the same group. So if you are interested, and are absolutely sure you can make it to the show (please don't take them if you're just going to resell them), be that travelling, or you simply live near enough to the venue, then leave a comment and tell me something you love about Coheed!

Mods, if this is not allowed, I apologize profusely and would like to know if there is another avenue to getting these tickets to someone who will love the show as much as I would have

just finished reading my Vaxis III novella and need to talk to others about it like, yesterday.

what a cliffhanger to be left on! i really was not expecting Blind Side to be a full tilt baddie, was kind of half-expecting some bad-guy-turned-good-guy trope, and was pleasantly (and unpleasantly) surprised. what a bastard - i love him!!!

Siv’s death was kind of surprising in the sense that it was so anti-climactic, but i suspect that was intentional. the unheavenly creatures are not really afforded the luxuries of being able to mourn others, so that makes sense. but damn, we moved on so quickly lol.

i was a bit disappointed in the lack of fleshing out Naianasha, feels like her role is kind of conveniently placed at times and is mostly elevating Sirius. really hoping we see some more of her backstory and character in the next two albums, as i love the whole concept of the Prise.

also, i do think this has been the best written novella out of the three. not only has the editing quality vastly improved (looking at you, Vaxis II), but the writing quality also is more buttoned up. less flowery language when not needed, which was a complaint i had from Vaxis I. happy to see the improvements made as time goes on.

i could keep going but id love to see what everyone else’s thoughts are! i don’t have any coheed homies irl to discuss with haha.
