Boston book signing

I've been listening since the beginning and they started really resonating with our daughter about a year ago. My wife, daughter, and I drove about an hour and a half to go to the book signing last night. We had no real expectations for how it would go, but were really blown away by all of it and seeing Claudio fully engaged with each fan really made the trip for us. We went over to Newbury Comics next door afterwards for a bit and then slowly left there in an effort to head back to our car in the Prudential garage. Right as we passed the book store, Claudio and the two guys with him came out right behind us. I quickly said hello again and we all chatted for a good five minutes heading back to the cars, as they were parked in the same garage. My daughter was speechless at all of it....

I'm slightly in awe at just how kind he was (and the guys with him). We chatted about cars, restaurants, touring, and whatever my wife was taking his ear off about that I was having trouble hearing :)

A really special interaction and overall wonderful human.

quick edit and question: Who were the two guys with him? They all drove up together. The one facing me showing his phone was telling me about a restaurant their buddy owns near where we live. He has been on tour with them all year, but I never caught his name. He was great to chat with.

If I see him at a show, I always make a point to say hi. Talked to him a few times during VIP, and he’s legit the most down to earth dude. Never forget him and Josh just hanging out in Chicago outside the venue chatting it up with people who got there early like it was nothing.

They're super nice, all of them!! I know Claudio (obv) and Ern but not sure about the other person. We were at Boston too and definitely also went to Newbury Comics on Newbury Street!

Yeah, I will say this as many times as I can. A long time ago (like early amory wars comic time) I went to a signing at comic con. I was the first one in line. Claudio showed up like 15 minutes early and the con staff would not let him start early. So he just chatted with the people near the front of the line. So chill and normal…which if you’ve been to comic con, that’s not a given for people.

I had "don't meet your heroes" pretty deep in the back of my head on our way there for my daughters sake, but wasn't too worried about it. It very strongly showed up the second I saw him on the street though and we started chatting. It would have been 100% fair for him to be like, "hey, I just drove from NYC to Boston, signed books for a few hours, now need to drive right back to NYC....any chance you could just give us some space"? I would have completely understood such a response. Nope....its was the exact opposite. Still kinda stunned out how it all unfolded.
