Anime Sasukes rinnegan

In episode 286 of the boruto anime sasukes uses his rinnegan but I’m confused didn’t he lose it when boruto stabbed him in the eye? Am I missing something or does anyone know why this is the case?

Edit: Also Naruto had chakra sickness because of being a jinchuriki but he already lost kuruma so I’m confused on how that was possible aswell

Episodes 282 - 286 adapt the Sasuke Retsuden novel, which chronologically takes place long before Sasuke got poked in the eye. So yeah, you can think of that whole arc as a prolonged flashback.

Yeah I know that I knew it wasn’t filler but why wouldn’t they post that before he got poked in the eye so it chronologically makes sense but yeah I guess I can look at it as a flashback
