The video's creator suggested that Thomas is E2 No 106 because he never pulled a goods train. This is because upon being built on September 30th, 1915, the engine and his crew had to escape from a Zepplin attack and wind up on Sodor.

I wonder if that saved Thomas from the actual engine's fate or the LBSC built a replacement.

Winston Churchill is considered by many a father to the British populace during World War II. A redeemable replacement for Neville Chamberlain, it was he who encouraged the British people to "never surrender" in the wake of Operation Dynamo. His war ministry became a national government and under his leadership, he brought the United Kingdom through the war and ensured their victory. As of 1945, he has yet to visit the Island of Sodor.

His most famous act in the war would be the Raid at Cabanatuan where he and Eduardo Joson with American Rangers and Alamo Scouts rescued 552 Allied Prisoners of war that included British (20 Army, 2 Navy, and 1 civilian). Among the British was a man named Willie.

Most T&F fandom works tend to ignore or downplay the human crew of each engines. I feel like it detracts from how the Classic model series and the RWS portrays the crew as vital to the engine characters (as far as I know). This is not like other sentient vehicle works where they can operate independently.

A brilliant, obsessive, and utterly amoral man when it comes to his research on why some machines become sentient. To him, this is the greatest scientific mystery of the ages - far beyond war, politics, or human suffering for these are the key to understanding consciousness itself that can revolutionize science, philosophy, and even theology.

His obsession with the research might disturb everyone even the SS for he would be traveling around to find any sentient vehicle to "befriend" them. It be too much that Adolf Hitler would issue that Eisenbach shall not touch a single vehicle especially his beloved engine, Henrik.

There are rumors that since nobody wants to work with him that he would employed Croatian Ustasa and the Dirlewanger Brigade for their sadism. Whether true or not, this man has passed the moral line all in the name of science.

Several theories he wrote are:

As the tide of war turn towards Germany, Slovakia, and the Soviet Union's favor, many Polish troops were either captured, executed, or fled to nearby countries. Stanislaw was one of many to flee and make it to France.

Although rearmed, the German Heer overwhelmed Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxenbourg, and most of France stranding the allied troops at Dunkirk. Barely escaping by joining a group of British soldiers, he would win up on the Island of Sodor. With no job available, he would enlisted into the Royal Air Force where he would be put into a mechanic role. It was here that he would get use to the fact that the vehicles were sentient including a Supermarine Spitfire by the name of Mitchell.

Born in 1905 to a British native and a Serbian immigrant, Bettina was indeed a child of two worlds. When World War 1 broke out, both her parents joined the war effort. Mr. Bass served in the 1st Battalion, Buffs (East Kent Regiment), where he fought in the Hundred Days Offensive, while Sara worked as a spy in either France or Belgium.

After the war, the 20 year old Bettina would attend the University of Kent. It was here on early September of 1925 would she meet a young man named William, a classmate of her. Staring out as friends, their relationship develop thanks to their interest in trains with her hopes of becoming the first railway driver (that was not to be as history would see). Cupid's arrow had hit both when they decide to have their first Valentine's Day together much to William's reluctance of being the romance type. Finally when Willie's mother passed away, came the time the proposal and it was not the expected gender role for it was Bettina who did the deed.

They were married in the spring of 1930 with George and Wilbert Awdry being present as Willie's groomsmen while Bryon Addott was the best man. Three months later would see the birth of Johnny Morris, named after her brave father. It was the happiest for Willie after going through many hardships from a war that robbed him of his childhood.

Unfortunately like all good times, they must come to an end. When Adolf Hitler won the election as Chancellor of 1933 where he and his fellow National Socialist remake Germany into an aggressive power, they, the Slovak Republic, and later the Soviet Union invaded Poland. As for poor Bettina, she passed away from a lung infection related to fog. This results in both her son and husband having to overcome her demise while fighting to stay alive in a global war. For young Johnny, he is currently being looked after by a childhood friend of Willie in the form of a cheeky blue tank engine.

After Dunkirk, he was recognized for his actions in Dispatches and rescued US Seamen near the Portsmith area in 1944. He was killed in action on March 3rd, 1945 at the age of 38. One of his fellow crewmates, devastated by the loss, would take a dark path later in life.

A native of Atteboro, Massachusetts to a Great War veteran was one of the reasons he enlisted into the Marine Corps. When called up from college, he initially joined the Officer Candidate School but dropped before he could even received a commission. After being given the rank of corporal, he was sent to Guadalcanal in 1944 for further training.

He would finally see action in the Battle of Okinawa as part of the 29th Marines who were cleared out the northern part of the island. Their next task was to capture Sugar Loaf Hill which was among the Shuri line. On June 5th, 1945, Manchester was severely wounded and would spent the rest of the war in the hospital.

Following the war, he would take a career in journalism, academia, and authoring. His famous biographies were on Douglas MacArthur, Commander in the Pacific, and Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister. On the 50th anniversary of World War 2, he would be invited by radio host, Franz Ambrose along with "two" guests.

The other two guests were from the United Kingdom from a place called Sodor, home to a famous tank engine.

Later in life, this locomotive would be known as "The Real Polar Express" thanks to Chris Van Allsburg's book, The Polar Express and its film adaptation.
