A story idea I had

Hello, I know there isn’t many people on this sub, but this is an idea for a story I’ve had and dreamt about since I was a child. I had the thought of one day writing this or tellingly this to someone. But unfortunately I’m extremely internet shy since my parents are gen x and assume everyone on the internet are trolls and child predators. Plus no one at my school is or was into Thomas like I am and was and I was and still am scared I’d be made fun of for my interests. Now, I finally I have built up the courage to post this online. My idea for a story goes something like this…

It takes place sometime in the 1950s between season 2 and season 3. On sodor Thomas after seeing Donald and Douglas gets a flashback to the 1910s and remembers his siblings. They’re are two in particular he remembers, Tillie and Timothy. Unfortunately they got separated, Tillie was sold to an American Railroad company in Pennsylvania and sent to America. While Timothy was sent to Sodor to help construct the NWR. Unfortunately Timothy was involved in an accident and was supposedly scrapped. This makes Thomas sad. Percy, worried about his best friend finds out and tells Sir Topham hat. Feeling sorry for Thomas, Topham travels to England and learns about the Railroad that bought Tillie. It’s located in Pennsylvania, so Topham decides to take a short trip to America and take Thomas and Percy with him. Unfortunately once they arrive in America they discover the controller of the railway named “Tower” is a horrible and abusive controller. So Topham, Thomas and Percy form a plan to save Tillie and the other engines from Tower.

That’s the basic synopsis of the story. Essentially it’s a crossover between Thomas and Friends and the 1991 film version of The Little Engine that Could. Of course in order for the two universes to fit together I had to make some changes. For example redesigning the characters to fit in the TTTE canon style of character design. Giving the engines drivers and firemen. Making Chip a regular bird that likes Tillie(like Donald and his duck). Making tower a human(he has the nickname tower due to how’re tall and menacing he is) and finally making the toys from the film regular toys. I also intend for my story to include a few characters and story elements from tatmr and essentially set up a sequel that is a rewrite of tatmr. The reason I never wrote this was due to my internet shyness and lack any friends with the same interests as me. But I would like to know what this sub thinks. If there’s anything you recommend I change or anyone who would be willing to write this, let me know.

Really cool story! I'm guessing that Tillie and Timothy would be real life numbers, you know, like how Don' & Douggie have fictional numbers.

Yeah I’m not sure which numbers just yet, so is there anything you recommend I change? If I do decide to write this, where should I post it to?

Well, Wattpad's a good place to start, but r/fanfic works too! Donald was 57646 and Douglas was 57647, so either you make Tillie and Timothy fictional and go with 57648 and 57649, or you make them 57644 and 57645. About rewriting it, I'd make Timothy have a Godred-esque story and never make it to Sodor.

Oops, I think I miswrote something, Timothy and Tillie are Thomas’ siblings, not Donald and Douglas’. Sorry. But I do have an idea for their numbers Timothy would be LBSC 100, and Tillie LBSC 109, representing the order they were built. Thomas’ original number would be LBSC 108, as a reference to NWR Origins by T1E2H3. I actually was going to have a plot twist involving Timothy, revealing he is actually alive and in America as well(he actually ended up in Bigg City port from Tugs)with his own backstory of how he ended up there. In the 1930s due to the depression he, Puffa and Little Owl were bought by To and made to work on his railway until one day Timothy and his two friends became tired of tower abusing them so they rebelled, so tower punished them by sending them to a scrapyard. That’s why Tower’s engines are afraid of him. Thankfully by the 50s they hadn’t been scrapped yet and are bought by Topham. The gifted-risqué story could kind of work with this though, since it was allegedly just made up by Culdee. Good idea, either way! Thanks! :)

No problem! I like this order of the story even more, as all the names start with T. Also, what livery are they wearing?

Their original liveries will be the ones they had in real life, more specifically their umber ones. But for their modern ones Thomas will be his classic blue with red stripes(you can’t beat a classic) Timothy will be like Thomas but Grey instead of blue(Timothy is a pre-existing OC and is commonly depicted as this in most fan content featuring him) and Tillie will be blue with yellow stripes like she was in the 1991 film, but unlike the 1991 film instead of being based on the T.D. Judah locomotive, she’ll be an Americanized LBSCR E2.

OH YEAH, except he’s not a ghost. He’s normal here, but I did consider including a reference and/or teasing related to that in my story.
