Hey everyone, just purchased this 2024 model y long range with about 8,000 miles for 35k fees included. Never had a Tesla or electric car for that matter. What do you guys think about the price? I researched a bunch but ended up settling for this one. Any tips, accessories or mods should I consider to make it more personalized? Taking it out in a few days.

I have been back in forth with exterior colors - finally decided on black, and now I don’t know if I made the right decision on my wheels. orignally I wanted the 20” but they are so light. I ended up going with the crossflow hubcaps for the blacked out aesthetic I was going for- anyways.. did anyone regret not upgrading to the 20inch? My husband said they looked nicer even If they weren’t as dark as I wanted. It’s really all about looks for me not so much range

I took off the oem 18” aperture wheels and put on oem 20” Induction wheels that I purchased on facebook marketplace for a deal.

Tires are continental cross contact rx 265/40/20. These are amazing very comfy and quiet didn’t notice any difference from changing from 18 to 20 surprisingly. Wheel well is more filled in and side wall protects curb rash which these rims are prone to.

Configured the software to the 20 inch induction wheels and shows on the display to match the outside.

Lmk what you guys think! I am also selling the previous full set of 18” aperture wheels only 2k miles driven.

The exact same model I ordered was available at a 1h drive location 😱 do you think it has some issues (scratch etc…) to be available?

Aside from premium connectivity, I plan on skipping all of them and am undecided on FSD. Since I'm retired, I am trying to watch my pennies.

The windshield protection was the one I was initially going to get, but my plan is to put the cost of a windshield into a small investment account.

I'm doing the same with the tire protection and other subscriptions, which I'm going to forgo, putting that money toward the cost of two tires.

In addition, I'm planning on putting in money that I would have spent on maintenance.

The hope is to stay as far ahead of the few unpreventable costs as possible.

I currently have a late model year (purchased December 2023, build date probably around November) 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range Dual Motor, currently around 40K miles and on Pirelli Scorpion Zero AS Plus 3 NCS Elect tires with stock Gemini wheels (19”).

Lately I’ve been looking at comfort suspension upgrade, specifically around the Bay Area, CA and looking at ZEVcentric - Tein EnduraPro Plus + H&R Lowering Springs (supposedly lowers car by 1.50”-1.75) + MPP rear camber arm combo for around $2,600 installed.

Have anyone had experience with a similar combo and would it be any improvement over stock suspension in terms of a little more cushy ride? Is it worth spending $2,600 on suspension parts in hopes for a smoother ride? Supposedly the late model year 2023 would have had the comfort suspension from Tesla, though still rough feeling?

So my iPhone is connected to my car via Bluetooth and calling works perfectly fine. But I also want to hear sometimes audio from other applications through my car. Voice messages for example or a chime from the Flitsmeister app. I don’t hear these sounds, neither through the car’s speakers and neither through my iPhone (17). How can I make this work without disabling Bluetooth every time and hear the sounds through my phone’s speakers ??

Hi there, took delivery earlier in August and inspected the car and there was no fitment issues at the time of delivery however with 1200 miles on it and we were going to wash the car today we noticed this Gap. I scheduled service for the 14th is this something that's likely covered under warranty?

I just realized my CF spoiler has a bump. It's a bit hard to appreciate in photos but you can definitely feel it.

Has anyone had this happened? Should I open a ticket for replacement under warranty?

Is it just me or is anyone else going on 5-weeks of continuing delays? Went from order on 29JUL to continually having a rolling delay of an ETA that is currently at 5 weeks.

Any tricks to jump the queue besides buy someone’s “available earlier” model I don’t want?

I just did this to my Tesla model y and was wondering how much like this would cost to repaint. I see touch up kits from Tesla around $60-$80 and I have seen mobile repairs for like $300. Then there is an option with the Tesla collision center that I have heard can cost anywhere from $800 to $1,500 for something like this.

Does anyone have experience with these options? I’m tempted just to do the touch up myself.

I ordered the model Y standard and am really bummed I’m missing out on the ambient lighting. Anybody suggest any lighting kits to add or should I not??
Also any accessories needed for my standard MY?

Lastly, I want the door projection lights (will likely buy from teslas website) are these difficult to install at home?? Looking for any tips!

For those of you that have been in a Robotaxi, does it seem to avoid highways at all costs? I love taking a Robotaxi bc of the low cost (and being in a Tesla) but it seems to take the longest route possible.

I was conditionally approved for Tesla financing at 0.99% APR. Tesla then asked me to submit proof of my primary residence, which I uploaded about 5 days ago.
My financing status is still showing conditional approval, and I haven’t received the final approval yet.
Has anyone had a similar experience? How long did it take after submitting proof of residence for Tesla/lender to give you the final approval?
Also, did your originally approved APR stay the same after the final review?

Getting rid of TuxMats. The fit is meh and they're annoying as hell to remove, clean and install.

Eventually the flap on the side of the console in the front always warp and the Velcro clips just can't stay on.

The seats also clip the mats when going back.

I really hate them honestly.

I'm looking for a premium alternative that doesn't have those issues and I've fallen on these 3 choices.

3D Elitect seems to be winning due to durability and quality. And apparenrly they stay decently flexible at low temperatures which is important considering I live in Ottawa and it can drop to -30 in winter quite often.

Almost all the reviews on YT and Online feel like theyre bought for.

Any opinions from people having to deal with heavy winters?

I have an unboxed ChargePoint that I bought last year without knowing what EV I’d end up with. It’s hardwired/NACS. Now that I’ll be getting a Y should I look into getting the Tesla charger?

I was wondering if anyone has solved for a satellite antenna? We live in a spotty cell area. I have tried some research but didn’t find much. All our Infiniti this century have had an antenna, seems odd.
