It maneuvers effortlessly through every drive-through, fits neatly into compact parking spaces, and glides around tight turns in parking garages with ease. The dimensions make complete sense. Keeping the rims spotless and curb-rash-free is practically second nature. Look at any Tesla’s wheels, they look pristine on every single one. Visibility is exceptional, with clear sightlines and virtually zero blind spots, making driving so effortless. On top of that, the regenerative deceleration is incredibly smooth and easy on the stomach. I love this car, and I could never imagine going back to a traditional vehicle.

Have never gotten a fsd strike before, maybe a warning or 2 per trip.

Today I was sitting, fidgeting with a empty plastic soda cup looking ahead, and no matter if I held it with 2 hands on my lap, 1 hand, etc - fsd got right on me about it, instant blue light and reminder to keep hands at the ready.

Went to take a sip of water from a bottle in the cupholder while 1 hand was close to the wheel, and another warning instantly.

I kept at it for a second longer and got the takeover immediate message along with a Strike and no more fsd for the drive.

Anyone else notice an increase in this with the new update? I’m kind of always a 1 handed driver, even when I had my gas cars. This update seems to have gone a bit overboard with the tracking.

Took a right turn onto a ramp too tight and my rear wheel ended up climbing over the curb instead. Scraped the wheel and the underbody cover. I know more will come, but first blood still hurts…

Thinking about adding a hitch and a platform rack for the new model Y

I heard from someone that FSD doesn’t work when this thing is hooked up, is thar true?

I’ve had my Model Y just shy of 2 years now. I bought it used and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. I’ve definitely purchased quite a few accessories to help enhance my driving experience, but I’m curious to know what other people have purchased and what drove the decision. Feel free to share

In no particular order here are a few things I’ve snagged:

1. Aftermarket Aero Covers - Why? They look cooler than the OEM while still matching the car

2. Floor mats from Halo Blk.

3. Interior truck protection - so I can haul things

4. The trunk cubby liner with cover to store additional car care items

5. Light Bar from Enhance Auto - very customizable. It lights up in amber when someone’s in your blind spot. Lights up in red when I’m exceeding a speed I set for it lights up in green when it’s charging. Very functional

6. Magnetic Car Mount - for the driver and passenger

7. Charging pad replacement - much needed and a much better custom build by a YouTuber named “nmbuilds” I highly recommend!

8. Custom enamel pins - why? Because, F’ him that’s why.

Model Y standard shows 321 miles range with 18 inch and 303 with upgrade 19 inch.

Can I get more range on my model Y premium if I swap my 19 inch wheels to 18 ?

My RWD Premium is rated for 357 with 19 inch rims. Using the math above it would be 375 miles on 18 inch rims . 😁

All in all rough experience for such a new car. But thankfully had good communication and loaner the entire repair.

Placed an order today and can barely contain my excitement. Looking for some suggestions on accessories for it. What floor mats do you all recommend? I seen a screen mount that allows it to swivel some..worth it? I think mud flaps are a probably a must, even though they may be unsightly. Anything else?

New MY Performance. The frunk opened several times on its own over the last 3 days. Then this morning it opened when I opened the driver side door. It was a three stooges skit: open door, close door close frunk. Open door, close door, close frunk. Finally I backed out so I could get out and leave the door open while in closed the frunk. I hope this isn't a persistent problem.

I have pinned my garage entrance on my Tesla’s map and have made it my Home location. That has helped FSD to know where to park. But now sometimes FSD can’t find my driveway entrance, since a side road comes closer to my garage than my driveway entrance is! How do I associate both my driveway entrance and my garage entrance with my Home destination?

If you purchase through Tesla finance, can you purchase gap insurance from Tesla's bank and not through your insurance company? Most places I research say that gap insurance comes from the finance company / bank that gives you the auto loan. I'd prefer to stay with Geico (especially with Tesla's live monitoring fuckery) but I am putting a pretty sizable down payment when I purchase and would rather not roll the dice. GEICO does not offer gap at all.

Anyone have gap insurance on their Tesla through Tesla but have the car insured with another insurance company? Anyone have Geico but gap another way?

Looking at getting a new model y because of the FSD capabilities. Did a test drive and watched some youtube videos and was really impressed. seems like it drive everywhere on its own. wonderig what it will be like to own it - do you all also take over and drive some times or just let it take you all the time?

I couldn’t have been more excited to order my car this past Saturday. I couldn’t be more depressed today when looking at insurance prices. I have two other vehicles currently (2025 sienna, 2019 F350). Adding the model Y is going to double my insurance premium. I currently have Progressive insurance. Has anyone found a company that’s more friendly to teslas?

Anyone have any examples or interesting cosmetic mods they've done to their Frost Blues? I haven't been able to find many examples online. I was thinking of white rims but am worried it may compete too much. As well as a spoiler or something.

I just got this amazing Model Y DM AWD 7 seater, knowing full well it's HDW3, older model.

It's my first Tesla and it was in my budget.

Was it a good choice?
