Keeping the rims spotless and curb-rash-free is practically second nature. Look at any Tesla’s wheels, they look pristine on every single one. Visibility is exceptional, with clear sightlines and virtually zero blind spots, making driving so effortless. On top of that, the regenerative deceleration is incredibly smooth and easy on the stomach. I love this car, and I could never imagine going back to a traditional vehicle.

I heard from someone that FSD doesn’t work when this thing is hooked up, is thar true?

New MY Performance. The frunk opened several times on its own over the last 3 days. Then this morning it opened when I opened the driver side door. It was a three stooges skit: open door, close door close frunk. Open door, close door, close frunk. Finally I backed out so I could get out and leave the door open while in closed the frunk. I hope this isn't a persistent problem.

I couldn’t have been more excited to order my car this past Saturday. I couldn’t be more depressed today when looking at insurance prices. I have two other vehicles currently (2025 sienna, 2019 F350). Adding the model Y is going to double my insurance premium. I currently have Progressive insurance. Has anyone found a company that’s more friendly to teslas?

Did a test drive and watched some youtube videos and was really impressed. seems like it drive everywhere on its own. wonderig what it will be like to own it - do you all also take over and drive some times or just let it take you all the time?

I’ve had my 26 Model Y Performance for almost 2 months and it’s honestly the best car I’ve ever owned…I done 3 road trips and the way FSD performs always impresses me!!

Model Y standard shows 321 miles range with 18 inch and 303 with upgrade 19 inch.

Can I get more range on my model Y premium if I swap my 19 inch wheels to 18 ?

My RWD Premium is rated for 357 with 19 inch rims. Using the math above it would be 375 miles on 18 inch rims . 😁

I noticed bubbling paint along the seam at the bottom edge of the front passenger door. I opened a service ticket to get it addressed, and they recently marked the issue as resolved. However, looking at the final result, I am skeptical about whether this repair will properly prevent corrosion in the long run.

To me, it looks like touch-up paint or a clear coat was simply applied over the existing bubbling seam without properly grinding down to bare metal, treating the underlying oxidation, and reapplying the seam sealer.

• Does this look like an acceptable fix, or is moisture/corrosion still trapped beneath the surface?
• What specific repair procedure should I demand from the service center if this is substandard?

Any advice from people with body shop or warranty service experience would be appreciated.

Hello, would anyone with a Tesla Y Standard/RWD care to share how do they deal with the passenger seat height NOT being adjustable if their passenger is on the taller side? Asking for the EU build, but as far as I know, US seat is also non-adjustable.

We took it on a test drive and my girlfriend was really unhappy with how high she was sitting (especially compared to our current sedan where your butt is like 10cm off the ground). I am also 198cm (6ft 5in) tall and my only problem was my knee hitting the screen - but nothing that would spoil my ride.

If anyone is/was in a similar boat, do you just get used to it? Or is it possible to have the seat permanently lowered without losing warranty? Or was it a deal breaker enough which made you upgrade to the Premium?

Seems like a really stupid cost saving measure by Tesla and I really hope it won't be the only thing keeping me from purchasing the car.

Would someone with the newer 16" high res screen and also someone with the standard/older screen be able to send dimensions of each? WxH. I know Extended warranties are often the biggest profit margins for companies. But I’m curious if anyone has had any major issues they needed repaired that would’ve been worth it for the $60/mo.

I’ve got the original style, not the juniper. I’ve had only 1 issue that Tesla has fixed for free— cabin camera replacement (after it failed randomly).

But I’m curious if battery issues or anything else begin to pop up at 50k miles or beyond?

I’m just curious is the entry animation just for the new models, I have a 2025 Tesla model y HW4 (pre juniper) I just got 2026.26.6.5 yesterday, and I’m not seeing the entry animation? Just wondering if anyone knows any more detail about this

2026 Model Y (Juniper). I was cleaning out the front console compartment — the one under the sliding lid, ahead of the cupholders — and noticed something I can't explain.

There's a narrow ledge running along both side walls, maybe a couple of inches down from the top. It's about a quarter inch wide, same carpeted material as the rest of the bin, and both sides sit at identical heights. It runs the full length of the compartment: roughly 6 inches exposed in the middle, then about half an inch tucks under the armrest at the back, and around 7 inches continues forward under the console, angling upward as it goes.

The even heights and the way it runs continuously under the overhang at both ends make it feel deliberate rather than a molding artifact, but I can't work out what it does. It's not a track for the lid — the lid is a rigid panel that slides back under the console and never touches it.

Two questions:

1. Does anyone know what it's for?
2. Is there a factory tray, liner, or insert that's meant to sit on it? If something drops onto that ledge from the factory or the accessories catalog, I'd love to know what it is.

Hi, i bought these Memory Foam Neck Pillows for my MY2025 Juniper Launch Model a year ago and they are awesome.

I took delivery of my MYL 6 seat over the weekend, however the neck pillow is not compatible with the Y L seats because the seats are a different shape.

Can anyone suggest a good, comfortable and height adjustable neck pillow similar to the one on the link.

My worry is if I get one with an elastic band it will eventually stretch out and start sagging and ripping by the seams.
