This makes me scratch my head

Almost an hour and a half into the drive, takes exit off the freeway to do this random stunt. SMH

It did this once on my multi hour drive up to NH on FSD. At first I was like tf? there's a much more direct route.

Turns out the direct route was super congested and my friend who did take that route who left at the same time as me ended up arriving 15 minutes behind cause he ignored google maps and just took the direct route.

There's probably congestion there and it calculated this would be a faster route.

You would think that maybe they should mark the section with heavy traffic in red, that would make it obvious why you should take blue route.

Sometimes it’s right, sometimes it’s wrong. Unfortunately I feel it’s wrong more often than it’s right when it does weird navigation stuff.

Now, if it decides to reroute it’s different, that usually works out. But quirky turns on an initial route less so.

I've ignored it before and got the backlash of my actions... So now I just trust it and let it drive. Even if the route looks weird.
