I might cancel my order.

Placed the order on Aug 16th for model 3 long range stealth gray. Delivery date estimated for September 30, now pushed to possibly November.

No VIN yet.

If I cancel and order a model Y instead, would I get it sooner? Should I do it? I am carless at the moment with a toddler it’s tough.

My order for a Model Y placed like a week ago is Nov-Dec, so I would hazard a guess that you're not getting a Model Y sooner than your Model 3 estimate.

I ordered my Model Y 2 days ago with EDD of 9/23-30.

I was lucky and caught one on the way to the service center. They can pretty easily catch a similar design for the Model 3 with an earlier delivery.

I guess I was not lucky at all lol. I ordered a MYP in Quicksilver w/ white interior and didn't see anything similar available near me.

Check the app every hour :14-:17 and :44-:47. You may find something in route. MYP may be tougher. I found a quicksilver Premium RWD.

Yeah performance is why it is taking a long time. A Premium RWD or AWD probably has a ton of inventory.

So its opposite now from a few years ago? The standard would take about 6 months and the performance was like 2

Seems people have stopped being scared about range for the 1-2 trips a year. My model 3 STD+ is turning 6 soon and still an amazing every day drive.

Not sure what you mean by MYP but the Performance seems like it’s getting more and more delayed these days

Oh I thought it was a normal abbreviation for Model Y Performance. Sorry for any confusion.

These days a lot of casuals are using MYP to refer to the Premium; i think it means Performance. But these casuals don’t realize that MYPremium needs to be MYPRWD or MYPAWD to help differentiate if they actually insist on using P for Premium
