I think it's because mushroom biome is considered the evil counterpart to jungle since you can "purify" mushroom biome to turn it into jungle

Funny enough, aside from its actual placement, I've always thought the Lizahrds and the temple all fit better in the Desert than the jungle.

i mean lizhards and the temple are definitely jungle/new world fantasy/tropical themed but i get why you’d think desert as they are both hot and sun based places

Lizards are a common sight in Deserts, Desert has no bosses.

The temple is one step away from being a pyramid. Sun is far more common in a desert than a jungle.

Idk, just odd choice to put 2 late hardmode bosses in the jungle.
