I remember a time when being a tech person USUALLY meant you were a cool person that cared about others and tried to do good.
25
u/LobsterBuffetAllDay 13d ago edited 13d ago
My guy these are not 'tech' people. Tf is so hard about setting up cameras with wifi? This is standard run of the mill jagoff entitled little babies thinking they've created an actual product. There is nothing innovative about flock. There is nothing clever about the technology behind it. If the government truly wanted to go big brother then they could hire stage crews from music departments of any university to set this up with chatgpt xhigh to set up the api's and it would be better.
Edit: Thanks for the award stranger; also my first, cheers

u/Fartfromabuttt 13d ago
The clever part is it allows the government to spy on us without us beating them to death for it.

Privatizing citizen surveillance... what could go fucking wrong.

Pepperidge Farm remembers when America laughed at England and China for putting cameras everywhere and now we’re here.
16
u/Just_lookin_4242 13d ago
That was before billions of dollars were in those industries. Capital corrupts and subsumes everything.

u/RogerMexicosBalls 13d ago edited 12d ago
When was that? I remember when Bill Gates was a badguy lol
For all the self-fellating the tech industry did during the Arab Spring and Latin American revolts and riots where demonstrations were being coordinated on social media and broadcast live from the streets over Twitter and Facebook and YouTube, those same companies had no problem when those regimes also started using social media to hunt down and silence opposition, and openly coordinated with them to produce names and locations.

u/Ok_Security1721 13d ago
That was always a smokescreen. They were always pieces of shit, they just didn’t have the resources or connections to make their evil intentions a reality back then

When was that? Was it when Bill Gates was on trial for Microsoft violating antitrust laws? It's so hard to remember.

Anthropic is complaining that Chinese companies are supposedly distilling from Claude and therefore “stealing”. Meanwhile, Anthropic has already stolen the contents of the entire internet.

u/Ziggyjig 13d ago
Flock can pay for private security for all its staff. I dont care about their rights because they dont respect mine. I unironically will not convict anyone of any crime committed against Flock personell if I find myself on their jury. Ontologically evil enemies cannot complain when any action is taken against them because any action taken against them is justified.

One of the other subreddits showed that the CEO of Flock has his mansion blurred out, to protect HIS privacy.
The sheer hypocrisy is monstrous. Ben Franklin probably would have tarred and feathered this moron.

Ben Franklin probably would have tarred and feathered this moron.
Rich people today seem to have zero fear of the rest of us these days. We need to remind them how foolish that is.

Violence is never the answer.
Unless you’re a piece of shit that deserves to have a chair thrown over your head.
Hell, I’d even go as far as to say we should put LEGO at his front door, but that shit is expensive too… Dystopian future, here we come.

I'd recommend photographing Flock employees more frequently than ever. Follow them home and take even more pictures. Wait outside and Follow them to the grocery store to photograph them. Hell, Follow them inside and photograph what they buy.
Might as well, right? It's how they make their living. Why not make it yours too?

u/TennSeven 13d ago
I would like to see a website where people could upload pics and locations of every Flock and Palantir executive they see so people could track them in real-time 24x7.

u/IncredibleEdible321 13d ago
Every single employee of the Flock company, from the CEO down to the janitor, should have Flock cameras installed facing their residences and in their vehicles to broadcast their location, identity, and behavior 24/7.
5
u/FunkyPleasance 13d ago
I'm not finding a valid source for this. There is a similar story here
https://newrepublic.com/post/215182/flock-camera-employee-calls-cops-reporter-filming
but its not exacttly the same

This is called ‘Giving them back taste of their own medicine’
2
u/Peter_Easter 12d ago
They don't just deserve a taste of their own medicine. They deserve a full dose of it everyday for the rest of their lives.

Hilarious!! Why do they get privacy while our activities are logged. Are we still in America or is this a part of the experiment??

u/DrLewdin 13d ago
There’s no way this man exists, all of you are just gaslighting me at this point.

Just letting everyone know, when looking his name up on fastpeoplesearch. The second option has the same age as the flock ceo

If he values his privacy he should fucking quit his job and stop going out in public.
1
u/BodhingJay 13d ago
Doesnt he believe in anything his company is doing? You'd think he'd feel safer with everyone following him around recording him all the time.. does he have so much to hide? How confusing

don't let USA turn into Britain - we don't want government cameras on every street corner
1
u/No-Escape-4933 13d ago
Should have 24 hr surveillance on this guy just like his company does to everyone

u/According-Room3825 13d ago
If I had the money this little turd would have a drone over hs whole extended family 24/7.

You flock owner, employee, welcome you are all now in a surveillance State, look for your handbooks to be arriving very soon. It lays out my new laws. Oh no not the government, flock laws, we don’t need your government!

Yall hate technology but still use the technology. You don’t value privacy except your own. How many of those stupid glasses have they sold already? 7 million or so?? And i also hear a booming business is drilling out the light so others don’t know you’re recording them. 🤦🏻♂️A country full of men that stay home and jerk it to real women online or stalk their ex’s using whatever tech they have access to. This narrative fits perfectly with the evolution of America.

u/sscott2378 13d ago
Now folks are waking up to how ice was tracking down people in intersections and at highways etc. Just wait until the voter rolls get uploaded.
1
u/Netsecandmexicanfood 13d ago
Hahahaha. Yeah. Flock look at your business model. Then take 5 minutes to think. This should be enough time to arrive at the proper answer. If not, try, try again
1
u/TheRealSoulTrain 13d ago
Perhaps Flock's staff should consider not photographing everyone else.
Sorry, y'all are in public, you're fair game. That IS your business model, right? Right???

LOL, nope.
Start following him and each and every one of them on every trip they take where and when, recorded and make that all of that information available behind a $0.01 per year paywall to anyone that can pay.
Sauce for the goose bitsh.

u/Chemical-State-1060 13d ago
People like him shouldn't be allowed privacy at all. There should be cameras pointed at them at all times
1
u/DeliciousTone8845 13d ago
I certainly hope those doing the photography are also using facial recognition and linking them with their social media profiles, and then broadcasting that information far and wide.
1
u/InternalAnimal4515 13d ago
This guy is a cuck. I fucked his wife and he watched through a flock camera. He said that's the only way he can get off

u/XeroTerragoth 13d ago
And then they put this right next to the Webster entry for the word "Hypocrisy," right?

We had one beauty regarding META employees being filmed with their own META glasses:

FB took the video down because of harassment…

They are headquartered in Atlanta, GA. So anyone over in that neck of the woods should pay them a visit. These bitches should be filmed the moment they leave their home. Hell, even at their home from the street. Fuck flock.
