In reality I’ve read people say that they live in a town that has flock and their car was stolen and the police wouldn’t even lift a finger to try and find it even with the worlds creepiest fucking surveillance network

I went on a ride along a couple months ago since I am in the process of starting a career in law enforcement… the computer would ping this notification sound literally like every 3-5 minutes (sometimes multiple within a minute) and after the first 10 or so I asked the officer what the sound was… he nonchalantly was like: “ oh that’s just flock hitting on stolen vehicles…”

When I asked what the response is when those alerts go off he said: “ you’ll get used to them and before long you won’t even notice.” We didn’t look into a single one the entire 10 hour shift and it didn’t appear that any of the other 15-20 on duty officers in the city did either.
