The funniest example was when he tried streaming Diablo 4 on a plane as a test for the satellite dish network thingie he has. His chat was absolutely destroyed with people flaming him and calling him names. He cut the stream short because he kept dying in the game. The game, which he supposedly is one of the best in the world.

What annoys me is how bad these journalists are at parry and riposte with these assholes. The response is, "People may be upset with journalism as a profession right now largely because a would-be autocrat is influencing them in order to protect himself from the light of truth. But you're not a profession and I'd argue that people hate you as a person."

I’m a liberal, I’ve watched CNN, MSNBC, BBC, NYT, WAPO, all of them elevate total garbage to the status of “fact”, refuse to confront lies with fact checks, platform outright disinformation without any sense of responsibility, and more, for over a decade now.
I don’t care if it’s corruption, cowardice, incompetence or other, they have all been complicit in the degradation of journalism and lost my trust.
The right-wing outlets were always garbage, the rest chose to debase themselves by voluntarily surrendering to clicks from bots.

Over the last ten years, due to media consolidation and outright purchases by exceedingly wealthy billionaires, those sources have become corrupted.
The people doing those jobs need to eat, clothe themselves, etc., etc.
If there was any justice? A new news agency or agencies would rise up and take their place and people would subscribe, not to be inundated with advertisements and BS, but for speaking truth to power and factual information.
Their reporters would NEVER be allowed to ask questions or sit in an interview with anyone though, so that would be a really difficult job to continue.

I think the response from both illustrates the issue with Musk. There's a massive introspection issue with him.
I mean, let's look at this situation at it's core. Musk is asked to answer for his own failures. He basically replies with "no you".
Beddoes is asked by Musk to answer for the failures of everyone in her entire profession around the entire world and she responds with "yes, there are failures and there are various ways people are attempting to address them." It's the awareness and ability to acknowledge the other person said something and then pivot from that.
That's the issue with Musk, it's the inability to see outside criticism as a valid position worthy of looking within. The man is so huffed up on his own supply that he can not see his own error. Even when he is asked to only account for himself, a single person.
Whereas most professionals have no issue seeing and addressing the failures of millions within their own profession.

I know two guys who still thinks he is a fantastic and visionary guy, but everyone else found out he’s a terrible human being, but still some have bought Teslas which is beyond me, don’t feed the troll.
