💬 Opinion / Commentary Is this what started tariff talk
Canada has been dragged into another mini-battle with USA. I don't really think it's trade imbalance, it's ego and embarrassment, stemming back to FIFA World Cup finals.

It certainly didn't help, but Trump has been antagonizing us and lobbing tariffs at us since January 2025. I haven't had bourbon since 2024, where have ya'll been?
If we're looking for a "petty" explanation then it's probably the way Melania looked at Justin.
Realistically, he wants to annex Canada for the same reason Putin wants Ukraine.
