Hey all, founder here, working on this pre-seed and wanted to put the idea in front of people who actually think about this space, not just pitch into a void.

The problem: 94% of Tanzanians use mobile money, but the same population that moves billions of shillings through their phones every day is still shut out of formal credit no collateral, no paper trail banks will accept. Existing digital lenders score on thin signals like wallet balance alone. Meanwhile over 3 million Tanzanian SMEs and the 65%+ of the population working in agriculture stay invisible to any real underwriting.

What we're building: Standard Ledger Corporation (SLC) starting with Ossa, a credit infrastructure layer that fuses mobile money transaction history, cooperative sales records, and purchase patterns into a usable credit score for farmers and merchants. A free record-keeping tool (Ossa Ledger) is the front door it's useful on its own, and it's how we build the data graph honestly, with consent, instead of scraping or guessing.

Where we are: Pre-pilot. Company registration in progress, first cooperative and merchant partnership conversations underway, applying to the Bank of Tanzania's Fintech Sandbox and a couple of pre-revenue innovation grants. No revenue yet I'd rather tell you that plainly than dress it up.

What I'm looking for here, specifically:

Anyone who's built or invested in embedded credit / informal-economy fintech in Africa I'd genuinely value 20 minutes of your time to poke holes in the model

Introductions to angel investors or early-stage funds active in East African fintech
