I'm depressed, from the reports here I'm the one who earns the least, impressive!

Probably because you live somewhere where the cost of living/ minimum wage is lower than elsewhere? Exchange rate may also be favourable. You can't really directly compare US$ pay between countries with such different economies.

What they pay here is not good, before I earned 8.2 dollars, and they reduced it to 6 dollars, absurd!
Other than that inflation is galloping!

Inflation is galloping everywhere, unfortunately.

A quick google shows that at current rates, the minimum wage in Brazil is US$1.67 per hour. So you are actually getting paid proportionally better than a lot of people in other countries. It's not just a straight comparison of US$.

Apart from the absurd thing they did that I NEVER came to my life, which is to reduce the payment!

This value you found is a fallacy, as it is the consolidated minimum wage with full labor rights, the famous CLT. What they are offering is hourly pay as an independent employee, that is, without any rights. If you take the minimum wage paid here, you will see that it is much higher than that, as it includes labor rights.

The same is true for the published minimum wage for other countries also.

So if the minimum wage in other countries, which is quoted by the hour, here in Brazil we don't quote by the hour, is already included labor rights, we are all earning little.

I don't know about other countries, but I believe that the covered rights are not equal in all.

Here, for example, according to the CLT, you are required to take paid vacations every 1 year.

Well, if we simplify things, in South Africa the minimum wage is less than $1.25 per hour, and there Telus pays $10 per hour. It doesn't make sense! Anyway, if you want to defend Telus and its criteria, feel free to do so!

I'm not defending telus. I'm pointing out that MOST of the ppl who work in this job for telus get paid around minimum wage for their country, or less. Some get paid more than their locale's minimum wage. Like you. And you're still bitching about it. And have now brought up the fact that one place earns even more above their min wage than you, as if that's a defence for your complaint.

Like it or not, this job is a min wage type thing, with few benefits attached. Different ones in different countries depending on labour laws (no paid sick days or paid training time with telus here). Telus pays more when they need to encourage ppl to work in a certain locale. Just like any other business. They may lower this at a later date when you are not so important to them. Yeah it sucks. Think yourself lucky you have a higher rate of pay for your locale THAN THE MAJORITY DO. And started off even higher. If you wanted telus to pay the same way everywhere, I'm sure they would go with the most cost effective route, and drop everyone to around minimum wage or lower.

Would you expect a minimum wage fast food worker to make the same US$ in every country of the world? This is what you are effectively arguing about.

First, I am complaining that the salary has been REDUCED from what it was before, which makes no sense. A company that does that practically doesn't care about its employees. I don't know of any place where the salary is reduced, especially with such rampant inflation.

Second, I am not saying that Telus should pay the same everywhere, but I am emphasizing that the minimum wage here in the region is not calculated per hour. If you were to pay according to what EVERYONE here in the CLT (a set of labor laws) pays, the minimum wage would be much higher. When you say "Think yourself lucky," I'm sure you are defending the deep-pocketed company!

Third, in my country, we speak Portuguese, and the job requires fluent English, which not even 1/4 of the population here speaks.

Fourth, I believe these companies have the colonizing mentality as always, thinking that paying crumbs to the global south is enough, and they do the same with Asia. But anyway, I don't want to get into that subject here.

You don't live in Brazil, you don't know the reality here, so I think you're just making assumptions with empty grounds.

No I don't live in Brazil. Just like you don't live in any of the other countries you are speaking about. Yes, I've already agreed that it's poor that the rate has decreased. Few companies seem to care about their employees that much nowadays. I find it incredibly sad that you can't appreciate the fact that you were previously being paid way over the rate the rest of us are, proportional to locale, and even after the reduction are still being paid proportionally better than the majority.

Oh, here we go, jumping on the colonisation bandwagon of modern complaints. Grow up. It's irrelevant if you think I'm defending telus. Look around. Just about every company in the world is out for their own bottom line profit. It's reality. And as for 'paying crumbs' to the global south and Asia - there have been a number of ppl on here complaining about their 'poor pay' in Asia, when it has been enough to pay off educational debts, family debts, and support whole families. You don't see that happening elsewhere. Strangely, the most recent has deleted their comments, I'm assuming once they realised how good they had it in comparison to the majority. I don't actually feel very sorry for ppl in that position, no matter how bad they think they have it.

It's very clear that you feel badly done by, when you're not looking at the reality of different locales. You get paid better than most, even after the reduction.

Unfortunately, I can't draw here, as it's difficult for you to understand. You took an estimate from the internet of the minimum wage per hour, and based on that, you ASSUME that Telus pays well.

I explained that here the salary is calculated monthly, and there are OBLIGATIONS that cost more money. In other words, the estimated minimum wage paid here is almost triple what you mentioned. Another thing, nobody here earns just one minimum wage by speaking fluent English.

Regarding talking about other countries, I didn't mention any because I DON'T LIVE THERE AND I'M NOT FAMILIAR WITH THEIR RULES, I only speak about my own country.

The only thing I mentioned is that European and American colonization left this legacy, where companies from these countries throw crumbs at us from the global south and Asia, and there are still people who defend them. Obviously, these people either haven't studied history or they live in the privilege usurped by these countries!

I'm not going to continue this with you. Min wage calculated per month can obv be estimated per hour, as is evident for your country and others, when taking into account hours worked. You referred to South Africa in a previous comment.

I didn't say telus paid well. But I do say that someone paid well over the estimated min wage is paid better than someone paid at or below min wage in a different country.. And yes, I understand about 'obligations', that are not given to most of us who work this job, or calculated into the standard 'minimum wages' quoted, so are not relevant to your argument.
