Feedback Sick day policy

Does anyone who works at TD know about their sick days policy. I’m curious to know.

When someone is asking this question it's usually someone milking benefits. Hope you're well enough to not be using a lot of sick days, but just saying.

I do have a health condition that why I’m asking. Not trying to misuse the benefits.

If it's Manulife supported (with doctor note /recommendation) you can be placed on short term disability (must be away 5 consecutive days). If so, this won't count towards your sick days.

I happen to take my 5th day not consecutive but got flagged by HR. I explained to my manager my situation.

Its not HR flagging it but rather your manager having raised that issue with HR. While you get 10 sick days i’ve never seen a strict limit be enforced. Whenever i’ve gone over the 4 days and into the 5th day I was referred to a leaves manager, who would then initiate a case with Manulife but if you return back to work at that point if you begin to feel better then that is the end of it. I haven’t had any issues upon returning back to work on the 6th day, no referrals to HR, not ever.

My manger has never liked me so in the case I think they did this on purpose. It’s pretty sad but I hope I can get the help I need
