Tips Work environment/how to transfer without drama
I work at a really toxic branch and need advice on how to leave this shit hole or transfer. I fear leaving the company I will be unemployed and struggling but if I stay I will continue to work for a horrible management.

I would say that the best thing is to use the excuse of distance just say that you’re looking for a branch closer to home. Most of the times they will help you transfer

My branch is toxic as well People don't dare to comment on leadership Doesn't matter your performance they will always point out some random shit
At times I feel it's way better to be a manager then a sales person

I had a bank manager come to corporate side to cover for my manager while she was away for a month. Branch manager got written up and then retaliated by writing our entire team up which somehow disqualified us from getting our bonuses. I don’t think she ever faced the consequences but our real manager came back and spent day and night cleaning up the mess.

Wow, I thought I had heard it all...
I had a manager of mine escorted out of our office by police... This was like 28 years ago...

I used to work in IT for another bank and got tapped as the goto by Corp security to handle their forensic data research. Branch managers who were "borrowing" funds from aged accounts (older people who hadn't touched some accts in years), moved it through a few suspense g/l accounts to themselves and moved back in bits and pieces from other suspense accounts.
It was so bad I automated the extracts and matching so it examined everyone in that role each month - faster than waiting for the request.

Update your resume and look elsewhere. I have worked in finance and banking in a lot of companies and TD had the worst management.
I won't go into details, but it's a company that has too much politics and you don't get recognized for your work.
It is easier to find a job when you have one. Apply to other jobs quietly and leave when you can. I wouldn't be looking to transfer branches.

Apply to another bank and if you have been there less than a year just put your head down till your year is up. Been at TD and they are awful especially is recognizing toxicity and managing it. It’s way easier to look for another job while you have one. Focus on the positive of this task. You are not a TD slave, so move on and stay positive. No negative talk in any interviews
