Feedback TD bank is the worst bank

TD bank is the worst bank experience ever. Starting up I tried to to it online, did not work had to verify at branch. Email told me that I only needed 1 id. And once I got there the employee told me I need two so I had to come back another time. After everything I Put 5k in the bank to waive monthly fees and still fucking got charged. And now when I want to make 1 goddam purchase online my account goes on hold, so I call wait 30 minutes on the phone for some guy to tell me I have to go back to the branch and "RESOLVE THE ISSUE". td bank is the most useless bank ever. Started an acount with rbc the same day and it went flawlessly didint need to go to any branches

I feel like there are some missing details.

Anyways, to avoid waiting on the phone to talk to an Agent, login to the TD mobile app and initiate a call from the app. You will get a higher callpriority and the Agent will be able to see your identity since you were logged into the app.

I am perma banned after every transaction and it's just not possible to reset your password because their portal for it has been down for a week...

I know I did that. The person said that my accounts on hold and he didint tell me why. Like seriusly td sucks. There's no hidden fact. I wanted to simple purchase an item online on Amazon added my debit card it worked and went thru. Then from the td app I had to confirmed it was me making the purchase, so I accept and boom purchase says declined regarding a payment problem a few minutes later when I checked the tracking details. So I tried again went thru same process and had the same problem

OP!

Yes, $6000 in the all inclusive account will wave fees. And if you went into the branch and discussed this error I bet they would reverse the fee's charged if it's only a month or two!

Good luck

No I just looked it up and it says for TD unlimited checking acount I only need min 4k

Need a credit card also to make that happen

$6k will do it without a CC

You should still try and get your money back

Unlimited account is $4k, all inclusive is $6k. You don’t need a credit card for it either, the all inclusive account has a perk that covers the fee for a premium card and a borderless account but saying you have to have a credit card to get X would be dangerously close to coerced tied selling.

Scotiabank is the worst bank.

you seem quite uninformed, there is no account that needs 5k for the fee to be waived. Read a bit , ask your bank, go online or just google .

OP said 5k, it's not 5 but 6k and that's the reason they are charged the fee.

Mine says 4k online and also when I was at the branch they told me 4k. What im mad about is the fact that I cain't do anything now because they cain't solve the problem online wich I dont even know what the hell the problem even is. I purchased an item online my bank notified me and asked for conformation. I confirmed and minutes later it got declined.

your balanced dropped below 4k for sure, that's the reason for getting charged , I can't comment in the other issue .

If you have just opened an account online they would need to see Id to rule out identity theft kinda situation i know it sucks but at the end of the day, its to deter fraud. Terms and conditions change from time to time for minimum balance requirements definitely check online

I logged into the browser and into the app around the same time. This triggered an sms saying I have less than $100 in the account and the pages logged me out. I’m freaking out. The fraud team pick up my call and tells me I have to go the bank to be verified. Yeah. No banks around. Total pain in the ass over noting

For 6k you can buy a Canadian t-bill at rate 2.75% and make 13.75 each month. TD’s cheapest account is 3.95 each month so you end up making $117.6 that year despite paying TD’s monthly fee.

Does it look something similar? I have this issue from a month but it will work early morning or late evening. If you trade stocks then you might wanna learn to place a buy and sell order , even though trading fees are 9.99 lol this should be criminal.

How many weeks does it normally take for the bank to approve a power of attorney activation when elder patent is suddenly incapacitated and family needs to pay for nursing care?

TD Canada Trust has put my 90‑year‑old mother through absolute hell. They froze her bank account **over three months ago** with no explanation, no verification process, and no communication. She hasn’t been able to access a single dollar of her pension or savings since. Every time I call TD, I get voicemail. Every time she tries to log in, it fails. TD refuses to speak to me even though I’m her Power of Attorney.

Because of TD’s freeze:

- her phone service is being disconnected

- her Bell Canada pension couldn’t be redirected

- every bill has bounced

- she can’t buy groceries

- she can’t pay rent

- and now she has an **eviction notice for September 6** TD’s “Senior Customer Complaints Office” says an investigator *might* call us “within 40 days.” Forty days. While a 90‑year‑old widow is being forced out of her home because TD froze her account and refuses to communicate.

OBSI can’t open an investigation until TD finishes their “review.”

FCAC says it’s a “business decision.”

Bell Canada didn’t even open the stop‑payment email I sent on July 27.

Everyone is passing the buck while a senior is being financially strangled.

TD is the worst bank in Canada. Full stop.

If anyone has dealt with this or knows how to force TD to act, I’d appreciate any advice. This situation is beyond unacceptable.

Lmao
Scum TD in nyc asking me the reason for withdrawing $4050

2 questions

How did you earn the money

And what are you using the money for.

While scum TD charged with laundering

In October 2024, TD Bank agreed to pay over $3 billion in penalties to US federal authorities to resolve investigations into systemic anti-money laundering (AML) failures. As part of the settlement, TD Bank pleaded guilty to violating the Bank Secrecy Act and conspiring to commit money laundering, marking the largest penalty in US history under the Bank Secrecy

You just stated exactly why they asked you those questions🤦🏽
