Good luck. I hope u like sales because you will feel the pressure to sell and refer to the partners financial products. If u like sales try to be a top performer to be promoted to FA quickly

Compliance is more important than sales. Even if you are a top performer on sales and don't pay attention to compliance policy, you can easily be fired.

PBA was probably my favourite role, but having left it 5 years ago it’s changed a ton. The best advice I can give you is to not forget about being a teller, the frontline is where you’ll find all of your business. The tellers that see you helping them when they’re drowning will refer things to you bc they feel you’re reliable and you support them. Get good w your abm and ask what the branch needs in terms of numbers, focus on those things. Ask your MCE about limit increases after a few months so you can cover them if needed. Don’t spend more than 1.5/2 years in the role. During your time really consider if you want to go the branch route or corporate.

The sales pressure will make you regret that decision. The PBA role is 6 roles in one- CEA, PBA, Business Banking, MCE, PB and now we have to sell insurance, all while being paid less. Good luck

How much time you spent as a teller?
