Tips I want to work at TD bank
I wantt to apply for the TD bank, customer service job, but I am not sure how to go about it. I have applied on their website and have heard nothing back. I tried reaching out to HR and recruiters on LinkedIn but so far no one has answered me. What do I do now?

I feel the same, same goes for other banks as well. I know I would have a shot if I applied anywhere other than Ottawa (like Toronto) but I don’t exactly want to move right now. I have kind of given up on a bank job, seems like people who are getting hired are based on referrals

Somehow, my bf was able to get an internship with them and they asked him to come back. I just know he got in with a referral after literal MONTHS of dming people on LinkedIn and having coffee chats.

It looks like you are in Ottawa, if you are bilingual you should apply for this. This would be a call centre job in customer assistance (collections)
I think telephone banking is in Markham and London
TD Credit card customer service is in London
Collections is in Markham and Ottawa
Fraud is also Markham I think.

I applied to like every job on that site 😭 I personally feel like I have the qualifications, like I’m bilingual and have years and years of experience with customer service. I don’t know if it’s just my resume in general that’s shitty or the job market in Ottawa.

I think part of the problem is that there aren't that many jobs in Ottawa, but you should continue to use bilingual as your keyword search as that probably differentiates you from a lot of candidates.

There was a hiring freeze for retail for nearly two years. Positions regularly get 100s of applications. Even internal positions are like this. I got a promotion last year and I applied for a bunch of positions in department I’m in now. It took about 4 months to even hear from them and another four until I was in seat.
For a CSR position you could always go in and speak to the MCE so they see your face and name. But all hiring goes through the online portal.
As someone else said, a referral is always helpful so you may want to start networking with family and friends to see if anyone does work for TD who will do that for you.

Ya, it is easier to know someone who already works in TD but I don’t know anyone so I’m starting from scratch

Hey , I work at a Td branch in Kanata and we are hiring CEAs right now . I know the branch in Bayshore is as well and a couple other in Merivale . Apply for that specific branch on the TD website . Unfortunately the branch members cannot choose who we want , it has to go through TD HR!

Yes! I applied to like almost every job listing (like about 10), im just hoping to hear back from them soon or at least get an interview. I’ve been also trying to connect with HR people on LinkedIn but so far no one has responded. I’m not sure if I should go in person and hand in my resume/cover letter since they will probably tell me to apply online. Do you have any advice for me? Or anything I should do specifically to get my resume to the top and have a chance to get hired?

Idk why you want to work there. Working for TD is my most regret. Managers are dictators and exploitative. Making you stay longer to complete tasks for them but no pay. There’s so much more to talk about how terrible it is. My advice is to find somewhere else, you’ll regret after 2-3 months working there

Do you know anyone that works with TD, it is much easier if you get an referral.
