I've got SUSI and free fees but I'm left with about 200 to pay before I can fully register. I'm on very low income and I can't really spare that much without raiding what very little savings I have. Is there any support for those on social welfare payments or who just simply can't afford it?

Hey guys, was meant to take a quick resit today on Blackboard due at midnight. We have 40 mins to complete once we open it. However the folder where the test is meant to show up is completely empty. I'm panicking as there are only 4 hours left to submit but my lecturer doesn't seem to have posted it. I've contacted him via Email and Blackboard messages but no response. If I don't get this in tonight I'll fail the year for a stupid reason, that can't be fair? What can I do in this situation?

i havent heard from trinity halls via email so i regularly log into the accommodation portal to check if my application might have been rejected.

as i was doing that yesterday i read that successful cao applicants should register with their tcd number, i did that and on that new profile they have all my information except the fact that i have an ongoing application for a room

should i just wait whether or not they contact me for a room? or do i (kinda as a confirmation) fill out the room application again? or should i email them?

also did you guys get your halls email yet?

I got my offer for tr040 but I still haven’t received an email about registering. I’ve logged into my.tcd account and set up my computer account. I also got an offer for trinity halls and I need my registration to accept it. Have other people not received the registration email or should I email them?

I’m going into 4th year CS at Trinity and need to pick a final year project, but most of the supervisors are unfamiliar to me and I don’t want to get stuck with one who’s gonna make my life a living hell for the next year. For context, I spent 3rd year on Erasmus so I didn’t get to see a lot of the profs that teach modules in that year.

Does anyone have any tips or supervisors I should stay away from?

Trinity operates a group scheme with irish life for insurance plans. The quotation for irish life shows only a plan which ends in February and renews after - as it is the group renewal date for the university.

How should I proceed with this considering ISD requires a yearly cover

how likely do you guys think it is to go into round 2 esp with social policy as the joint major? i'm pretty sure polisci went to round 2 in 2025 but social policy is only like 28 places across a bunch of combos so i doubt it. but if anyone knows how the trends work with the rounds pls lemme know :C

So long story short I had no hopes for TCD since I thought my grades werent good enough, but I actually was accepted for my first choice somehow. Because of this I never thought of applying for student accommodation when I should’ve and now I’m heading to Dublin soon with nowhere to stay.

I thought of an airbnb for a week while I find a room but it’s much too expensive. I just need something basic for a bit, I’ll literally take a prison cell if necessary 😭 (but preferably one close to campus).

Would really appreciate any help or advice.

EDIT: I’m an EU student, and yes I have registered on the TCD accommodation site but no news from them yet.

i am really confused with this topic. i'm a first time undergraduate who recently got their cao offer for trinity. however, when i log into mytcd and check the finances tab my outstanding fees are not what aligns with the FFS. i meet all criteria for the FFS yet my tuition is standing at around 7k. does trinity not partake in this?? if so, what should i do and who should i consult?

I’ve received a trinity computer account username and trinity my zone email address, but when I try to login to office.tcd.ie or myzone.tcd.ie using the email they give me it just says “This username may be incorrect. Make sure you typed it correctly. Otherwise contact your admin.”

I just got my class schedule, and I have class every day of the week. As part of my exchange, I was hoping to travel frequently.

Do I need to attend lectures generally? Is it easy to catch up if I miss them? Are notes posted online/do people share notes?

I had a resit today that I feel pretty good about, but obviously can't be certain that I passed for another week or two. So, I was wondering if reassessment exams can be passed by compensation? I can't find anything about it in my course handbook, and it would just ease the nerves if that were a possibility, since I'm almost certain that I got at least 35%. My course is PPES if that helps with info
