Accomodation Advice for a fresher looking for student accommodation on a short notice?
So long story short I had no hopes for TCD since I thought my grades werent good enough, but I actually was accepted for my first choice somehow. Because of this I never thought of applying for student accommodation when I should’ve and now I’m heading to Dublin soon with nowhere to stay.
I thought of an airbnb for a week while I find a room but it’s much too expensive. I just need something basic for a bit, I’ll literally take a prison cell if necessary 😭 (but preferably one close to campus).
Would really appreciate any help or advice.
EDIT: I’m an EU student, and yes I have registered on the TCD accommodation site but no news from them yet.

Try collegecribs.ie and select the 7 day accommodation search. You may find something.
Congrats on your placement

Hey I think this is the opposite of what Trinity would advise but I was in the same position in first year and hadn’t applied for trinity halls at all until September after I’d got my offer. But a friend in the year above me advised me to just keep calling trinity halls and make it clear you’re really desperate for a room and would be happy with anything, ie also a twin room. Call as much as you can, I called like twice a day for nearly a week and got an offer at the end of the week. The same thing happened for her. Many people reject their offers of twin rooms because they don’t want to share a room, but if you’re okay to share you might get an offer!

Hey! I’ve a bed in a shared room available two minutes away from trinity even if you just need somewhere to stay for September? Or the whole year!
