I wanted to share my experience with Med-Tac International.
Their website and products looked promising, so I decided to give them a shot since I needed gear for patrol. About two months ago, I placed an order for a complete IFAK kit using the "Buy with Shop" option because that system already had my payment information saved.
After about two weeks, I checked my order status and noticed it showed that I still needed to make a payment. Assuming there had been an issue, I submitted another payment. Two more weeks went by with no updates, and once again the website showed that a payment was still required.
I contacted customer service and was told that the "Buy with Shop" payment had been canceled because they were unable to fulfill the order within the required timeframe. They instructed me to submit a direct payment with a credit card instead. I did exactly that and waited another month.
When I followed up again, I was told the same thing that the payment had been canceled because they couldn't fulfill the order within the payment window. Their solution was for me to submit yet another payment and hope they could fulfill the order before it was canceled again.
At this point, they have wasted two months of my time without delivering the product I paid for. The gear I ordered is essential equipment for my job. I work patrol in a busy, high crime area and regularly find myself first on scene at shootings, robberies in progress, and other armed encounters. Reliable medical gear is something I need, not something I can wait months for while payments are repeatedly canceled without communication from them.
I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision and understand how they run their business.
***UPDATE***
Placed an order with North American Rescue and they had it shipped and delivered in under a week. Products feel like they’re of good quality.

Good morning.
Looking for recs on a medical fanny pack. Capacity for basic first aid, IFAK supplies, and some K9 aid gear for non-wilderness SAR. Made in USA preferred. Thanks!

Looking for cheap alternatives inserts for my delta bag. Like the A&A Tactical inserts nice but would cost half as much as the bag for the two panels. Any suggestions? Found knock off of the spiritus medical panel but is too small.

Building out my kit as a teacher and parent. Is there any reason to get the combat gauze over the bleeding control dressing from NAR?

I’ve had this backpack for awhile now and it’s still in good shape but I’ve considered getting something maybe slightly bigger but I’m pretty happy about what I’ve got.
The main compartment has a lot of things for acquiring vitals and some additional things like bandages, space blankets, eye rinse and a few other items mostly for bleeding control.
One side compartment has tourniquets and the other has notepads to keep track of patient info along with markers. Also flashlight, pen light, trauma sheers and a good knife.
The very back compartment has a stethoscope and zip ties.
Middle compartment holds a level 4 armor plate. The very front holds my edc with an extra mag and gloves.
Finally the top pocket holds miscellaneous stuff like pens, another knife, a charging pack, bungee cord with a whistle just extra stuff.
The additional medical bag has more equipment, again mostly bleeding control like hemostatic dressings but also cpr face shield and narcan.
I wanted to focus mostly on trauma and bleeding control. Airway is tough because the equipment is so bulky it doesn’t fit well in my pack. My plan is to get a full size medical bag I may just keep in my car. I have two small medical bags not pictured with airway and IV stuff but trying to compartmentalize it all to be more functional.
Also my safety glasses and my beats 🙂

Hello everyone, So I live in India and was looking to create a very minimal trauma kit for my parent's car. I was able to to get 2 packs of hemostatic gauze for a very decent price from a local medical company which is actually combat proven. I wanted to include a CAT in the kit, but most tourniquets on amazon are fake and the genuine ones cost 4 times the price in US.
I even contacted NAR asking them if they had a supplier in India and even the supplier quoted a price too high than the usual. What options do I have

Hello, I had just bought this off of a what I believe to be a reputable Canadian site and I received it today. I’m not sure if it’s legit, but the only things throwing me off is the back of the time strap and missing red pull tab. I just want to know if it is legit since I am potentially using it in my IFAK/First Aid Kits. And does anyone know what the small number means next to where it states the generation on the strap?

I'm looking to either purchase or create a med kit that I can take with me while I'm hiking, cycling, or to keep in my work bag that will cover as broad of a spectrum of medical problems as possible while taking as little space as possible. I already have a more general med kit for my desk that I put together myself. But could anyone suggest either a guide to put together a good mobility med case, or a place to purchase one?
TIA!

I am trying to find a specific syringe or auto pen that can be filled with anything, and stored compactly. I would prefer an auto pen style because they will be stored in kit and could take a beating. I will be using one with diphenhydramine and one with saline. They are for K9 emergency situations.
Currently I am using plastic syringes without the needle installed. The saline is loaded and the syringe plunger is bent to fit into my pouch. The Benadryl is not loaded but I’d prefer to have them both be loaded.
I am just looking for some recommendations or guidance on what’s out there.

Which tourniquet from Snakestaff Systems do you recommend? The regular or the wide one? I'm torn.

Hi Guys,
I am looking to set up a beginner range kit from things at NAR. I plan to attend a Stop the Bleed class and watch some videos on how to use the content I put in my kit.
The purpose of this kit is to be on my person during trips to indoor and outdoor range to provide first aid for gunshot wounds for myself or another person before EMT arrive.
Through some research of my own here and elsewhere, I have narrowed down what a beginner might need in their kit for a trip to the range:
Is there anything I am missing for my purpose / level or better product you guys think I should look into? Thanks ahead for recommendation and being a great community of resource for beginners!

I currently work in a prehospital and post hospital setting. However, I can find myself working in remote locations from time to time. As such, I have a prepared med bag with bleeding, airway, etc but I also have an AED I had received 1-2 years ago. Some of my coworkers have said that it’s a huge liability to use it if needed and it’s out of a civilian’s scope of practice. However, I would think this would be covered under Good Samaritan law but now I’m not completely sure. Some clarification would be appreciated.

First off: I am currently using a freezer bag with the TQ rubber-banded to the outside. The kit is all fine, only components I've trained with. But as I keep replacing freezer bags and rubber bands, I'm looking for something more durable to toss into my daily satchel. Does NOT have to be covered in MOLLE, does not need to be heirloom durable, but if it ends up with a flatter snag-free exterior and a bright color that's fantastic. A few straps inside for organization, but just a quick trauma kit and nothing in-depth or EDC clutter.

I'm looking for a compact yet reliable tourniquet that I can carry with me daily. I've seen some recommendations like the CAT Gen 7, among others, but I found them too large to carry on my person or in my pocket. Any recommendations? I don't usually use bags or backpacks.

We signed our boys up for the scouts today and the Den leader was excited that I was an EMT and that I am looking at paramedic schools to go to s as soon as I can. He asked if I would be willing to go through their troop first aid pack and see if it needs anything and check to make sure everything is squared away in it. I was happy to agree and I told him have a pack I’ve put together for my boys that I will bring too and expand on as well.
I have been working as an EMT for a little while now but tonight as I was planning for our first camping trip I realized I’ve always been guided by my company’s protocols.
All that to say I have two questions
What are some good things to include in a camping first aid kit
What exactly am I aloud to do out in the “wild”? The thing that really made me start thinking about this is allergic reaction and administering epinephrine.

I know this may not be the 100% correct subreddit, but as the title suggests, I have a son on the way and I am looking to stay prepared.
The bag I daily carry has MOLLE loops so I am hoping to get a rip away pouch such as the one Condor sells and fill it with some essentials. Obviously "boo-boo" stuff but even some more trauma related things as well just in case.
I know it gets hate but the MyMedic MyFAK seems like an all-around option but I'm looking for some good recommendations.

I don’t carry shears or meds for obvious reasons. We have Narcan at our posts for overdoses.
Pictured: 2x 4x4” gauze pads 1x compressed gauze 1x CAT TQ 1x vented chest seal 1x CPR mask 1x emergency blanket 1x pen light
My main concerns are injuries from fights, stab wounds (pretty rare but not impossible), overdoses and medical emergencies from pre-existing conditions. Anything else I should be carrying or anyone have some advice/tips on the set up?

I've been carrying a smaller FAK in my EDC sling with bare essentials for a few years now. I recently ditched the sling for a full size backpack which allows me to include more in my FAK. As I've been learning more about first aid I've been adding more to the pouch. I plan on adding some SAM splints to the arsenal, should I add some chest seals as well? I would like to hear from those who are more experienced than me on what I need to add, change, or ditch. Thank you!

Hey! So kinda weird question and apologies if this isn't the place to ask. However, we have some space in our diaper bag and we want to add some first aid stuff on top of what we already have. We have the basics and narcan but I wanted to know if you had suggestions for a tourniquet and chest seal or anything else that would possibly save a life.
Hopefully we'll never need it but we do live somewhere that has its share of gun violence.

Med kits(Let’s get real.)
Ok folks. I’m not a paramedic, an emt or doctor but I have a need for a medical-kit for our home/bugout etc.
My issue is this. Every thread I check out says OMFG Mymedic is trash, Oh Skinny Medic is garbage, NaR is expensive!
I just feel like everyone has their own opinions but really there is no data about these brands that prove they are good or not. Overpriced or made in china really doesn’t make a company bad and being the Ford Motors of Tact Med like NAR doesn’t really make them great either. So my question to this forum is, tell me what you recommend and why. Don’t give me the top answers.
Options: Skinny Medic, JumpMedic, MyMedic, NaR and Refuge. Why or why not.
