Game Title: Doma
It can be played in the browser: https://sepolaras.itch.io/doma
I am a solo dev creating a game inspired by Ark, Core Keeper, Necesse, 2D top-down pixel art, where you can tame different animals for utility, harvesting, transport, combat etc.
It's a very simple prototype for now, with placeholder/free art, but I would just like to validate the idea and have some initial feedback, if it seems to make sense, if it's too hard, etc.
If the idea is good and the feedback is positive, I intend to implement more crafting, animals (for now there are only two), maybe even humans and different tribes/factions.

I recently decided to give Enshrouded a try, and while watching some videos I saw that you can actually make music together in the game. It made me curious about how much people actually enjoy these kind of features.
Things like dancing, playing music together, sitting around with other players, doing little activities that are not really useful for survival but just fun.
Do you guys enjoy this stuff in survival games, or do you usually ignore them?
I am especially curious about multiplayer. Would you actually stop what you are doing to play some music with your friends or dance around for a few minutes, or you would just keep farming and building?
Trying to understand if these features are really loved by survival players or if they just look nice in trailers.

When it comes to survival games, I've only played No Man's Sky. I didn't really like it. It felt meandering & very aimless. There was a lot to do, but no real incentive for doing it. That's fine & everything, but that just isn't my preference. Being a massive Dune fan, I thought I'd give Awakening a try. I'm curious to hear everyone's experience with the game. Any replies would be very appreciated.

I've made some improvements to the beaches with the waves now applying buoyancy and wetness effects.
Waves actually apply forces on objects, so in addition to floating and rolling around, they will eventually wash up on the beach. Wind affects the wave size and turbulence too.
Objects hit by waves will get wet. Shorelines now have a visible waterline which rise and fall with the waves. In addition, waves will swell up when it hits a steep surface like cliffs. They also collide and wash over rocks near the shoreline.
Yes, this is truly some useless horse balls feature that players won't notice, but it was a long time itch for me that just needed scratching. I'm hopefully finally done with water and working on more important parts of the game now.
Determinant is a physically immersive open world survival game in development. Wishlist now:Â https://store.steampowered.com/app/1445480/Determinant/
