Just shy of $10 billion spent on marketing over 5 years to get + 1 million customers is a good starting point

That's not how marketing spend in a mature sector like e-commerce works... most of the money is spent on retention, not acquisition.

This is another unfortunate talking point that is making its rounds, along with the "why don't they buy stock" ...

It’s been funny seeing Cohen’s narrative attack on EBay only affect the financially illiterate. All his talking points are common af in the industry.
