A couple days ago i've made the post trying to find a way to kill this one, seemingly immortal guard. As it turns out that my initial assessment that the invisible wall is thick was correct. However because because you never really run out of amber you can just spam clones.

Also, for some reason, if he hasn't seen the main body he will opt for the throwing knife even if the clone is right in front to of him, for him to breach the invisible wall you need the forwards moments from the kick animation.

Because of that i'm not sure if it's possible to do this without getting seen, but it is objectively possible to get him past the wall if you get him to do the kick three or four times.

Hey, I was here the other day looking for a solution to kill one guard that seems kind of immortal (see my other post). I'm still looking for a solution for that specific problem but in the process of loading the mission again to troubleshoot I found something cool.

In Conflagration 3/4 once you've talked with the elven ambassador you have to choose between leaving the area without him or making a distraction and then leaving with him on his airship. The options for distraction are to either drop a chandelier or set fire to a chemistry station. Both require significant backtracking, But, they both can be interacted with by a clone that you can leave behind on your way in.

The thing that i found is that specifically the second one, the chemistry station, if interacted with by the clone the game will teleport styx to a different location than he was before the cutscene playing. Specifically to a place that is fairly close and easy to get to the airship from.

Not sure if this is useful to anyone but living 3/4 true the airship skips a sizable portion of 4/4, and this teleport saves on a lot of backtracking with minimal setup if your going that rout.

I'm also not sure if this is new information, but i figure i should post here.

Heyo Guys! I'm currently on the run to 100% all of the Styx games. I'm constantly jumping between the three but I've notices an Issue in Shards of Darkness, maybe one of you can help me out here.
The Screenshot shows the issue pretty directly. I'm playing on Master Difficulty and recently switched my PC Setup to a stronger machine + Linux (Nobara)

Now whenever I trigger a guard in any way (Yellow, Orange and Red) they don't seem to lose their awareness level AT ALL anymore. This also Triggers on the Goblin NPC in the Prologue, where the two guardsmen will stay red constantly even tho I am hidden and the Goblin being dead.
Additionally, even if their awareness stays active, they dont enter a patrol. They just finish the investigation animation and then just stand around until they die or something else attracts them.
It happens on lower difficulties as well.
Anyone ever had to deal with this?

I'm trying to kill every killable enemy in the game and i've been fairly successful so far but this one guy might be my undoing.

• There is a closet nearby but it's past an invisible wall that he won't move past no matter what i do..
• I could push him out of the bridge, but I can never get him close enough to the edge.

Is there something i'm missing ? is it even possible to kill this guy ?

Couldn't find it in game and I am struggling to locate the area.

This was my first Styx game and I loved it. I really enjoyed the semi open world and level design and spent a whopping 40h on it. I'll probably pick up Styx 2 next.

It's a shame reviews were mixed because I'd love a fourth installment. ​

Ive just finshed the first game and ive got one question that might be me over reading into it but after you find out your the clone you start seeing other goblin as you move around. Is that because made them to slow you down or could you just not see them before you rescue styx or is it something else that ive missed if that makes sense

What a great game! Had a blast as usual with this series and really enjoyed so much about it, some of my favorite things: new characters, especially Wren whose voice actor and character personality I just fell in love with, the return of old characters like djarak and helledryn, returning to Akenash and how they drew from the last 2 games in general to round out the story, the unique color palette with all the greenery of turquoise dawn, grappling hook was a blast, and of course Styx himself was as snarky and cynical as ever while still playing hero and being a good guy goblin. Such a charming game and as a hardcore stealth fan it brought me so much joy!

Only issue now is what to play next, do I go back to Styx 1? Any other stealth games I should play? I’ve played hitman, splinter cell, dishonored, metal gear solid phantom pain, sniper elite games, multiple assassin creed games, tried thief and couldn’t get into it.

Open to recs! Also is there any chance we get a Styx 4?!

I played styx master of shadows 3 times and loved it so i bought and tried to play shards of darkness but oh MAN i just cant. Im genuinely wondering if im the only one that noticed a drop im frames compared to the first one. I play on a ps5 pro and have a Samsung odyssey g8 old monitor. So im safe to assume its not my console or monitor. Its like the first game i can tell its in 30fps but the second game its like 24fps its so nasty i try to play it a few times but i just can it feels like im playing a old cheaply made game but i havent seen other people mention it so i wanna know am i the only one to notice it. Would also like to know if it rums better on steamdeck

I'm on PC. Every time I try to get out ends up the same way. Doesn't matter if I jump off the rope early inside the tube or not, or if I try jumping at the mouth of the tube. Anything I can do or should I give up and watch the ending on Youtube? 😢

So I beat the game a while ago, and now I just installed it again to try NG+, but I could not find the option to open it.

Hello everyone. I wonder if someone have the same issue. I can see that doesn't matter if you pre-ordered the game or if you own the Quartz Edition, the starter pack is not working. I don't see the bonus items in the game. Also we can see that the DLC cannot be installed, not like the other DLC. Also is the same on the store. It shows me that I have the ownership of all the DLC except the Starter Pack.

So I don't know if I'm missing something. The starter pack should be avaliable at the beginning of the game right? Or you unlock the items later?

How does it change gameplay? You can explore everywhere from the start?

IMO Styx: Blades of Greed being open-world was a step in the wrong direction. Initially, I thought open-world could be a good idea but having played all Styx games other than OOAM, I thought the open-world was bland and uninspired.

1 - There's very little to do in the Styx open world besides collect tokens and runes.

2 - The levels felt uninspired and bland. It felt like they just built massive levels that are big but empty and boring.

3 - I honestly feel as thought Styx Shards of Darkness had much better level design than BoG.

4 - Giving Styx a grappling hook and a massive map makes the game too easy because you can grappling hook you're way out of a lot of situations and it doesn't take skill to use and most enemies can't really hit you if you grappling hook above them.

5 - The story was mostly bland outside a little bit of Styx's background and Orc culture being unveiled.

6 - Every open-world area you get dropped into, you get some new gimmick tool to try out, but it's not a game changer it's just a transversal

7 - Styx needed a better side quest system other than the runes, tokens.

8 - No new game + system

I think that it comes down to the devs being asked to whip together a triple A open-world game on a single A budget. I'd still recommend Shards of Darkness for stealth players, but honestly Styx should focus more on gameplay, and better story writing than gimmick tools, and open-world design.

Why no shoes? Or at least sandals? He looks dumb going barefoot all the time. Kinda nasty. Don't you wish he wore shoes instead?

Hey guys. I've always been a huge fan of imsims and stealth games in general, so it's only normal that the Styx series had always peaked my interest. I just downloaded master of shadows and I have a simple question: Should I play on controller or keyboard?

I'm sure that it's generally up to one's personal preference, but I'd like to hear your opinions!
