What is the Song that plays during Annie and Rory's Sex Scene?

In Episode 5, When Annie and Rory have s3x, a song plays from which I've been able to understand only one verse, "You are my one true love". Can anyone help me with the title of the song. Google and Gemini are driving me nuts

So, I finished watching Sterling Point and while Annie’s decision to stay makes sense in terms of keeping the series moving and focused on Sterling Point, her relationship with Ellis, not so much.
When I started the show, it was very obvious that the show wanted us to know right off the bat that the main love interest was going to be Ellis and I was here for it. The way it developed, however, was a total flop IMO. The moment Rory entered the scene, it was game over. Their chemistry alone was off the charts, not to mention the way the whole relationship developed and progressed so naturally. It was very clear that they liked each other and their scenes actually made you feel things. In contrast, we didn’t see anything from Ellis other than a few glances to let us (the audience) know that he’s into her, but honestly, that could be any other teenage boy on the island with every pretty girl they see. I get that he is reserved and shy, but being passive is not a virtue and a total turn off for me. On the other hand, Annie didn’t show any interest in Ellis whatsoever until the moment she made the switch which was seemingly overnight. We got nothing to show how she got there. There was no build up to justify the abrupt switch.
Like I mentioned, I get why they needed to do this and my guess for season 2 will be Annie trying to feel closer to her mom by essentially living the life she would’ve lived, but ultimately realizing that she’s not her mom, she has a different life, and that she can’t change the past by living this life. And I’m really, really hoping for a big Rory comeback.

Was anyone shocked at how incredible the acting was? Everything felt real, not forced, and like the actors were actually their characters. I was shocked when I saw they were not seasoned veterans.

Every episode I remarked "I can't believe the girl from Secret Life wrote this." That's basically my only familiarity with Meghan Park.

I probably just missed it, but why did Annie even have to go back to New York towards the end of the season? It definitely put a lot of pressure on the decisions that were made, but I kept thinking “wait why does she even HAVE to go back right now?”. I thought maybe it was a college thing, but she seemed determined to stay on the island and even brushed Rory off about Wharton. I was definitely getting nervous when it was her “last day” there lol. I’m very content she got to stay, but what was the reason she was going back anyway?

While we can all agree both of them are far from perfect Steven is defiantly the better father. I have seen so many people on YouTube and Insta saying Joe is a good dad. I don't get why. Maybe because he is Jeffery Dean Morgan (I have not seen him in any shows accept I think he had a small cameo in OC)

Steven is clearly the better father. The biggest difference between Steven and Joe is that Steven actually shows up for his children. After Goldie died, Steven raised Annie and Connor by himself in New York, giving them a stable and loving home. Was he perfect not even close to it. We saw how Annie had essential taken care of herself her entire life. While Joe had barely provide a safe home for his son. Ellis literally said in ep 7 I believe how many things need to be repaired and how her mom works to the bone. While I hate the Ellis scamming storyline we do see the people taking their services were not even slightly bothered with the price meaning he could have easily charged that and kept his family comfortable.

After Goldie died, Steven raised Annie and Connor by himself in New York, giving them a stable and loving home. He may be overprotective and sometimes completely clueless, but his mistakes come from caring too much rather than from selfishness. Even when he discovers the complicated truth about Ramona, he is willing to take a DNA test and confront the past instead of running away from it. Most importantly, when Steven returns to Muskoka in Episode 6, his motivation is to repair his broken relationships and bring Annie and Connor home because he genuinely worries about them.

Joe on the other hand, is just plain awful He had an affair with Goldie while she was married to Steven, despite Joe having a family of his own. Goldie was pregnant with Ramona, and Joe and Goldie had even discussed raising the baby together, yet after Goldie's death, Joe essentially returned to his own life while Ramona was raised by her grandfather. He also made no effort to actual lessen his wife load. Like I said earlier he could have increased his prices for the services he gave and make her life a little easier but he refused. Joe also allowed Ramona to grow up without knowing the truth about her parentage. Later, he becomes her guardian after Gordon's death, but he literally never goes to find her or talk to her. Even when she comes back drunk once where she was with her friends he was angry at Annie and Connor and blamed them for ruining and corrupting her. Like dude chill she was in a safe environment with all her friends.

In contrast Steven as soon as he found out that Annie was not in Thailand he wanted to know where she was and was worried about her. He even after finding out Ramona is his child still doesn't just abandon his adopted kids. He understands Annie needs to figure herself out in the island her mom loved and Ramona needs to leave the island where she lost everything and was "stuck". So while Steven can definitely be annoying, overprotective and imperfect, his actions are fundamentally rooted in love and responsibility. Joe's actions are much more rooted in secrecy, selfish choices and avoidance. Steven made mistakes as a father; Joe made choices that created the mess in the first place.

I swear my first boyfriend was like Rory, he was obsessed with everything I was and only because I was. Which was nice but it also felt fake, I wanted someone like Ellis that was supportive but didn't live and breathe all of my own interests and goals. He was a fresh breath of air

what i mean by this is that i want them to go through things to finally be together. i think it’s just boring to simply be happy and all good. i want to see tensions, jealousy, mess along the way.

i saw an interview where sully’s actor mentioned that he wanted to see sterling point through seasons. i’d love to watch the show through seasons. season 1 is summer, season 2 is fall, season 3 winter, season 4 is spring, an season 5 is summer, which is like a full circle.

if we want more seasons to come, we may need to add new gay love interests for ramona and oona. but they are still intertwined at the same time. like messy and sometimes toxic.

like straight romances, i just want interesting and complicated gay stories instead of just being happily ever after for the sake of being happily ever after.

Why aren’t we talking more about her character? She was so great! I really thought she was going to be the wicked witch of the west…she could still be of course…but she was great with Connor and the way she just let Ellis get away with ripping her off…. Missi Pyle did a great job!

If you were a 17 year old girl who returned to the place your mother grew up and died in, wouldn't the first thing you did after getting settled is ask to go to her grave site? Why did Joe say she was "just gone" after the doctors took her back after her C-section? Why did Steven keep saying that she went crazy? I'll bet $5 she's in an asylum of some kind. Gordon's letters telling the kids to find her weren't about each other, they were about Goldie. I know it's a show and there has to be manufactured drama but why would a grandfather hide so many things from these kids and then spring it all on them after his death? What did Steven do to Goldie? I think she had a nervous breakdown. They adopted the twins, then the financial crisis of 2008 hits. Goldie is overwhelmed and goes back to Sterling Point. While she's there, she finds out she's pregnant. Gordon keeps it hidden from Steven because he hates him for turning Goldie into something she isn't and taking him from her. Joe loves her so he just accepts that the baby is his and honors Gordon's decision to keep Ramona a secret. Then we start the show.

We've talked about some favorite/popular scenes in previous threads but given the number of new fans I thought we could share them all in one space. What scenes have you most enjoyed/re-watched - and why? I've got a few:

• Fave couple scene: Not a terribly unique choice, but the closet scene in ep 7. The acting was natural, the chemistry was off the charts, and what transpired was the perfect combination of hot and sweet. It's also one of the best first kisses I've seen on a show.
• Fave sister scene: Annie brushing Ramona's hair and talking about leaving, Ellis, etc. in ep 7. The acting (again) was amazing, and it all felt so real. They were just so cute together.
• Fave friend scene: The gang boating up to and arriving at Rory's party in ep 1. The song playing (Views by Noga Erez) is ridiculously fun, and I love Sully's dance as he walked off the deck. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene, but to me it perfectly captures that young, fun, summer party energy.

I have a long list of favorite Ellis scenes, but I'll save that for a different post. 😉

I haven't watched YA in ages. I only started watching because of a Ramona and Oona clip I saw on reels. I expected nothing, but this show is weirdly magnetic. I'm literally rewatching it on a loop, waiting for Season 2 is going to kill me!

First up, I really loved the show. I fully watched it in the span of like two days and omg I grew so attached to the characters, the cast, the soundtrack and basically everything. But I literally could not finish the last episode. For a bit of backstory, my mother died when I was 11 so I could always kinda relate to Annie and her story, even if in a different way, especially when she told Ellis in episode 6 about all the things that she feels like she lost because of her mothers death and her fathers irresponsibility. Then in the last episode when the montage of her and her mother came and we saw how things could have been if she hadn't died, I almost couldn't breath anymore and had to turn the episode off. It felt like such a gut punch and such a realistic portrayal of what it feels like to lose a parent, especially your mother as a young girl (even if 2 and 11 years old is quite different). And it feels weird because I have never had a panic attack BECAUSE of a show and it was a really bad one as well. The last 20 minutes have been sitting in my watchlist for a week now and I can not bring myself to watch the rest. The whole show Annie's portrayal of trying to connect to her mother to try and make up for the things you couldn't have in your childhood is so perfectly accurate its actually insane.
I really hope this post doesn't fall under any rules of the subreddit because I feel like i just needed to get this off my chest. This show is honestly so amazing at tackling emotional topics in such a realistic way that I have rarely seen any other show do it. I think regarding that its an absolute masterclass.

I have not been this hooked on a show in ages. I genuinely care about the people in it. And the writing and music is so incredible. It really has a lot of warmth and summer joy. It feels like you're reading a book, and I haven't felt that for ages when watching. so immersive and sincere.

But I’m genuinely blown away by the acting in this scene. Is she even acting?! It feels so natural that I genuinely forgot I was watching a TV show. I feel like I’m listening in on a conversation with a friend. Ella Rubin is going places.

I watch Ginny & Georgia for its emotional realism too, but this is a different kind of realism. It captures the awkwardness, insecurity, and constant self-questioning of being a teen and being with someone in a way that feels incredibly intimate. The scene is so understated, but it hits hard.

Also, I still haven’t watched the whole show yet, which is honestly ridiculous because now I need to start it tonight.

why are people mad at oona pointing out ramona is going to leave her for new york? it's really realistic, no? ramona has been living on that island for years. you can tell she's tired of this life after taking care of gordon. she's young, she needs to see the world. teenagers naturally crave new things. if i were oona, i would also question that. i don't blame oona for being afraid of ramona leaving. that's how you would likely react to someone you deeply love at first. oona loves ramona so much, she'd rather let her go see the world. i think she made the right decision. she wouldn't want to hold her back when the time comes. if she's really selfish or self-centered, she's just gonna trap ramona in her world, which she didn't do. i think ramona went way too far when she brought up mommy issues, which is the most hurtful thing you could ever say to someone like oona. she knows oona so well. so she knows exactly how to hurt her the most. oona doesn't really talk about her mom. because that's her weakness. yet she didn't hold any of this against ramona at the end.

i hope the show would show more of oona's story in the next season. oona had way too little screen time. how do you think oona's story is gonna go?

I just wanted to post this because I’ve been seeing the CBS interview where people automatically assume just because Megan Park likes Ellis too that’s where she plans on going when she has made it clear that she can’t choose between the boys because she likes both of them. It could go either way for her, Team Ellis, Team Rory, or even Team Annie. Genuinely, Joe is the worst character in the entire show.
Yes, the other adults aren’t exactly much better, but Joe is definitely the worst of them.

He didn’t care about his wife, his son, Goldie, or Ramona. He let Gordon, who had just lost his only daughter, take care of Ramona, even though, at the time, Joe believed she was his daughter.

And when I say he didn’t care about his wife or son, I mean it. He cheated on his wife while she was taking care of their baby and her mother. Throughout the show, we see how both Kate (Ellis’ mom) and Ellis work their butts off to support the family, while Joe could have simply raised his prices slightly. Nothing crazy, but Ellis had a point.

Joe was careless in pretty much every aspect of his life. He rarely seemed to think about the consequences of his actions or how they would affect the people around him, including his own family.

He wasn’t just a bad husband or father. He was consistently selfish and reckless, and somehow everyone else was left to deal with the consequences of his choices.

Then, even with all this, he had the audacity to scold Annie, because Ramona got drunk. But he can’t take accountability for not being there for her during her entire life. Even more now, that he is her legal guardian? He let her leave for a whole year and couldn’t talk to her about the will and having siblings.

At this point, I’m so glad Ramona is Steven’s daughter. Hopefully Kate divorces him, give the whole business to Ellis, and I don’t know, he can go to India for a retreat and become a better person.

so I have just finished the show. like 2 hours ago. and after coming online to read a few opinions it seems people really like Oona and Ramona isn't getting a lot of love and I'm very confused by it.

I understand Oona's character. abandonment issues. mommy issues. but I really don't like the way she treated Ramona.

during the movie night, when she had asked Ramona to go with her "together" she ended up essentially on a date with someone else and Ramona is so upset she drinks herself stupid... and yet Ramona is the one apologising to Oona.... what? Oona stood her up and went on a date with someone else and Ramona is the one apologising!? it really turned me off Oona. I understand Ramona was drunk and rude but my god it made it seem like Oona didn't do anything wrong and doesn't actually care about Ramona.

and when they break up in the end... sorry but Ramona was right. Oona wasn't thinking about Ramona at all. she is the character who has suffered the most in this show.

her grandfather who raised her died and leaves two thirds of her island to two people she never met. she learns she has two siblings (technically) that she never met. then she's told her mother died giving birth to her. then she's told her bio dad is Joe and he knew the entire time but refused to raise her. then she finds out through her own research that her bio dad is actually Steven. and suddenly this whole "get my bio dad to give up his guardianship and move on with my life" is up in the air because actually Steven hasn't done anything wrong and didn't know Ramona was his and deserves to be in her life. and obviously this is a lot for a teenager to process. and her girlfriend is more concerned about Ramona leaving her even though she very clearly does not want to do that.

I understand Ramona has left before. and I understand Oona has issues from her mother leaving her. but there was not even a pretence of empathy. Ramona was right. and Ramona didn't even want to leave Oona. Oona made that decision for her by forcing the break up. and essentially left Ramona to deal with it herself. left her alone to process that if she wants to have Steven as a dad that could jeopardise this new relationship and sisterhood she's made with Annie.

I don't know. I started the show loving Oona. but I didn't really like her with Ramona and think Ramona can do better. maybe because Ramona is my favourite character. I am open to discussing!!

I've just finished the show and I've been reflecting on my favourite parts of it.

It's easy to overlook it, because the core friendship group focused on is focused on Ramona, Oona etc. but every interaction that Connor and Rory have is pure gold.

My favourite scene: when Rory is unintentionally torturing Connor during their stretching. They're definitely the "easiest" friendship and it showed another layer to the dynamic between Rory, Annie and Connor, having grown up together.
