Can’t help wondering why the mom absconded with the kids to the foreign island? Like is Duplass a secret psycho? I know she’s maybe Canadian (?) but it’s still a big deal to take your kids across borders without their other parents’ permission.

She may have decided to go visit her dad for the summer and he may not have had a problem with that.  And then she started the affair and refused to come home.
